What the documents look like
Multi-warehouse allocation decides the shipping warehouse at the order routing stage. The contract and transaction material comparison for this category handles allocation rules, inventory synchronization tables, transfer orders and out-of-stock warnings. These materials come from WMS, OMS, ERP inventory and platform inventory interfaces, with update frequencies of daily or hourly.
The comparison action is to place a statement to be checked against the original text in a selected knowledge base, line by line, and confirm that the citation source can be traced. At the retrieval step, the vector model identifier of each associated knowledge base is checked first. Only knowledge bases that share the same vector model can be associated together. The search node outputs a citation array, and the length may be zero. An empty array means the output path still runs through, and it does not mean the workflow reported an error and stopped.
Constraints at the citation tracing step
Citation tracing requires the comparison conclusion to rest on the original text. The retrieval output is handed to the answer step, and each answer is checked against the cited original text. A traceable sample is used to check the displayed original text. A thinking process or fluent answer cannot replace source evidence. Material timeliness needs to distinguish the current version from the historical version, and whether a citation is adopted still depends on review against the valid version.
Hypothetical drill sample: a supply chain planning role holds an "Allocation Rules (hypothetical version)" whose original text reads, "For East China region orders, when sellable inventory is greater than zero, ship from the East China warehouse; when East China warehouse sellable inventory is zero, ship from the North China warehouse instead." A separate "Inventory Synchronization Table (hypothetical version)" records "East China warehouse sellable inventory: zero." A draft sentence to be judged reads, "East China region orders ship from the East China warehouse." The comparison input is the original text of the two materials plus the draft sentence. The comparison object is the field values of the draft sentence and the original text, and the observation is whether the draft sentence matches the original text in the same subject, the same period and the same field. The original text states that when East China warehouse sellable inventory is zero, shipping shifts to the North China warehouse. The draft sentence omits that condition, so it is unsupported and remains to be verified.
Configuration and implementation checks
The table below centers on the sample above and lists officially documented settings or implementation check items relevant to this feature and the primary task. The values are starting points for this hypothetical trial, with the reason for choosing them and the comparison object.
| Configuration or check item | Hypothetical trial starting point | Reason and comparison object |
|---|---|---|
| Associated knowledge bases | Associate only the allocation rules base and the inventory synchronization table base that share the same vector model | The documentation states that only the same vector model can be associated together; compare against the vector model identifiers of other bases and exclude those that do not match |
| Citation output | Receive the array, length may be zero | The documentation states that citations are output as an array and the length may be 0; compare against the input format of the downstream answer step |
| Citation input handoff | Pass the retrieval output to the answer step | The documentation states that the answer is checked against the cited original text; compare the draft sentence line by line against the original text |
| Citation upper limit | Set the starting point to cover the tokens needed for the original text of both materials | The documentation states that the citation upper limit is controlled by tokens; compare against the total length of the original material text and confirm it is not trimmed |
| Minimum relevance | Keep the default as the starting point for this hypothetical trial | The documentation states that this value takes effect only in semantic retrieval or with result reranking; compare against the retrieval mode to confirm whether it applies |
| Material timeliness check | Keep the current version and the historical version samples separately | The documentation states that current and historical versions are used to test the source; compare against the valid version review result |
Three common errors
- Treating retrieval output as authorization. Retrieval or form value collection, business verification, approval, database writes and external synchronization each need their own downstream implementation. The input is the retrieved citation array, the comparison object is whether an approval or authorization record exists, and the observed result is that the citation array exists while the authorization record is missing, which remains to be verified.
- Treating an empty citation as an error. The documentation states that the citation length may be 0 and the output path still runs through. The input is a paper input empty array, the comparison object is whether the downstream design accepts an empty array, and the observed result is that the downstream has no empty-array branch, which is a configuration gap.
- Forcing knowledge bases with different vector models to be associated together. The documentation states that only the same vector model can be associated together. The input is the vector model identifiers of two bases, the comparison object is whether the identifiers match, and the observed result is that they are associated despite mismatched identifiers, which is a configuration error. Cross-model bases cannot be associated together; check the identifiers and exclude those that do not match.
How to verify the setup
- Input the original text of the "Allocation Rules (hypothetical version)", the original text of the "Inventory Synchronization Table (hypothetical version)" and the draft sentence "East China region orders ship from the East China warehouse." The comparison object is the field values of the draft sentence and the original text. The observed result is that the draft sentence lacks the condition "when East China warehouse sellable inventory is zero, ship from the North China warehouse instead", so it is judged unsupported and remains to be verified.
- Input a paper input empty array. The comparison object is whether the downstream answer step accepts an empty array. The observed result is that the downstream design includes an empty-array branch, which meets the condition; if the downstream has no such branch, record it as a configuration gap.
- Input the vector model identifiers of two knowledge bases. The comparison object is whether the identifiers match. The observed result is that association is allowed only when the identifiers match; when they do not match, exclude those that do not match and record the actual observation, without running a cross-model retrieval to compare missed recalls.
