JD POP seller operations: conversation logs for after-sales questions

Review conversation logs for after-sales questions in JD POP seller operations. Check input mappings, source evidence and failure handling before use.

What the documents look like

JD POP third-party stores operate around open platform dispute rules and warranty-period service documents. The working materials for order fulfillment and after-sales answering include the product information table, the shipping-time agreement, the dispute handling form, and the warranty-period service record. A single order carries its promised ship date in one document, the buyer address in another, and the evidence-submission stage in the dispute handling form. Conversation logs record the question-and-answer process only. The supplied brief states the update frequency as daily and per order; this page does not derive batch, real-time, or transaction-triggered mechanisms from that frequency.

The gap between a log entry and a business record matters here. A sentence appearing in a conversation log does not mean the corresponding business field has been completed, and it does not mean reconciliation, retention, or a compliance audit has finished. Run detail requires the documented detail setting before responseData is returned; without it, intermediate module states are not returned. A retrieval relevance score expresses similarity only and does not act as a permission or entity-isolation filter.

Constraints at the conversation logs step

Logs are grouped by chatId, where one chatId corresponds to one conversation. Content in the log must be checked field by field against the back-office records. The same chatId identifies a conversation scope; it does not make the shipping date, address, and evidence status of an order consistent by itself. When chatId is a non-empty string, the system takes the conversation from the database and uses the last item in the messages array as the user question, ignoring the remaining messages. The caller must keep chatId unique and under 250 characters.

Hypothetical paper exercise sample. The source material reads: "Order A agreed shipping time 2025-03-10; buyer address Nanjing, Jiangsu; dispute handling form status: evidence materials pending submission." A draft sentence awaiting judgment reads: "Order A was shipped on 2025-03-10 and the evidence materials have been submitted." When checked, neither the shipping completion nor the evidence submission has a completion record in the source text. Both fields remain without supporting evidence.

The detail field controls whether intermediate values are returned. In non-stream mode the complete result is held in responseData. In stream mode, intermediate values are distinguished through event. The source parameter with value api returns conversations created through the API and does not return page-based conversations. Retrieval across libraries that use different vector models cannot be associated together; check the model identifier first, exclude non-matching libraries, and record what is actually observed.

Configuration and implementation checks

Configuration itemSettingBasis and comparison method
appIdHypothetical trial starting value: the store application IDDocumented priority is body.appId, then <apiKey>-<appId>, then the legacy associated appId; compare against the actual header value
chatIdHypothetical trial starting value: the conversation ID for Order ADocumented behavior takes the conversation from the database when non-empty; compare against the Order A back-office conversation identifier
detailHypothetical trial starting value: trueDocumented behavior returns intermediate values and the complete result; compare against whether responseData appears in the response
streamHypothetical trial starting value: falseDocumented behavior stores the result in responseData in non-stream mode; compare against the returned structure
sourceHypothetical trial starting value: apiDocumented behavior returns only API-created conversations; compare against the conversation source in the returned list
messagesHypothetical trial starting value: a single user content itemDocumented behavior uses the last message as the question when chatId is non-empty; compare against that round's question in the log

These starting values are chosen for the paper exercise because they exercise the documented branches: a non-empty chatId selects the database conversation, detail=true with stream=false exposes responseData, and source=api restricts the returned conversation set. Each is compared against the actual request or response value rather than treated as a default.

Three common errors

  1. Treating the appearance of "submitted" in a log as proof that evidence materials were submitted. The source text states only that evidence submission is pending. The log wording and the back-office status must be checked separately, and the missing completion record stays missing.
  2. Treating an identical chatId as proof that business records match. The chatId identifies a conversation scope. The shipping time, address, and evidence status for Order A must be compared field by field in the corresponding materials, and consistency is not inferred from a shared conversation.
  3. Treating responseData returned under detail=true as complete business retention. responseData is module run detail. Reconciliation and compliance retention are carried out separately by the full business solution.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input: the hypothetical source material text and the draft sentence "Order A was shipped on 2025-03-10 and the evidence materials have been submitted." Compare the "shipped" and "submitted" wording in the draft against the shipping-time agreement and the evidence status fields in the source. Satisfied condition: the source does not record a completion state, so the draft is judged unsupported and the evidence gap is preserved.
  2. Input: a request under the same chatId with detail=true and stream=false. Compare whether responseData appears in the response body and whether its module fields match the documented example structure. Satisfied condition: responseData appears with fields consistent with the documented structure; when it does not appear, record that the field was not returned.
  3. Input: a hypothetical retrieval input of an empty array []. Compare how the downstream design handles an empty result. Satisfied condition: the downstream treats it as an empty result and does not claim that a fictional rule necessarily returns empty. If cross-library checking is needed, verify the vector model identifier first, exclude non-matching libraries, and record the actual observation.

These checks test the named primary task: whether a drafted after-sales sentence is supported by the supplied source material, whether run detail is returned under the documented setting, and how an empty retrieval result is handled downstream. They do not test identity certification, report analysis, or any other task. No test, deployment, approval, or business action is claimed to have occurred.
