Multi-store management: context limits for copy drafting

Review context limits for copy drafting in Multi-store management. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

This page covers platform multi-store matrix management, specifically product and marketing copy drafting, and the context and token step inside that task. The working materials for this category come from platform merchant back offices, ERP channel prices, brand anti-counterfeiting systems, and distributor reports. The day-to-day documents are store authorization lists, price control tables, cross-territory complaint forms, and monthly sales reports. Copy drafting draws on these documents to extract the authorization scope, price range, and channel identity that a draft sentence may reference.

Two features of this category shape the drafting step. First, the same product can carry different authorization status across stores, so a price, channel name, or sales permission that appears in a draft must be checked line by line against the authorization list and the price control table. Second, matrix management cares about cross-store authorization and price order rather than single-store traffic efficiency, so a draft that reads well can still contradict the price order. Materials update daily and monthly; this page does not derive batch synchronization, full synchronization, or real-time triggers from that cadence.

Constraints at the context limits step

The context and token step decides how much authorization and price information a single drafting request can reference. The model context is checked against the actual model capability shown in the configuration dialog, and the reply limit is not the full context window. The knowledge base reference limit is controlled by tokens, so a long authorization passage can be truncated and the draft can lose the authorization scope or a price condition. Comparing the same drafting question under empty history and with history isolates context interference. When a fixed reply format carries the draft, field completeness and parse success must be verified rather than text length alone. Retrieval results carry no authorization or entity isolation duty; semantic recall and relevance scores cannot exclude unauthorized stores or unauthorized records.

Hypothetical paper exercise sample. A brand channel operator prepares the following source text before drafting a product description for Store A. The store authorization list states: "Store A is an authorized dealer store in the East China region, authorization valid until 31 December 2025, authorized product scope is the X series." The price control table states: "X series suggested retail price 299 yuan, minimum promotional price 259 yuan, advance filing required during campaign periods." The draft sentence to be judged is: "Store A is an authorized dealer store in the East China region, X series final price 249 yuan, lowest across all channels." The subject needed for judgment is Store A, the object is the X series, the status is within the authorization validity period, and the valid scope is East China authorized dealing. The 249 yuan in the draft sentence is below the 259 yuan minimum promotional price in the price control table, and "lowest across all channels" is not stated in the materials.

Configuration and implementation checks

Configuration itemHypothetical starting point for this pageReason and comparison method
AI modelSelect a model whose dialog entry shows the needed context length and tool callingCompare the model's displayed maximum context with the total length of the drafting materials; split or trim when materials exceed it
Reply limitEnabled, set to a length that can hold authorization scope, price conditions, and risk notesCompare whether the generated draft fully contains the authorization validity date and price range from the materials; raise it when truncation appears
TemperatureSet lowThe draft must match the authorization list and price control table item by item; a low value reduces divergence
Reference limitSet by token, covering a single authorization passage and the key rows of the price tableCompare whether the referenced content includes the authorization scope and the minimum promotional price; raise the limit when content is trimmed
Reply formatChoose json_schema with field requirements when downstream parsing is neededVerify that returned fields are complete; when parsing fails, check the format requirements against model capability
Question optimizationDecide by whether the drafting question contains references or omissionsCompare whether retrieved authorization and price fragments are more complete with it on; weigh the added latency

The thinking budget in thinking configuration is a reasoning budget and cannot be reused as the reference token limit. RRF is the fusion step for mixed retrieval results and is not a standalone switch.

Three common errors

  1. Treating the price in the draft sentence as verified fact. In the hypothetical sample the draft says "final price 249 yuan," while the price control table states a minimum promotional price of 259 yuan. The input is the draft sentence and the price control table text; compare the price field for the same product and the same period. A value of 249 yuan against 259 yuan in the same field is a mutually exclusive pair, so the draft is judged to conflict with the materials.
  2. Treating "lowest across all channels" as supported by the materials. The hypothetical sample states only Store A authorization and the X series price range, with no all-channel comparison data. The input is the draft sentence plus the authorization list and price control table text; compare whether an all-channel price comparison field exists. When the materials do not state it, the phrase is judged unsupported and needs added evidence or removal.
  3. Treating a retrieval relevance score as an authorization filter. The input is the relevance score returned by retrieval and the store authorization list; compare whether the score contains an authorization status field. A relevance score contains no authorization or entity isolation information, so it cannot exclude unauthorized store records; the authorization list must be checked separately.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the sample material text and the draft sentence, then compare the draft price field with the minimum promotional price field in the price control table. If the draft price is below the stated minimum promotional price, judge it as conflicting with the materials; if the materials do not state that price field, judge it as unsupported.
  2. Input the sample draft phrase "lowest across all channels" together with the authorization list and price control table text, then compare whether an all-channel price comparison field exists in the materials. If the materials do not state it, judge it unsupported and add evidence or revise the wording; if the materials state it and the values agree, judge it supported.
  3. Input the sample drafting question and retrieve it once under empty history and once with history, then compare whether the authorization scope and price fragments returned in the two runs agree. If the run with history returns a more complete authorization validity date or price condition, record the context difference; if both runs lack the authorization scope field, record it as a retrieval gap without claiming that an empty result always returns an empty array.
