What the documents look like
For product questions in B2B marketplaces, this page examines FastGPT document chunking. Compare the material received with the sources used in the answer. The examples are hypothetical.
Constraints at the document chunking step
A new proposed B2B quotation provides a focused condition test: “Model P uses interface A; feature C is supplied only when module B is selected.” Parsed output needs a trace to the model, interface and condition. If feature C becomes an isolated sentence, a later search may return its name without the purchasing prerequisite. Compare original and parsed text first, then ask whether model P provides feature C and inspect the returned passage, without assuming a universal chunk length. The interface, option and feature belong to the proposed quotation, not FastGPT configuration. Preserve their identity as business-source text and check that the answer retrieves the same description instead of presenting those sample labels as software settings.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Item or implementation check | Input or condition | Traceable evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Parsed output | Model P, interface A, module B and feature C | Keep the selection prerequisite with the feature. |
| Condition completeness | Feature C requires selection of module B | Natural questions must retrieve the qualifying condition. |
| Original data and indexes | Independent identities for both quotations | An index summary is not original quotation wording. |
| Sample retrieval | Literal wording and a model-feature question | Inspect the original data actually returned. |
| Post-update review | Technical diagram previously missing | Inspect parsing, processing and indexes after addition. |
Documented conditions
| Documented item / implementation check | Condition |
|---|---|
Original-document check | Compare original files with parsed output. |
Chunk completeness | Keep conditions traceable to their subjects. |
Data and indexes | Retain original-data and index evidence separately. |
Sample retrieval | Retest literal wording and natural questions. |
Post-update check | Inspect training or index state after updates. |
Three common errors
A separately proposed earlier quotation says “feature C is optional.” Establish its version relationship to the newer wording before interpreting either source. Parsing must not merge them into a claim that every model includes the feature. Check independent source identities and whether an index summary loses “optional” or “only.” Even when a search returns index wording, trace it to the original data rather than treating a search phrase as contractual quotation text or a supply promise.
How to verify the setup
If the quotation refers to a technical diagram that was not supplied, register that missing source. Parsing the body cannot create specifications from an absent diagram, and a completed upload does not establish an answerable question. After obtaining the actual material, inspect parsed output and processing or index state separately. Repeat the same selection question to trace the added condition. Where the original already contains it but parsing omitted it, retain the exact passage and failed output.
