What the documents look like
On-demand retail fulfillment processes online orders by the minute, which separates it from periodic stocktaking and loss prevention. The working materials for this category are instant orders, picking lists, out-of-stock reports, and delivery exception forms. These documents update at a minute-level frequency, once per order. Copy drafting reads the product name, specification, stock status, and substitution result recorded in those materials, then produces a product description or a short marketing line.
The materials do not state promotion periods, compensation conditions, or brand authorization. Those fields stay unknown, and the model cannot supply them. A draft sentence that introduces a date or condition absent from the source material is unsupported, even when the sentence reads naturally.
Constraints at the multi-turn prompts step
Multi-turn dialogue carries earlier material fragments into later requests. The memory turns setting controls how many prior chat rounds the AI may reference; a larger value brings in more content and can raise consumption and slow the response. Short follow-up questions are common in substitution handling, so the actual context carried forward needs checking, and a new session must be distinguished from a continued session. Question optimization applies to continuous knowledge-base dialogue, where coreference removal and question expansion need verification rather than assumption.
Reply format is chosen according to what the downstream step consumes. Selecting json_schema requires filling in the corresponding format requirement and validating the returned structure. Multimodal recognition depends on the model itself; when the configuration dialog shows that the model does not support multimodal recognition, a model with the required input capability is needed instead.
Hypothetical paper test case: the source material reads "Store A items on sale today: 500 ml purified water, stock 12 bottles; same-specification substitute 550 ml purified water, stock 8 bottles. Out-of-stock report BX-001 records 500 ml purified water short by 2 bottles." The draft sentence to be judged is "This store has sufficient stock of 500 ml purified water and can deliver immediately." That sentence conflicts with the recorded shortage of 2 bottles for the same subject, object, and field.
Configuration and implementation checks
The table below lists documented settings or implementation checks tied to this feature and the primary task. The values are hypothetical starting points for this paper comparison, not official defaults. Each is compared against the actual material value.
| Configuration item | Hypothetical starting value | Reason and comparison method |
|---|---|---|
| AI model | Select a model supporting the required context length | Compare against the material's turn count and reply-length needs; check the maximum context shown in the dialog |
| Memory turns | Set to 3 turns for this exercise | Compare against the rounds of shortage reports and substitution follow-ups in the sample; observe whether carried context covers the needed material |
| Reply limit | Opened and set to a medium length | Compare against the target length of the draft sentence; check for early truncation |
| Temperature | Set low for this exercise | The copy involves stock status and must match material facts; a lower value reduces divergence |
| Reply format | Left at default for this exercise | The sample has no fixed-structure downstream need; compare against downstream node requirements before choosing json_schema |
| Multimodal recognition | Off for this exercise | The sample material is text; compare against material type to confirm it is unnecessary |
Three common errors
- Writing a promotion period into the draft sentence when the material does not state one. The check inputs the source material and the draft sentence, then compares whether the draft contains a date or condition absent from the material. A date or condition with no source is unsupported expansion.
- Treating the shortage quantity in the out-of-stock report as the same field as on-sale stock. The check inputs report BX-001 and the on-sale stock record, then compares whether subject, object, and status match. When they do not match, the two cannot be merged into one statement.
- Treating a similarity score as a permission or entity filter. The check inputs the returned score and the target material identifier, then compares whether the score was used to exclude unauthorized records. Retrieval is not authorization, and a relevance score is not a category, entity, or permission filter.
How to verify the setup
- Input the source material above and the draft sentence "This store has sufficient stock of 500 ml purified water and can deliver immediately." Compare the draft against the recorded shortage of 2 bottles for the same subject, object, and field. If the draft does not reflect the shortage, it is judged unsupported. No test has been run; this describes the comparison to perform.
- Input consecutive follow-up questions under the same chatId, and compare the context turns actually carried against the memory turns setting. If the carried turns exceed the setting or omit the out-of-stock report, record the difference. Whether the omission occurs remains unknown until observed.
- Input an empty-result case, using a clearly labelled paper input of [] to check how the downstream node handles an empty result. If the downstream node still generates product copy without indicating that no material was found, record the gap. This does not claim that any retrieval rule returns []; the empty input is a paper exercise only.
These checks test the named primary task of copy drafting against supplied source wording and its limitations. They do not extend into identity certification, report analysis, or authorization approval. A pending request is not approval, and an offered option is not execution.
