What the documents look like
Cross-border independent-site payment risk control centres on card-network disputes and receiving accounts. Order fulfilment and after-sales question handling therefore work across a funding evidence chain that sits outside parcel status alone. The main materials come from Stripe or PayPal backends, Shopify orders, carrier proof of delivery, and customer service email. Everyday documents include payment chargeback notices, fraudulent order lists, invoices, and logistics signature records. These materials update daily and per order. Mistakes bring chargeback losses, account freezes, and interrupted advertising.
Within this setting, conversation logs and audit work covers retaining each customer service turn's input, run detail, and returned fields so later reconciliation and evidence preparation can check them. The existence of a log shows that a record is available. It does not show that a business action has been completed.
Constraints at the conversation logs step
Conversation identity needs chatId to check the target conversation against business records. Sessions created through different entry points must not be counted together. When retrieving a conversation list, source=api returns only conversations created through the API, and page conversations are not included. When run detail is needed, detail is set according to the official contract; non-streaming results are held in responseData, and streaming results are distinguished through event. Business data that is not returned cannot be assumed to be fully retained. Reconciliation, retention, and compliance requirements are carried out separately by a complete business plan.
Hypothetical drill sample: A risk control specialist at an independent site prepares chargeback evidence for one order on 10 March 2026. The source text available for checking reads as follows. The payment chargeback notice states a disputed amount of 180 USD, a dispute reason of "goods not received", and a response deadline of 20 March 2026. The carrier signature record states that the order parcel was signed for by the recipient on 18 February 2026. The customer service email states that the buyer asked about logistics on 25 February 2026. Draft sentence to be judged: "The order has been signed for, the chargeback dispute does not hold, and the evidence can be submitted to close the case." This sentence treats the fact of signature as the dispute conclusion, and the closing action has no authorization basis. It is judged unsupported and requires the dispute handling rule and authorization record to be added.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration item | Relevant setting or check on this page | Correspondence with the sample |
|---|---|---|
| Conversation identity | Pass chatId when calling the chat interface, and check the target conversation | Confirm the order conversation belongs to the same chatId |
| Run detail | Set detail as needed, and inspect node responses in responseData | Check whether this conversation turn retained run detail |
| Conversation source | When retrieving the conversation list, source=api returns API conversations only | Distinguish whether the conversation was created through the API or the page |
| Response message ID | When responseChatItemId is passed, ensure it is unique under the current chatId | Locate a single response by conversation |
| Feedback field | updateUserFeedback uses userGoodFeedback or userBadFeedback | Record the customer service feedback state on an answer |
| Feedback reading | Set loadCustomFeedbacks as needed when retrieving the conversation list | Check whether feedback is returned with the list |
The rows above are fields or check actions stated in the documentation. They do not involve internal database implementation, and no default numeric value is specified.
Three common errors
- Treating a signature record as the chargeback dispute conclusion. The input is the signature date and the dispute reason, the comparison object is the dispute handling rule, and the observable result is whether the draft sentence exceeds what the materials support. In the sample, the signature shows logistics status only and cannot yield the conclusion that the dispute does not hold.
- Combining conversations from different sources in one count. The input is the conversation list with source=api, the comparison object is page conversations, and the observable result is whether the list contains records from non-API sources. In the sample, counting page conversations would distort the conversation identity check.
- Treating log retention as completed compliance audit. The input is the node responses in responseData, the comparison object is the retention and reconciliation scope required by the business plan, and the observable result is whether missing fields are recorded as gaps. In the sample, the run detail does not cover dispute handling authorization, so audit completion cannot be concluded from it.
How to verify the setup
- Against the sample source text, input a request with chatId and detail=true, and compare whether the returned responseData contains the node response for this turn. The observable result is whether an element with the corresponding moduleType appears in the response. The expectation is that this conversation turn can be located; when it does not appear, record a gap.
- Against the draft sentence "The order has been signed for, the chargeback dispute does not hold, and the evidence can be submitted to close the case", input the signature record and the dispute handling rule, and compare whether a rule supports the step from the signature fact to the dispute conclusion. The observable result is whether the sentence is judged unsupported. The expectation is a judgment of unsupported; no claim is made that evidence was submitted or that the case was closed.
- Against the conversation source, input a retrieval request with source=api, and compare the returned list with page conversation records. The observable result is whether the list contains API conversations only. The expectation is API conversations only; when other sources are mixed in, record it as pending verification without inferring a cause.
This page addresses one scope only: cross-border independent-site payment risk control, order fulfilment and after-sales question handling, and conversation logs and audit. The materials, operations, and requests in an operational handover carry an authorization state that retrieval or a form does not itself grant.
