What the documents look like
Cross-border platform settlement and foreign exchange work concerns the collection of funds from orders that have already been completed. Fraud chargebacks sit outside this scope. The working materials are platform settlement statements, exchange rate tables, service fee invoices, and receiving reconciliation sheets. These materials appear on a weekly or monthly rhythm.
Copy drafting for product and marketing text draws facts from these materials, such as the settlement period, the fee line items, and the date on which an exchange rate was taken. Statements about amounts and rates in drafted copy need to match the document for the corresponding period. The category description is a rough outline; the actual fields depend on the real documents.
Two features of this material shape the drafting task. First, a settlement statement covers one period, so any claim about a longer span reaches beyond what the statement records. Second, the rate table carries a specific valuation date, so a rate quoted in copy needs a matching date rather than a general figure.
Constraints at the context limits step
When drafting copy, check the model context against the actual model capability. The reply cap does not equal the full context window. The knowledge base reference limit is measured in tokens, so compare the length of a single passage and the question sample to see whether content has been trimmed. The same question produces different input under empty history and under history with prior turns, so compare the two to isolate the context difference. When a fixed reply format is used, verify that fields are complete and that parsing succeeds.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample: the source text reads, "The March 2025 platform settlement statement shows that Store A settled from March 1 to March 31 for an amount of 12,000 USD, a service fee of 240 USD, and a rate converted at the March 31 mid-rate of 7.10." The proposed copy sentence reads, "This store settles more than ten thousand dollars every month, and the fee rate is extremely low." The judgment points: the material records only the March single-period figure, records no other month, and records no comparison baseline for the fee level. "Every month" and "extremely low" are unsupported. A separate handover request reads, "Please confirm whether Store A's March settlement statement can serve as the basis for April copy." That request is a pending item and has not been approved.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration item | Hypothetical trial starting value for this page | Reason and comparison method |
|---|---|---|
| AI model | Select a model whose popup information shows the needed context length | Compare the maximum context shown in the model information against the combined length of the sample material and the question |
| Reply cap | Assume a starting value of 800 for this trial only | Compare against the length needed for the proposed copy sentence and its basis, then observe whether truncation occurs |
| Reference limit | Assume a starting value of 2000 tokens for this trial only | Compare against the length of a single material passage and observe whether the referenced content stays complete |
| Memory turns | Assume a starting value of 2 turns for this trial only | Compare against the empty-history input and observe whether unrelated history is drawn in |
| Reply format | Choose json_schema when fixed fields are required | Check that fields are complete and parsing succeeds, rather than checking text length alone |
| Minimum relevance | Assume a starting value of 0.5 for this trial only | Compare against semantic retrieval or rerank scores and observe whether low-relevance results are filtered |
These values are hypothetical trial starting points for this page and are not official defaults. Minimum relevance is a filtering threshold and does not perform permission or entity isolation.
Three common errors
- Treating the reply cap as the full context window. Input: the maximum context field and the reply cap field from the model information. Compare whether the two values are equal. Observable result: the two are mistakenly treated as the same quantity.
- Presenting a single-period figure as a long-term stable level. Input: the March single-period data in the hypothetical sample and the proposed sentence "settles more than ten thousand dollars every month." Compare the period covered by the material against the period claimed in the sentence. Observable result: the sentence extends beyond the material's scope.
- Treating a pending verification request as approved. Input: the handover request "please confirm whether it can serve as the basis for April copy." Compare the request status against any approval record. Observable result: no approval evidence exists.
How to verify the setup
- Input the hypothetical sample source text and the proposed copy sentence. Compare the amount, period, and fee wording in the sentence against the fields recorded in the material. The condition is met when the sentence restates only what the material records, and any part beyond that is marked as pending verification.
- Input the same question under two settings: empty history and 2 turns of history. Compare the two inputs. The condition is met when the extra content introduced by history is identified and the source of the difference is stated.
- Input a fixed format requirement and one model reply. Compare the reply fields against the required fields. The condition is met when fields are complete and parsing succeeds; when a field is missing, record the missing item.
Retrieval checks record only actual observations and do not guarantee a first-hit result or full recall. For empty-result handover, a clearly stated paper input of [] can be used to check the downstream design; this does not claim that a fictional rule search necessarily returns empty. Cross-model association is not possible; verify identifiers first and exclude those that do not match. Image retrieval requires a corresponding image input and model capability, and reranking requires a model enabled according to its settings.
