Marketplace category access: workflow routing for product questions

Review workflow routing for product questions in Marketplace category access. Check sources, input boundaries, error handling and repeatable test evidence.

What the documents look like

Marketplace category access happens before a listing is published or a store is onboarded. The core materials are the operating entity's qualifications and the chain of authorization. The documents handled day to day include the business license, trademark registration certificate, brand authorization chain, and industry licenses. These materials come from platform recruitment pages, the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System, trademark office data, and license systems. They are not updated on a fixed schedule; they are collected again at each onboarding attempt. The completeness of the entity qualification and the authorization chain directly affects whether the category can be published. Missing materials can lead to onboarding rejection or deposit occupation.

In the product information and selection question-answering task, the workflow assembles qualification materials into structured information that can be checked. When the form input node is triggered, the conversation enters an interaction state, collects required information, and passes that information to later nodes after submission. The user selection node evaluates the user's choice and executes the corresponding branch. Both interaction nodes record the workflow state and continue downward after the user completes the interaction.

Constraints at the workflow routing step

Judging qualification materials depends on four elements: subject, object, status, and valid scope. Comparison is possible only when the subject, period, and field are the same. A field that is not stated, or that has only related-stage evidence, counts as unsupported or pending verification. A pending review does not demonstrate a lack of operating permission. Signing, reaching cooperation, and contract effectiveness are three distinct facts. Values collected by a form do not constitute authorization, and retrieval does not constitute authorization. Order writes, document backfill, and external status synchronization require a separate business interface or a later process.

Hypothetical paper exercise sample

Material text for checking: A brand owner issued a Brand Authorization Letter on March 1, 2025, stating that the authorized object is "Hangzhou XX Trading Co., Ltd.," the authorized scope is "household appliance category," and the authorization is valid until February 28, 2026. A separate Trademark Registration Certificate states that the registrant is the same brand owner, the approved goods include "rice cooker," and the registration is valid until January 1, 2030.

Draft sentence to be judged: "Hangzhou XX Trading Co., Ltd. holds complete authorization for this brand's rice cooker under the household appliance category and can directly submit the category access application."

The draft sentence lacks a statement of whether the authorization letter covers the specific goods item, the rice cooker, and it does not check whether the authorized object and the trademark registrant are the same subject. The authorized scope says "household appliance category," and a rice cooker falls within that broad category, but the authorization letter does not list goods item by item. Whether the platform recruitment page requires goods-level authorization must be checked. The judgment condition is: same subject, same period, same field. The authorization letter and the trademark registration certificate share the same subject, but the goods scope field is not stated item by item in the authorization letter, so the claim is unsupported and cannot be judged as complete authorization.

Configuration and implementation checks

Configuration itemImplementation check on this pageCorrespondence with the sample
Form input nodeSet required fields: subject name, authorized object, authorized scope, validity start and endCollects the subject and object of the authorization letter in the sample
User selection nodeSet the "yes" branch to confirm whether the authorized scope covers the specific goodsMakes a selection on whether the rice cooker falls within the authorized scope
Output handoffPass the information collected by the form explicitly to later retrieval or judgment nodesPasses subject, object, and scope to the checking node
Retrieval associationLibraries using the same vector model can be associated together; for cross-model libraries, verify identifiers firstChecks whether trademark office data and the authorization letter are in the same library
External operation divisionOrder writes, document backfill, and external status synchronization connect to a separate business interfaceCategory access submission is not executed by this workflow

Three common errors

  1. Treating the authorized object collected by the form as already authorized. A form-collected value only shows what the user entered; it does not show that authorization has taken effect. During checking, compare the subject and object in the authorization letter's original text; the condition is met only when the two match.
  2. Treating a retrieval result as a permission judgment. Semantic recall and relevance in a retrieval library do not handle permission or entity isolation. During checking, confirm whether the retrieval scope contains the target material, and record a gap when it is missing.
  3. Treating a pending-review status as already rejected or already approved. A pending review does not demonstrate a lack of operating permission. During checking, compare the status field stated in the material; when it is not stated, record it as pending verification.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the authorization letter text and the draft sentence from the sample, and compare whether the authorized scope field lists the rice cooker item by item. If the authorization letter says only "household appliance category," then the draft sentence's "complete authorization" is unsupported and should be recorded as pending verification.
  2. Input the trademark registration certificate and the authorization letter from the sample, and compare whether the registrant and the authorized object are the same subject. If they match, the subject field meets the condition; if they do not match, exclude that material and record the actual observation.
  3. Input an explicit paper empty result [] and check whether the downstream design handles an empty-result branch. If the downstream node has no empty-result handling, record it as a gap, and do not claim that a fictional rule retrieval will necessarily return [].
