Cross-border resale returns: conversation logs for after-sales questions

Review conversation logs for after-sales questions in Cross-border resale returns. Check input mappings, source evidence and failure handling before use.

What the documents look like

Cross-border return refurbishment and resale handles reverse logistics and item condition. This differs from overseas-warehouse inbound replenishment, which moves stock toward a warehouse rather than assessing returned goods. The daily materials are return inspection sheets, refurbishment records, scrap forms, and relisting lists. Data arrives from overseas-warehouse WMS, TikTok return centers, Amazon return reports, and item inspection photos, updated daily and per batch.

During after-sales answers, refund progress, inspection grade, refurbishment arrangements, and scrap-or-resell decisions sit in separate sources. A conversation log aligns a customer question with these business records under the same session so that an inquiry, a pending review, and an executed action can be told apart. The conversation interface identifies a session by chatId and a single exchange within that session by dataId. When a non-empty chatId is passed, the interface reads the session from the FastGPT database, uses the last item in the messages array as the user question, and ignores the remaining messages.

A hypothetical paper exercise illustrates the boundary. A cross-border seller's after-sales supervisor receives a customer message: "The return inspection sheet shows grade B, the refurbishment record has registered a packaging change, the relisting list does not include it yet; please confirm whether a refund is possible." A proposed reply sentence reads: "The return has passed inspection, and the refund will be returned by the original route." The source text available for comparison states: return inspection sheet records "grade B, pending review"; refurbishment record records "packaging change, registered 2026-03-10"; relisting list for that day is empty. This sample checks whether the proposed sentence exceeds the state recorded in the materials. No refund, approval, or business action is claimed to have occurred.

Constraints at the conversation logs step

The conversation interface uses chatId as the session identifier, with a documented length under 250 characters, and dataId as the identifier of one exchange under that session. When chatId is a non-empty string, the interface takes the session from the FastGPT database and treats the last content in the messages array as the user question; the other messages are ignored. The caller must keep chatId unique.

To obtain intermediate values, set detail=true. In non-stream mode the result is stored in responseData; in stream mode it is distinguished through event values. Response values for different modules inside responseData may vary by version, so the current values should be inspected first. The documented event values include answer, chatTitle, fastAnswer, toolCall, toolParams, toolResponse, flowNodeStatus, flowResponses, updateVariables, interactive, and error. A log existing only shows that a session record was produced; reconciliation, retention, and compliance requirements are handled by the complete business solution separately.

The model, temperature, and similar parameters passed in do not take effect; these fields are determined by the orchestration and do not change with API parameters. Actual token consumption is not returned; if needed, set detail=true and compute the tokens values inside responseData manually. When authProxy is used to proxy a team member identity, the team owner must have enabled authProxy when creating or editing that key, and the proxied identity still needs permission on the target application and session.

Configuration and implementation checks

Check itemDocumented contentImplementation check on this page
Session identifierchatId is a session ID under an application, length under 250Check that the target conversation's chatId matches the business record

Variable substitutionThe variables object replaces [key] in module input fieldsCheck whether variables are passed according to business fields

A hypothetical starting value: set detail to true to obtain responseData, because module run details need to be checked, compared against the result of detail=false, which returns only choices. This is a paper starting value for this exercise, not an official default.

Three common errors

  1. Treating the same chatId as meaning the business records are aligned. Sessions from different entry points may share an identifier; dataId and the target exchange still need to be checked.
  2. Treating the existence of a log as meaning compliance auditing is complete. Log retention, reconciliation, and compliance requirements are handled by the complete business solution separately.
  3. Treating "has passed inspection" in the proposed sentence as the state recorded in the materials. The source text reads "grade B, pending review," and that wording is not supported.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the chatId and dataId from the hypothetical sample, and compare whether the obj and value in the returned records match the user question involved in the proposed sentence. The locating condition is met only when the returned content corresponds to the sample question; if it does not match, record the gap.
  2. Input a request with detail=true, and compare whether the run details of the corresponding module exist in responseData. The intermediate-value condition is met only when a checkable module field exists; if it does not exist, record that it was not returned.
  3. Compare the proposed sentence "The return has passed inspection, and the refund will be returned by the original route" with the source text "grade B, pending review." The support condition is met only when the proposed wording matches the state recorded in the materials. When the materials record only "pending review," the sentence is not supported, and whether the refund is executed and whether it is returned by the original route both remain to be verified.
