What the documents look like
Promotion registration work in this category turns on price, inventory and campaign rhythm rather than advertising-wording review. The materials are campaign registration forms, promotional price approval sheets, inventory lock tables and campaign review tables. A registration form records the sessions and the products entered. An approval sheet records the proposed selling price and the approval status. A lock table records the quantity reserved for the campaign. A review table records transaction and cost outcomes. These materials update weekly or per campaign, and the same product can appear in approval sheets for different sessions, which means the same field name carries different values across periods.
When a product or marketing sentence is drafted, every price, discount condition, inventory state and campaign window in that sentence must correspond item by item to a field in these materials. A condition that the materials do not state is an evidence gap, and the draft sentence cannot fill that gap on its own.
Constraints at the citation tracing step
Citation tracing requires that each proposed sentence can be pointed back to a specific field of a specific material. The knowledge base search node outputs a citation array, and the length of that array may be zero; an empty array only shows that this branch of the chain completed, and it does not show that the materials were checked. After the retrieval result is handed to the answering step, the answer and the cited original text still need to be compared one by one.
Semantic recall and relevance scores do not carry permission or entity isolation functions. Linking knowledge bases requires that the selected knowledge bases use the same vector model, and that requirement applies only to knowledge base association; it does not extend into a claim that external systems must also use the same model. Hybrid retrieval merges multiple result paths through RRF, which is a retrieval process rather than a switch that can be turned on. Image retrieval requires image input and the corresponding model capability, and reranking requires a rerank model enabled according to settings. The optional paths listed in the documentation do not mean that every request executes all of them.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample
The following content is fictional for this paper exercise and does not refer to any real entity or real record.
Material text one (excerpt from a promotional price approval sheet): "Document number PA-2025-0417-02; product: household folding storage box 60L; campaign session: 1 May 2025 to 5 May 2025; declared promotional price: 39 yuan per unit; approval status is pending review."
Material text two (excerpt from an inventory lock table): "Product: household folding storage box 60L; locked quantity: 800 units; lock period: 1 May 2025 to 5 May 2025; lock status: locked."
Material text three (excerpt from a campaign registration form): "Product: household folding storage box 60L; registered session: 1 May 2025 to 5 May 2025; registration status is submitted."
Draft sentence to be assessed: "The household folding storage box 60L has passed approval and will join the platform campaign from 1 May to 5 May at 39 yuan per unit, with 800 units in stock, while supplies last."
Configuration and implementation checks
The table below covers only officially documented settings or implementation check items relevant to this page's task and the hypothetical sample.
| Configuration or check item | Starting point for this exercise | Reason for the choice and comparison method |
|---|---|---|
| Linked knowledge base | Select the single knowledge base that already contains the three materials above | Association requires the same vector model; check the identifier first and exclude knowledge bases that do not match |
| Search mode | Hybrid retrieval | The materials contain document numbers and product names, so semantic and keyword hits can both apply |
| Citation limit | 4000 tokens as the starting point for this exercise | This value is only an exercise starting point; compare it against the combined length of the three sample materials and adjust |
| Minimum relevance | 0.3 as the starting point for this exercise | This value is only an exercise starting point; compare it against the score distribution of returned content |
| Citation handoff | Pass the citation array to the answering step | Compare each answer sentence against the cited original text; treat an empty array as a zero-length handoff |
| Response format | Keep default | This task has no fixed-structure reading requirement |
Three common errors
- Treating "approval status is pending review" as approved. The input is the approval status field in material text one; the comparison object is "has passed approval" in the draft sentence; the observable result is that the two values differ, and that part of the draft sentence is unsupported.
- Treating the locked quantity as a sellable quantity. The input is the locked quantity of 800 units in material text two; the comparison object is "800 units in stock, while supplies last" in the draft sentence; the observable result is that the material states only a locked quantity and a lock status, and states no sellable quantity and no sell-out rule.
- Treating the registration status as a confirmed campaign. The input is the registration status "submitted" in material text three; the comparison object is "will join the platform campaign" in the draft sentence; the observable result is that submission and confirmation are different facts, and the material states no confirmation outcome.
How to verify the setup
- Input the approval status field from material text one and the approval wording of the draft sentence, compare the values of the same field on the same document, and observe that when "pending review" and "has passed approval" do not match, that sentence is judged unsupported and the evidence gap is retained.
- Input the locked quantity, lock period and lock status from material text two, compare them against the quantity and selling-condition wording of the draft sentence, and observe that when the material states no sellable quantity and no sell-out rule, that part is judged to require further verification.
- Input the registration status from material text three and the campaign participation wording of the draft sentence, compare the two facts of registration submission and campaign confirmation, and observe that when the material states only submitted, that sentence is judged unsupported. A paper input of an empty array can additionally be used to check the downstream handoff design, without inferring from it that a fictional retrieval rule necessarily returns an empty array.
