What the documents look like
For product questions in JD POP seller operations, this page examines FastGPT hybrid retrieval. Compare the material received with the sources used in the answer. The examples are hypothetical.
Constraints at the hybrid retrieval step
The JD POP accessory test concerns the Product Information Sheet’s stated main functions: data transfer and charging. Locate that wording in candidates and retain the functional request in the complete question, beyond the broad category “electronic accessory.” Compare the two functions before and after reranking and trace the final citation. The word “charging” supplies no charging protocol, power rating or device-compatibility list that the attachment does not contain.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Item or implementation check | Input or applicable condition | Traceable check |
|---|---|---|
| Fused candidates | Data transfer and charging in the main-function field | Associate both functions with the same accessory. |
| Complete question | White and black in two attachments | Preserve product and colour sources without standardizing them. |
| Minimum relevance | Applies to semantic retrieval or reranking | Filtered results still require source-version checks. |
| Citation token limit | Function wording and qualified colour statements | Do not retain only the broad accessory category. |
| Missing-source retest | No explicit statement about battery inclusion | Do not invent either presence or absence. |
Documented conditions
| Documented item / implementation check | Condition |
|---|---|
Hybrid retrieval | Vector and full-text results use RRF fusion. |
| Reranking | Reranking reorders candidates using the full question. |
Minimum relevance | Filtering applies to semantic search or reranking. |
Citation limit | Citation content is limited by tokens. |
Question optimization | Compare subjects and restrictions after optimization. |
Three common errors
White and black appear in two proposed attachments for the same item. The colour check needs both sources visible, rather than selecting the colour closest to the question. Inspect product and version correspondence in candidates, followed by the effects of order and token trimming on the original statements. Different colour records remain a review point; whether they describe variants or an earlier edition requires source confirmation, without a decision based on reranking order.
How to verify the setup
The attachment does not explicitly state whether the accessory contains a battery. Neither its category nor the charging function supplies that answer. Inspect whether a top-ranked result actually mentions a battery or merely repeats the main-function field. Add the corresponding product information when available and record its path from recall into citation. Minimum relevance applies under semantic search or reranking; a threshold adjustment cannot turn an unwritten battery attribute into a supplied fact. An unstated battery attribute must not become “battery-free” either. The missing-evidence test should inspect both unsupported directions: assuming that a battery is present and assuming that it is absent. The source needs an explicit statement before that attribute can be reported.
