Livestream sample inspections: multi-turn prompts for copy drafting

Review multi-turn prompts for copy drafting in Livestream sample inspections. Check sources, input boundaries, error handling and repeatable test evidence.

What the documents look like

Sample inspection for livestream selling happens before a broadcast. The decision is whether a product can be sold and whether it suits live demonstration. Working material comes from supplier files, testing-agency reports, platform negative lists and historical return rates, refreshed weekly or per item.

For product and marketing copy drafting, the input usually holds four document types: sample evaluation sheets, quality inspection reports, supplier qualification files and prohibited-item lists. Every promotional sentence in the draft needs a matching basis inside those four types. A quality inspection report covers a stated batch and stated test items; a sample evaluation sheet records the condition of the submitted sample. Neither substitutes for the other. A qualification file describes the standing of a business entity and does not state whether a specific product may claim a specific function.

Constraints at the multi-turn prompts step

Multi-turn conversation carries earlier material into later turns, so the model sees several document fragments at once while drafting copy. The prompt must state the material scope, the answering task and the handling of missing evidence. The model does not fill in business facts on its own.

History records need checking against the context actually carried in, distinguishing a new session from a continued session. Where continuous knowledge-base dialogue is required, check whether reference resolution and question expansion apply; a short question does not automatically need expansion. Model and length settings need checking against context and reply configuration, with long documents combined with follow-up questions. Reply format follows the downstream consumer; when json_schema is selected, the format requirement is filled in and the returned structure is verified. Retrieval similarity expresses textual relatedness only. It carries no permission or entity isolation, and retrieval does not constitute authorization.

Hypothetical drill sample: the source material reads "Sample evaluation sheet: submitted sample is Model A insulated cup, submission date 2 March, evaluation conclusion is appearance passed, seal integrity pending retest. Quality inspection report: report number QC-0302, covering batch B2024, tested item is material composition, conclusion is compliant. Supplier qualification: entity is a trading company, qualification within validity." The draft sentence under review is "Model A insulated cup has passed seal integrity and can be purchased with confidence." The sentence concerns seal integrity, the material records only a pending retest, and no pass conclusion is given. The sentence is unsupported and needs a seal integrity conclusion before it may enter copy.

Configuration and implementation checks

Configuration itemHypothetical trial starting pointComparison object and reason
AI modelSelect a model that supports long context and tool callsCompare the maximum context shown in the dialog with the combined length of the four document types
Memory turnsHypothetical starting point of keeping a small number of history turnsCompare against drafting from current-turn material only, observing whether unrelated older conclusions are carried in
Reply capHypothetical starting point sized to hold complete copyCompare with the actual copy length, observing whether output is cut short
TemperatureHypothetical starting point on the low sideCompare with a higher value, observing whether promotional sentences introduce wording outside the material
Reply formatDefault for ordinary drafting; json_schema when a fixed structure is neededAfter selection, fill in the format requirement and check the returned structure
Multimodal recognitionDecide whether to enable image recognition according to model capabilityCompare the capability shown in the dialog with the need to input sample photos and report screenshots

These values are hypothetical trial starting points and are not official defaults. The specific values for memory turns and reply cap are determined after viewing the actual adjustable range in the dialog.

Three common errors

  1. Treating a report's batch conclusion as a whole-model conclusion. Report QC-0302 covers batch B2024 only. If the draft sentence reads "the entire model line is compliant," the comparison object expands from batch to model line, the observed result is an enlarged conclusion scope, and the sentence is unsupported.
  2. Writing a pending-retest state as a passed state. The material records seal integrity as pending retest, the draft sentence writes "seal integrity passed," the same field takes mutually exclusive values, the observed result is a same-subject same-field contradiction, and the sentence is unsupported.
  3. Treating supplier qualification validity as a basis for a product claim. The qualification describes entity standing, the material states no seal integrity conclusion, and the draft sentence writes "can be purchased with confidence" on that basis. The observed result is evidence and conclusion sitting in different fields, and the sentence is pending verification.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the hypothetical source material above together with the draft sentence. Compare "seal integrity passed" in the draft against "seal integrity pending retest" in the material. Observe whether the same field holds mutually exclusive values. If it does, the sentence is unsupported and a seal integrity conclusion is required.
  2. Input report number QC-0302 and batch B2024. Compare the claimed scope in the draft sentence against the coverage scope of the report. Observe whether the scopes match. If the draft sentence expands to the model line, the claim exceeds the evidence scope.
  3. Input a retrieval result explicitly given as empty. Check whether the downstream design handles an empty result. Observe whether no promotional conclusion is produced. If a conclusion is still output, record the failure branch.

All three are paper checks and were not run. Actual observed values remain to be recorded after execution.
