Amazon FBA preparation: product questions with retrieval

Review retrieval for product questions in Amazon FBA preparation. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

For product questions in Amazon FBA preparation, this page examines FastGPT retrieval. Compare the material received with the sources used in the answer. The examples are hypothetical.

Constraints at the retrieval step

A new FBA inbound-plan test says, “Foldable storage box; supplied to the warehouse in flat form.” Product-name and delivery-form questions need the same subject and qualification. Mark foldable and flat as required terms, then compare the originals returned by each mode for the complete question. A matching box name supplies neither assembled dimensions nor evidence of actual warehouse receipt; the test reads only the proposed plan wording.

Three common errors

A proposed carton-label note says “assembled-view illustration,” without an actual image. An answer treating it as a requirement for assembled delivery has confused display context and delivery form. Trace the plan and label separately. Also inspect citations reduced to box or illustration terms that omit the flat-form condition. Preserve full sentences and returned passages to distinguish a condition absent from candidates from one removed by token trimming before choosing the stage to adjust.

How to verify the setup

No folded dimensions were supplied, so flat cannot be converted into length and width. If output includes dimensions, inspect whether its citation belongs to another item instead of accepting a similar name. After obtaining the corresponding specification, repeat the question and record source additions separately from settings changes. Optimization must retain the inbound-form target, without changing it into an assembled-product question. Check minimum relevance under semantic or reranking conditions; a relevance score does not establish dimension evidence.
