What the documents look like
Group-buy presale operations collect orders first and organize procurement and fulfillment afterward. The materials handled in product information and selection Q&A are the presale product table, order-collection results, the procurement plan, and the order-cutoff notice. These materials update daily and per session, and product specifications, supplier details, and arrival information can change around each cutoff. The people asking selection questions are typically platform operations, procurement planning, and supply chain scheduling staff, and their questions concern the specification, supplier, planned quantity, and cutoff arrangement of a product in a given presale session. Because updates are frequent, ingestion and indexing need to follow the material version, and any cited original text must correspond to a specific session and a specific product.
Constraints at the vector indexes step
Knowledge bases associated for retrieval must use the same vector model; check the actual model and input type first. One original data block can be associated with multiple indexes, and the index and the original content are checked separately. Index content is built from complete and focused information, and retrieval coverage and index length are weighed together against samples. Image retrieval also depends on whether ingestion generated an image description or an image vector, and the query side alone does not decide this. After a model or index change, compare cited original text using the same set of questions, and do not promise results from a vector score alone.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample: the source material is three sentences. "The presale product for this session is 'Chunsee Ponkan, 5-jin pack,' the supplier is batch A, and the planned procurement quantity is determined by the order-collection result." "The order cutoff is 20:00 on the day after this session opens, and no new orders are accepted after cutoff." "The procurement plan is compiled by the procurement planning role after cutoff, and warehouse routing is arranged separately." One draft sentence to be assessed is: "This product can still accept additional orders after cutoff, and the procurement planning role adjusts procurement accordingly." The comparison object is the three source sentences above and this draft sentence, and the assessment scope is limited to this session's presale product information. The draft sentence and the second source sentence take mutually exclusive values on the field of whether new orders are accepted after cutoff, so the draft is unsupported.
Retrieval and relevance do not perform permission or entity isolation. Knowledge bases with different vector models cannot be associated together; check identifiers, exclude those that do not match, and record the actual observation. RRF is a fusion process for mixed results and is not an independent switch. Image retrieval requires corresponding image input and model capability, and reranking requires a model and is enabled according to settings.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration or check item | Corresponding content on this page | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| Vector model of associated knowledge bases | Knowledge bases holding the presale product table and order-collection results | Check the actual model identifier and input type, and exclude inconsistent ones |
| Index-to-original-data correspondence | Original data blocks for product specification, supplier, and cutoff time | Check whether the indexes field and the original data are in the same group |
| Index content scope | Segmentation and completeness of each session's product information | Compare cited original text using the same set of questions |
| Image index generation | Whether product images were ingested and a description or vector index was built | Check whether the corresponding index was generated at ingestion |
| Citation limit | Tokens of content cited per search | Check against the tokens unit described in the documentation |
| Minimum relevance | Filtering threshold for semantic retrieval or result reranking | Compare the 0-1 value against actual citations |
Hypothetical trial starting value: set minimum relevance to 0.4, for the reason of making it easier to observe citation differences before and after filtering, and the comparison object is the cited original text for the same set of questions before and after filtering. This value is only a hypothetical starting point on this page and is not an official default.
Three common errors
- Treating retrieval as authorization. Retrieving a product record does not mean that record has been approved for this session's procurement or handover. The draft sentence "can still accept additional orders after cutoff" has no corresponding support in the source text, and a retrieval hit does not change that gap.
- Associating knowledge bases with different vector models together. The documentation states that associated knowledge bases must use the same vector model. When a knowledge base has an inconsistent model identifier, exclude it, and do not run cross-model retrieval to compare missed recalls.
- Treating image retrieval as a default path. Image retrieval requires image input and model capability, and whether an image description or image vector index was generated at ingestion must be checked separately. Uploading an image on the query side does not replace the ingestion index.
How to verify the setup
- Input the three hypothetical source sentences above and the draft sentence, and compare the draft sentence with the second source sentence on the field of whether new orders are accepted after cutoff. If the values are mutually exclusive, the draft sentence is unsupported. The expectation is to record that gap, without judging the additional order as approved.
- Input the same set of product information questions, and compare whether the cited content falls within the original text of the presale product table, order-collection results, procurement plan, or cutoff notice for the corresponding session. If the cited original text matches the same session and product as the question, the citation is checkable. The expectation does not guarantee a first-hit or full recall.
- Input a paper empty result [], and compare whether the downstream design carries a citation path of length 0. If the output path still runs through, empty-result handling is usable. This check does not claim that a fictional rule retrieval necessarily returns [].
A pending review does not demonstrate the absence of an operating permission, and signing, reaching cooperation, and contract effectiveness are three distinct facts. Business actions that require separate system implementation, such as procurement plan compilation and warehouse routing, are not completed within this page's retrieval step.
