Brand-owned store operations: HTTP integrations for after-sales questions

Review HTTP integrations for after-sales questions in Brand-owned store operations. Check input mappings, source evidence and failure handling before use.

What the documents look like

Brand-owned stores are staffed and accounted for by the brand itself, so order fulfilment and after-sales answers rely on documents produced inside brand systems rather than on franchise contract administration. The working set for this task is the daily sales report, the shift roster, display photos and the inventory transfer note. POS, member CRM, ERP inventory and store inspections are the main data sources, with daily or weekly update rhythms. At the HTTP integration step, the practical work is to pass fields from those documents to an external order, inventory or after-sales system and to read back a processing status.

The daily or per-order rhythm describes when documents are produced. It does not by itself establish batch synchronisation, full synchronisation, real-time behaviour or transaction-triggered behaviour, and none of those mechanisms should be inferred from it.

A hypothetical paper exercise is used below. It is not a real record. Material one, an inventory transfer note extract: "Transfer note DB-0001, from store A, to store B, item SKU-001, quantity 2, prepared 2025-03-10, status is pending review." Material two, an after-sales ticket extract: "Ticket AS-0007, linked order SO-0009, customer requests return, requested 2025-03-11, handling status is pending verification." Draft sentence to be judged: "DB-0001 transfer is complete, AS-0007 return is approved, the customer can be notified of the refund."

Constraints at the HTTP integrations step

The HTTP module can be added repeatedly, is configured manually and executes when triggered, sending a request to the corresponding address. Params are path request parameters and are used mostly with GET requests. Body is the request body and is used mostly with POST and PUT requests. Headers carry special information. All three data groups can reference variables through {{}}, and the URL can also reference variables. Variables come from global variables, system variables and preceding node outputs. System variables include appId, chatId, responseChatItemId, variables, cTime and histories. chatId and responseChatItemId do not exist in test mode, so an empty value during debugging is a runtime difference rather than a business fault.

Return-value configuration decides how the interface response is parsed, using JSON path extraction. When the output type is set to string, the value of the corresponding key is converted to a json string. The chat interface uses APIKey authentication, and when calling chat/completions the recommended practice is to pass body.appId in the request body. Passed fields such as model and temperature have no effect because the orchestration decides them. With detail=true, intermediate values are available in responseData, but the actual consumed Token value is not returned.

An interactive node response returns interactive as a display configuration containing only type and params; internal runtime fields such as entryNodeIds, memoryEdges, nodeOutputs and nodeResponseId are not returned. Form input requires serialising an object into a string as the messages value and keeping chatId consistent. Retrieval and forms collect values only; business verification, approval, database writes and external synchronisation each require their own downstream implementation.

Configuration and implementation checks

The table lists only settings described in the official material or implementation checks for this exercise. The starting values are assumptions for this paper exercise, not official defaults.

Configuration itemAssumed starting value for this exerciseReason and comparison object
Request address and methodFill in from the external interface document; the address may reference variablesCompare word by word with the external interface contract and confirm the method matches
Params and HeadersAuthentication credentials injected through secure configuration; no plaintext in the sampleCompare with the header fields required by the interface document
BodyUsed only under the corresponding request type; check the JSON structureCompare field names and types with the external interface contract
Variable referencesCheck global variables, system variables and preceding node outputs one by oneCompare with the actual passed values and confirm each reference resolves
Return-value parsingConfigure the key by JSON path, output type set to stringCompare with the response example structure and confirm the path matches

Three common errors

  1. Writing a pending-review status as completed. Material one gives the status "pending review", while the draft sentence says the transfer is complete. The comparison is between the same status field of the same document, and the two values are mutually exclusive, so the draft sentence contradicts the material.
  2. Writing a pending-verification status as approved. Material two gives the handling status "pending verification", while the draft sentence says the return is approved. The comparison is between the same field of the same ticket, and the two values are mutually exclusive, so the draft sentence contradicts the material.
  3. Treating a collected form value as authorised execution. The draft sentence moves from a form or retrieval result directly to notifying the customer of a refund. Written evidence of refund approval and of external synchronisation is absent, so the conclusion is unsupported.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the text of material one and the first part of the draft sentence. Compare the transfer note status field "pending review" with "complete". The observable result is that the two values are mutually exclusive, so that part of the draft sentence does not hold.
  2. Input the text of material two and the middle part of the draft sentence. Compare the ticket handling status "pending verification" with "approved". The observable result is that the two values are mutually exclusive, so that part of the draft sentence does not hold.
  3. Input the final part of the draft sentence, "the customer can be notified of the refund". Compare whether written evidence of refund approval and external synchronisation exists. The observable result is that the evidence is missing, so the conclusion remains pending verification. If a paper input of [] is used to check the downstream design, only the empty-result handling logic can be confirmed; it cannot be claimed that a particular rule retrieval necessarily returns an empty result. Libraries built on different vector models cannot be associated together; check identifiers first, exclude those that do not match, and record the actual observation without inferring missed recall or redundancy from it.
