Creator sales campaigns: context limits for copy drafting

Review context limits for copy drafting in Creator sales campaigns. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

Creator-led sales campaigns are fulfilled by external creators, with brand business staff, MCN agencies and creator managers working from cooperation agreements, commission setting sheets, sample shipment sheets and livestream performance reports. Copy drafting for products and marketing therefore draws on two kinds of material at once. One kind records product facts, such as the category, specification and shipment status on a sample shipment sheet. The other kind records cooperation constraints, such as the applicable scope stated in a commission setting sheet or a creator cooperation agreement. When a promotional sentence goes beyond what those materials state, commission settlement disputes or damage to brand reputation can follow.

These materials are updated per campaign and per week. This page addresses only the context and token checks performed during copy drafting, and does not derive batch synchronization, real-time or transaction-triggered mechanisms from that update frequency.

Constraints at the context limits step

The maximum context of a model sets the length of content a single request can reference. The reply limit only caps answer length. These two values are distinct and cannot be treated as one. The knowledge base reference limit is controlled in tokens, so when a single material passage is long, referenced content may be trimmed, and this needs to be checked against question samples. Memory rounds affect how much prior conversation is carried in. The same question submitted with empty history and with history produces different input, and may yield different supporting evidence. When a fixed reply format is used, field completeness and successful parsing require separate verification; checking text length alone does not confirm that downstream consumption works.

Semantic retrieval and the minimum relevance score act only on similarity filtering. They do not perform permission or entity isolation. Libraries built on different vector models cannot be associated together; identifiers should first be checked and non-matching libraries excluded, without running cross-model retrieval to compare missed recalls. RRF is a fusion process for mixed results, not a switch that can be turned on. Image retrieval requires corresponding image input and model capability, and reranking requires an available model enabled according to settings. The optional paths shown in the overall document flow diagram do not mean every request executes all of them.

Hypothetical paper exercise sample

Material text one (excerpt from a creator cooperation agreement): "The product for this campaign is Product A insulated bottle; the cooperation period is 1 March 2025 to 31 March 2025; the product description used by Party B in the livestream must be consistent with the product materials provided by Party A."

Material text two (excerpt from a sample shipment sheet): "Shipment target: Product A insulated bottle, quantity 2, shipment date 20 February 2025, receipt status: not signed for."

Material text three (excerpt from a commission setting sheet): "Product A insulated bottle commission rate 15%, applicable period 1 March 2025 to 31 March 2025."

Draft sentence to be assessed: "The Product A insulated bottle uses a food-grade 316 stainless steel inner liner, keeps contents warm for up to 24 hours, and orders placed during this campaign period receive an exclusive gift."

The material, warmth-retention duration and gift information in this draft sentence are not stated in the three materials above, so they are unsupported content. The cooperation period and the product object match the materials.

Configuration and implementation checks

Configuration or check itemAssumed starting point for this exerciseReason for the choice and comparison target
AI model and maximum contextSelect a model whose configuration window shows support for the required context lengthCompare against the combined length of the draft sentence and the three materials to confirm the materials can be carried in full
Reply limitAssumed starting point of a length that can hold the supporting evidence and the handling actionCompare against the draft sentence length and observe whether early truncation occurs
Knowledge base reference limitAssumed starting point set in tokens, covering the three material passagesCompare against the length of a single material passage and check whether references are trimmed
Memory roundsAssumed starting point of retaining a small number of prior roundsCompare the input for the same question with empty history and with history
Reply formatSelect json_schema when fixed fields are needed, and fill in the format requirementsCheck field completeness and successful parsing, not text length alone
Minimum relevance scoreAssumed starting point of a lower thresholdCompare against semantic retrieval or rerank results and observe whether low-relevance passages are filtered

These values are assumed starting points for this exercise, not official defaults.

Three common errors

  1. Treating the reply limit as the full context window. The input is the maximum context and the reply limit shown in the model configuration window. Compare whether the two values are conflated, and observe whether material is wrongly judged as over-length and truncated.
  2. Using the minimum relevance score to exclude unauthorized records. The input is a commission passage that is similar to the question but belongs to a different cooperation period. Compare results before and after filtering, and observe whether similarity is treated as permission or entity filtering.
  3. Judging an unstated promotional sentence as a contradiction. The input is the "316 stainless steel inner liner" phrase in the draft sentence and the three material texts. Compare the same subject, the same period and the same field, and observe whether material that does not state a fact is misjudged as a denial or a conflict.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the three material texts and the draft sentence from the hypothetical sample. Compare each promotional point in the draft sentence against the fields stated in the materials, and observe whether the material, warmth-retention duration and gift items are marked as unsupported, and whether the cooperation period and product object are marked as consistent.
  2. Input the same question with empty history and with a small amount of history. Compare the content actually carried into the two requests, observe whether the supporting evidence changes because of the history difference, and record the actual observation without presupposing the result.
  3. Input a clearly paper-based empty result []. Compare whether the downstream consumption design handles it as an empty reference, and observe whether an assertion appears that a fabricated rule retrieval must return []. Missing evidence remains missing, a pending review is not approval, and an unsigned agreement is not a completed cooperation.
