Tmall flagship operations: multi-turn prompts for copy drafting

Review multi-turn prompts for copy drafting in Tmall flagship operations. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

Tmall flagship store daily operations center on the product publishing page, the brand authorization letter, the delivery commitment record, and after-sales tickets. Data sources named in the brief include the Tmall merchant backend, the Tmall rules center, ERP order tables, and customer service chat records. Compared with JD POP stores, the flagship format places more weight on brand authorization, flagship identity, and Tmall points compensation rules. Product and marketing copy that touches brand ownership, authorization scope, or compensation rules therefore has to correspond to the authorization letter and the rule records. Update frequency is daily and per order, so drafting happens repeatedly against the same set of materials.

Inputs for a drafting round typically include existing fields on the product publishing page, the subject and authorization period recorded in the authorization letter, the timing commitment in the delivery commitment record, and the disputed points reflected in after-sales tickets. Multi-turn prompts carry the confirmed material scope from one round into the next, so each round's output can be cited directly by the following round. Promotional wording that the materials do not cover is material awaiting verification and is not filled in by the model.

A hypothetical drill sample: a flagship product publishing page draft states that the product is supplied directly by the brand owner and that delivery timing follows the shop's public notice. The brand authorization letter records an authorization subject, an authorization period ending on a stated date, and an authorization scope covering that brand's product series. The delivery commitment record states that the product is committed to ship within 48 hours after buyer payment. One draft sentence awaiting judgment reads: "This product is sold directly by the brand owner and ships within 24 hours after payment." Comparison against the three materials shows the direct-sale wording does not appear in the authorization letter, and 24 hours conflicts with the 48 hours in the delivery commitment record. The sentence is unsupported and inconsistent with the record, and returns for revision.

Constraints at the multi-turn prompts step

The drafting task needs the material scope, the answering task, and the treatment of missing evidence stated first. For history, check the context actually carried in and distinguish a new session from a continued session. For question optimization, knowledge-base continuous dialogue requires checking reference resolution and question expansion; whether short questions apply depends on the actual materials. For model and length, check the model's supported context and reply settings, and test long documents combined with follow-up questions. For reply format, choose according to downstream handling; when json_schema is selected, fill in the corresponding format requirements and verify the returned structure.

Thinking configuration is separate from reference token limits: the budget entries in the thinking tables are thinking budgets. A relevance score in retrieval results is a similarity value and does not act as a category, entity, or permission filter. Retrieval is not authorization. Configuration values below are hypothetical starting points for this drill, not official defaults. Where a value is needed, the reason for choosing it and the comparison method are stated.

Configuration and implementation checks

Configuration itemHypothetical drill starting pointReason and comparison method
AI modelA model whose displayed maximum context covers the drafting materialsCompare the maximum context and tool-calling capability shown for the model against the length of the copy materials
Memory turnsA small number of history turns retainedThe drafting task cites the material scope confirmed in the previous round; compare output against a session with no retained history
Reply capAdjusted to the draft length neededA cap set too low may truncate the copy; compare against the full draft length
TemperatureA lower valueCopy must stay consistent with materials; compare stability against a higher value
Reply formatPlain text; json_schema when downstream reads a fixed structureChoose by downstream handling; when json_schema is selected, fill in format requirements and check the returned structure
Multimodal recognitionEnabled when materials contain images and the model supports image recognitionCompare against text-only input when the materials include product images

Three common errors

  1. Treating the draft phrase "sold directly by the brand owner" as supported by the authorization letter. The letter records the authorization subject, period, and scope, and does not contain the direct-sale wording. Compare the draft wording against the letter text; where no corresponding wording exists, record it as unsupported.
  2. Writing 24-hour delivery into the copy without comparing it to the delivery commitment record. The record states 48 hours. The two are different values for the same field and are inconsistent. Compare the timing figure character by character against the record text.
  3. Using a pending authorization renewal as an effective authorization. The renewal application is pending review and does not constitute an extension of the authorization. Check the authorization period field and the renewal status; the part not yet effective remains an evidence gap.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the three material texts and the draft sentence from the hypothetical drill sample above. Compare the brand wording in the draft sentence against the authorization letter text. The condition is met when the output marks that wording as unsupported and does not rewrite it as a definite conclusion.
  2. Input the same set of materials. Compare the 24 hours in the draft sentence against the 48 hours in the delivery commitment record. The condition is met when the output identifies the inconsistency and preserves the original record value.
  3. Input a hypothetical material whose authorization period has expired with renewal pending review, together with a draft sentence citing that authorization. Compare the authorization period field against the renewal status. The condition is met when the output marks the authorization as awaiting verification and does not state it as effective. If the system returns an error or automatically rewrites a business fact, the condition is not met, and the observed result is recorded.
