What the documents look like
Receiving and putaway handles the first physical-and-book confirmation when goods enter the warehouse. The data comes from the WMS, ERP purchasing, supplier delivery notes and barcode scanning. The daily documents are the purchase arrival note, the receiving inspection sheet, the putaway task and the discrepancy report.
This page covers one task only: drafting product and marketing copy, and specifically the workflow routing around that drafting. The check is whether a proposed copy sentence is supported by the receiving and putaway materials. Enterprise identity certification and report analysis sit outside this page.
The material basis for copy drafting is the purchase arrival note, the receiving inspection sheet, the putaway task and the discrepancy report. These documents record arrival quantity, inspection conclusion, location assignment and discrepancy handling. They do not contain promotional wording. Workflow routing places the source material and the proposed sentence into one chain: a form input node collects the drafting information, and a user selection node decides which branch is taken.
Two facts about this category shape the task. First, the first book-and-physical confirmation happens here, so a copy sentence about quantity or acceptance must trace back to a specific document rather than to a general impression of the batch. Second, discrepancies are routine and are recorded as pending items, so a copy sentence that treats a pending discrepancy as a finished conclusion is not supported by the material even when the goods themselves arrived.
Constraints at the workflow routing step
When the form input node triggers, the conversation enters an interaction state, the workflow state is recorded, and the dialogue continues after the user completes the interaction. The node collects the required information the user submits and passes it to later nodes. When the user selection node triggers, the conversation likewise enters an interaction state and the workflow state is recorded. After the user makes a choice, the node evaluates that choice and executes the corresponding "yes" branch.
The routing constraint is that the collected drafting information must be passed explicitly to the later retrieval, judgment or interface nodes, and the output must be compared item by item against the input. Order writing, document backfill and external status synchronization require a separate business interface or a later process. The same-vector-model requirement for joint knowledge base association is limited to knowledge base association; it does not extend to business registration sites or other external systems. Semantic recall and relevance scores do not carry permission or entity isolation. Retrieval is not authorization.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample. The source material reads: "Purchase arrival note PC-2024-0312 states an arrival quantity of 120 units; receiving inspection sheet YS-2024-0312 records 118 units actually received; discrepancy report CY-2024-0312 notes a shortage of 2 units pending supplier confirmation." The proposed copy sentence to be judged is: "This batch arrived with 120 units, all inspected and accepted into stock." The comparison objects are the arrival quantity, the inspection conclusion and the discrepancy status. The question is whether the proposed sentence is supported by the material above. The answer is that it is not supported, because the material records a pending discrepancy rather than a completed acceptance of all units.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration item | Type | Hypothetical starting point for this exercise and reason |
|---|---|---|
| Form input node | Interaction node | Collects the proposed copy sentence and the corresponding material identifiers; passes them to later nodes after submission |
| User selection node | Interaction node | Uses the yes branch to separate "material supports" from "material needed" paths |
| Source material intake | Input handoff | Passes the arrival note, inspection sheet and discrepancy report text into the comparison node |
| Comparison output fields | Output handoff | Compares quantity, inspection conclusion and discrepancy status against the proposed sentence item by item |
| Knowledge base association | Retrieval setting | Joint association requires the same vector model; verify the identifier first and exclude non-matching libraries |
| External write | Downstream implementation | Order writing and document backfill require a separate business interface |
The starting points above are chosen for this exercise so that the routing chain can be described concretely. They are not official defaults. Each one is compared against the documented node behavior: the form input node collects submitted required information, the user selection node executes the yes branch after a choice, and external writes are handled by a separate interface.
Three common errors
- Treating a retrieval hit as authorization. The same-vector-model requirement for joint knowledge base association addresses association only. Semantic recall and relevance scores do not carry permission or entity isolation. Input: a retrieval request for the proposed sentence. Comparison: the returned entries against the material identifiers. Observable result: the condition is met when the returned entries fall within the target range the requester has access to; otherwise the gap is recorded.
- Treating a pending review as a negative finding. The material states only that 2 units are short and pending supplier confirmation. It does not state that inspection failed. Input: the discrepancy report text. Comparison: the value of the discrepancy status field. Observable result: the condition is met when the proposed sentence does not present a pending confirmation as either a confirmed failure or a confirmed acceptance.
- Treating existing node behavior as a configurable switch. The form input node enters an interaction state and records state when triggered. The documentation does not describe a submission count setting or an automatic judgment setting. Input: the node configuration screen. Comparison: the list of configurable fields. Observable result: the condition is met when only fields described in the documentation are configured.
How to verify the setup
- Verification one. Input the hypothetical sample material text and the proposed sentence "This batch arrived with 120 units, all inspected and accepted into stock." Compare the three fields — arrival quantity 120 units, actual receipt 118 units, shortage of 2 units pending confirmation — against the sentence. The condition is met when the sentence agrees with all three fields, or when it is marked as needing more material. A sentence stating "all inspected and accepted" while the discrepancy report records a pending item is judged unsupported.
- Verification two. Input the proposed sentence together with an empty-result handoff scenario, using the paper input [] to check the downstream design. Compare whether the downstream node has an explicit handoff path for empty input. The condition is met when the downstream design states where empty input goes. No claim is made that a fictional rule retrieval necessarily returns empty.
- Verification three. Input two knowledge base identifiers that use different vector models. Compare whether the two vector model identifiers match. The condition is met when matching identifiers allow joint association; when identifiers do not match, the non-matching library is excluded and the actual observation is recorded. Cross-model retrieval is not executed to compare missed recall.
Across all three checks, the comparison must use the same subject, the same period and the same field. A contradiction requires mutually exclusive values in the same field. A field that is not stated, or evidence that covers only a related stage, is recorded as unsupported or pending verification. A pending request is not an approval, an offered option is not execution, and an unsigned termination is not a completed termination. Missing evidence remains missing.
