This configuration applies to FastGPT v4.17.0.
What the Category Data Looks Like
The data for this category typically comes from CRM systems, product usage logs, customer ticket statistics, and contract ledgers. Daily produced documents include customer health reports, renewal forecast sheets, high-risk customer lists, and customer communication notes. Data updates occur mostly on a weekly or monthly basis. Core fields include customer unique identifiers, contract expiration dates, product usage frequency, ticket response times, and renewal intention status. No additional custom statistical indicators are configured.
Constraints for Database and Operations Workflows
The original business systems remain responsible for authoritative business records, access permissions, approvals, and audits. FastGPT retrieves the necessary information through authenticated interfaces and handles retrieval, conversation, and workflow orchestration. Its backend database connections must be configured and diagnosed separately from the external business databases. A platform connection URL is not an entry point for arbitrary business tables.
For cross-system records, retain source identifiers, versions, and update times through the authorized integration, then synchronize searchable material into the knowledge base. Track successful, failed, retried, and deduplicated records in batch synchronization. Platform connection-pool capacity does not directly establish the throughput of an external interface. Define backup and retention procedures for each actual deployment. Before any cleanup, identify the data owner, verify a usable backup, and establish the recovery path.
How to Configure Settings
These settings distinguish FastGPT backend connections from business-system integrations. Check their exact use against the deployed version.
| Configuration Item | Recommended Approach | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
MONGODB_URI | Set the MongoDB address, authentication, and replica-set information for the actual topology | This connects FastGPT to its backend MongoDB. It does not establish that external contract or alert records have been synchronized |
PG_URL | Use the actual PostgreSQL/pgvector vector-database connection URL | This is a vector-database connection setting, not an interface for arbitrary business metadata tables or risk lists |
REDIS_URL | Configure Redis connectivity and authentication for the platform deployment | A platform Redis connection does not create an external business cache; that integration needs its own design and authorization |
DB_MAX_LINK | Calibrate against database resources, connection usage, and load tests | This controls the platform database connection pool. The v4.17.0 upgrade notes specify a 10–1000 range; it is not an external-interface throughput commitment |
| Business-data synchronization | Read through authenticated interfaces and retain source identifiers and update times | Compare authoritative source records with knowledge-base synchronization status |
| Backup and recovery | Verify recoverability in an isolated environment | Cover the actual backend components and retain the original business systems' own backup procedures |
Three Common Misconfigurations
- If the backend cannot connect after startup, inspect complete logs and check addresses, DNS, networking, authentication, database availability, and replica-set topology. A connection failure does not establish that persistent data must be deleted. Directory deletion is not a routine repair step.
- If a business-record query is empty, check source-system permissions, query conditions, record status, and synchronization results.
PG_URLpoints to the platform vector database; changing an imagined business schema there does not recover an external contract or alert table. - If a batch task times out, record timing and errors separately for the external interface, synchronization task, and platform database pool.
DB_MAX_LINKis one diagnostic consideration. A timeout alone does not prove the pool is too small.
How to Verify the Configuration
- Test backend connectivity from the FastGPT runtime environment and inspect startup logs. Confirm that addresses, authentication, and replica-set configuration match the deployment topology.
- Call the business query interface with authorized and unauthorized test identities. Confirm that the source system enforces access permissions and that the workflow cannot bypass a denial.
- Select business material with source identifiers. Compare source records with knowledge-base synchronization status and record created, changed, failed, and retried items separately.
- Observe connection usage, waits, and errors while calibrating the pool in a controlled test. A successful individual query does not establish sufficient capacity.
- Restore a backup in an isolated environment and compare restored records and retrieval results. Production-data cleanup requires the original system's separate change and recovery procedure.
