Short-video affiliate sales: retrieval for copy drafting

Review retrieval for copy drafting in Short-video affiliate sales. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

Short-video affiliate sales depends on long-term content exposure and product-link conversion, not on live explanation. The working materials are short-video scripts, affiliate product lists, commission plans, and violation feedback. Updates arrive on a daily or weekly rhythm. For product and marketing copy drafting, the check is narrow: whether a proposed sentence can be matched to wording that already exists in a script, a product list, a commission plan, or violation feedback. Retrieval establishes a traceable correspondence between the sentence under review and those materials. The retrieved citation content does not confirm product qualification, commission settlement, or promotion permission.

Because scripts, lists, plans, and feedback carry different roles, a single retrieval pass can return several kinds of passage at once. The drafting check must keep them separate: a script line supports a descriptive claim, a product list entry supports an object identity, a commission plan supports a rate statement, and violation feedback supports a constraint statement. Mixing these roles inside one sentence is where unsupported wording tends to appear.

Constraints at the retrieval step

The knowledge base search node can associate one or more knowledge bases that use the same vector model. Bases whose vector model identifiers differ cannot be associated together. The correct action is to inspect the identifiers first and exclude non-matching bases; running a cross-model search to compare missed recalls is not the intended path.

Retrieval can run as semantic search, full-text search, or hybrid search. Hybrid search combines multiple result channels through RRF, a fusion step rather than a switch. Result reranking requires a rerank model and must be enabled according to settings. Image retrieval requires image input and matching model capability. These paths are not all executed on every request. The minimum relevance value takes effect only under semantic search or when result reranking is used; it is a filter threshold and does not perform permission or entity isolation. The citation limit is measured in tokens. The citation output is an array whose length can be 0, and the downstream chain still runs when nothing is retrieved.

Hypothetical paper exercise sample. The source material supplied for the check contains three sentences. Sentence one: "The product attached to this video is a portable folding water cup, product list number A-217, and the commission plan ratio follows the value shown in the Selected Alliance backend on the day of execution." Sentence two: "The promotional line in the third segment of the script is 'light and easy to carry, suitable for commuting'." Sentence three: "Violation feedback record: titles must not contain absolute wording." The draft sentence under review is: "The product is light and easy to carry, suitable for commuting, and the commission ratio is locked." The first two sentences support the wording about being light, easy to carry, and suitable for commuting. For commission, the material states only that the ratio follows the backend value shown on the day of execution; no locked status is recorded, so that clause is unsupported. The sample does not involve a real customer, company, or identity number.

Configuration and implementation checks

The table below lists documented settings or implementation checks relevant to this feature and this primary task, tied to the sample above. The values are starting points for this hypothetical exercise, used for comparison against another value, and are not official defaults.

Configuration itemHypothetical starting point for this exerciseReason and comparison method
Associated knowledge basesAssociate only the script base and the product list base that use the same vector modelInspect vector model identifiers first, compare against a base with a different identifier, and confirm which can be associated together
Search modeRun semantic search once, then hybrid search onceEnter the same draft sentence in each mode and compare whether the citation content covers the source material wording
Citation limitSet to 800 tokensTest content completeness with materials of different lengths, and compare against a 400-token result
Minimum relevanceSet to 0.4Label relevant and irrelevant samples first, then compare against 0.2 and 0.6 results to observe changes in irrelevant fragments
Question optimizationRun once separately for "the commission ratio is locked"Compare the original question with the optimized question and check whether the subject was altered
Result rerankingEnable once after hybrid searchWhere a rerank model is available, compare candidate ordering before and after enabling and observe score changes

Three common errors

  1. Reading "the commission plan ratio follows the Selected Alliance backend value shown on the day of execution" as "the commission ratio is locked." The subject and field are the same, but the values are mutually exclusive. The source states only that the ratio follows the day-of-execution display; locked status is unsupported.
  2. Treating the minimum relevance value as a permission or entity filter, on the assumption that raising the threshold excludes unrelated businesses or unauthorized records. The value takes effect only under semantic search or result reranking, is a filter threshold, and retrieval itself does not perform authorization judgment.
  3. Treating "violation feedback record: titles must not contain absolute wording" as a negative conclusion about the draft sentence. That record states a title requirement and makes no evaluation of "light and easy to carry." Whether the draft sentence violates a rule remains to be verified.

How to verify the setup

  1. Enter the hypothetical source material and the draft sentence "The product is light and easy to carry, suitable for commuting, and the commission ratio is locked" under semantic search, then compare the citation content. The condition is met when the citation content contains the first two source sentences and does not contain the locked wording. If the citation content is missing, record the gap and do not treat it as a negative finding.
  2. Run question optimization separately for "the commission ratio is locked" and compare the question before and after. The condition is met when the subject remains the commission ratio and no locked basis is added. If the subject is changed to another field, that is an optimization deviation and requires rechecking.
  3. Use an empty array as a paper input to check the downstream design, and observe whether the output chain runs. When the citation content length is 0, the chain should still run; this is the documented node behavior and does not mean that a search over fictional rules will necessarily return an empty result.
