Troubleshooting and Review of Online Faults for Interface Integration and Data Docking: HTTP Interfaces and External Systems

This category’s data comes primarily from customer system interfaces, public API documentation, integration test data, and operation logs. Daily

What data this category includes

This category’s data comes primarily from customer system interfaces, public API documentation, integration test data, and operation logs. Daily maintained documents include interface lists, integration records, field mapping tables, and issue tracking tables. These documents are updated daily or per project phase. Data fields include interface addresses, request methods, request header parameters, return field mapping relationships, and status code rules. Some fields must match the caliber definitions of both participating systems. There are no unified mandatory units, so adjustments must follow agreements between the docking parties.

Since data must be obtained from customer system interfaces and external APIs, and field calibers must be matched between both parties, the HTTP interface docking link must first complete field mapping configuration. This avoids request parameter or return data parsing failures caused by inconsistent calibers. The multi-dimensional nature of daily documents requires that the configuration entry supports batch import of documents such as interface lists and integration records. It must also adapt to daily or phase-level data update frequencies, and support dynamic adjustment of interface-related parameters. In addition, exception records in the issue tracking table must be linked with HTTP interface error logs. This allows quick location of abnormal nodes in the link.

How to set configurations

This document applies to FastGPT v4.17.0.

Configuration ItemRecommended ApproachRationale
Authorization header configurationBearer ${custom token}Follows HTTP standard authorization header format, adapts to identity verification requirements of most external APIs
Request variable configuration{"timeout": 25 seconds, "retryCount": 2}Based on common timeout and retry scenarios in integration logs, balances request success rate and business waiting time
Return data parsing rule$.result.dataAdapts to the return structure of most external APIs, facilitating extraction of core business data
Retry count configuration1–2 timesAvoids resource waste caused by repeated requests, while covering temporary network fluctuation scenarios
Field mapping configurationFollow the project’s field mapping tableMatches the field calibers of both participating systems, resolving data inconsistency issues

Three common mistakes

  • Symptom: Returns 403 Forbidden status code when calling an external API. Cause: Authorization header parameters are not configured correctly, or the token has expired and not updated, which does not comply with the identity verification rules of the external API.
  • Symptom: Related pages cannot be opened normally after redeploying the service. Cause: The configuration files for interface integration have not been synchronized and updated, or port mapping parameters do not match the newly deployed service, leading to abnormal service startup.
  • Symptom: A 404 error is returned when testing after adding an external interface on the platform. Cause: The HTTP interface address is not configured with the correct path from the interface list, or parameter configuration does not match the requirements of the external API, causing the request to fail to locate the corresponding resource.

How to confirm the configuration is complete

  • Call the test interface, check whether the authorization header parameters are correctly carried, and verify that the identity verification process works normally.
  • View integration logs, confirm that request parameters match the agreements in the field mapping table, with no missing fields or caliber errors.
  • Simulate business scenarios to trigger data exchange, and check whether the returned data matches the expected field mapping results.
  • Adjust the timeout and retry parameters, observe the operation of multiple calls, and confirm that the strategy meets business requirements.
