Fresh-food concession counters: HTTP integrations for after-sales questions

Review HTTP integrations for after-sales questions in Fresh-food concession counters. Check inputs, failure paths and source evidence before use.

What the documents look like

A fresh-food concession counter in a hypermarket is usually run by a supplier working on site and sharing revenue by sales. Order fulfilment and after-sales questions therefore involve three parties at once: the store's fresh-food department, the concession supplier, and the store manager. The documents that must be reconciled are the concession contract, daily sales reports, loss sheets, and food purchase inspection records. Their sources are the POS system, supplier delivery notes, food-safety ledgers, and store stock counts.

Weighing-based sales, loss allocation, and purchase-voucher inspection are the time-consuming steps. Mistakes carry food-safety penalties, gross-margin disputes, and customer claims. These materials update daily or per batch. The HTTP integration step carries the request and response between external systems and these documents, so each field sent or received has to be traceable back to a document.

Constraints at the HTTP integrations step

The HTTP module sends a request to the configured address. Params carry path parameters, Body carries the request body, and Headers carry request headers; all three can reference variables with double curly braces. Variables come from global variables, system variables, and upstream node outputs, and the URL can also reference variables. A return-value setting describes how to parse the response; values are extracted with JSON path, and when the output type is string the corresponding value is converted to a JSON string.

The chat interface uses APIKey authentication. When calling chat/completions, passing body.appId in the request body is recommended; the combination of Authorization: Bearer with apiKey and appId is also supported. The model, temperature, and similar fields passed in are not effective, because these are decided by the orchestration. chatId and responseChatItemId do not exist in test mode, so empty values during debugging are expected. Retrieval and similarity scores do not constitute permission or entity filters, and retrieval itself is not authorization.

Hypothetical exercise sample: a store fresh-food department receives a written document whose text reads: "The supplier at this concession counter shares revenue at the agreed proportion of the daily sales report amount for the period 1 March 2025 to 31 March 2025; loss sheets must be signed and confirmed by the store manager before being included in the allocation." The handover request to be judged is: "Please push the loss sheet amount for 10 March through the HTTP interface to the supplier system and confirm that the after-sales deduction has been executed." In this request, the signature status of the loss sheet, the authorization scope of the push, and the execution of the after-sales deduction are not stated in the source text. Treat the source text and the request as the reconciliation input, and judge item by item which fields have support and which remain to be verified.

Configuration and implementation checks

The table below is tied to this page's sample and lists only settings documented in the official material or implementation checks. Where a value is needed, it is a hypothetical starting point for this exercise, with the reason for choosing it and the comparison object.

Configuration itemHypothetical starting point for this exerciseComparison method and object
Request addressUse the address given in the external interface document; the address may reference variablesCompare character by character with the interface document provided by the supplier system
Request methodChoose according to the external interface document; the example service distinguishes post, delete, put, getCompare with the method declared in the document; record any mismatch
Headers authenticationAuthorization uses Bearer plus a credential, and the credential is injected by security configurationCompare with the key-usage specification; do not write it into a public sample
Body structureUsed only under the corresponding request type; fields match the external interface contractCompare with the contract field list; record a missing field as a gap
Variable referenceReference global variables, system variables, or upstream node outputsCheck the actual passed value item by item; record empty and undefined separately
Return-value extractionConfigure the key by JSON path; choose string as output type when neededCompare with the response example path by path; record a path that cannot be matched as unsupported

Three common errors

  1. Treating an empty value in debug mode as a business failure. The input is a request sent in test mode; the comparison object is the documented statement that chatId and responseChatItemId do not exist in test mode; the observable result is that these two fields are empty. Concluding from this that the supplier-system integration has failed is a misjudgement.
  2. Treating retrieval or a similarity score as authorization or an entity filter. The input is a retrieval result carrying a similarity score; the comparison object is the statement that retrieval does not perform permission judgement; the observable result is that the score level has no correspondence with whether the record belongs to this store. Concluding from this that unrelated business has been excluded is an overreach.
  3. Treating material awaiting review or unsigned material as already executed. The input is the loss sheet and the push request in the sample; the comparison object is that the source text states only that signing and confirmation precede inclusion in the allocation; the observable result is that neither the signature status nor the push authorization is stated. Concluding from this that the after-sales deduction has been executed treats an unsupported item as an established fact.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the sample source text and the request "Please push the loss sheet amount for 10 March through the HTTP interface to the supplier system and confirm that the after-sales deduction has been executed." Compare the revenue-share period and signature requirement stated in the source text with the push and deduction claimed by the request. The observable result is that neither the push authorization nor the deduction execution has support, and the evidence gap must be recorded.
  2. Input a request constructed according to the external interface document. Compare its method, Headers authentication, and Body fields with the document declaration. The observable result is that when fields match, the next reconciliation step can proceed; when a field is missing, it is retained as unsupported.
  3. Input a return-value extraction configuration. Compare the configured JSON path with the corresponding path in the response example. The observable result is that a matched path yields the expected value; a path that cannot be matched is recorded as an actual observation, without inferring a deterministic cause of failure.
