What the documents look like
Handoff between a warehouse and a carrier happens at the point where parcels leave the warehouse, and the carrier scan record is the key evidence for assigning responsibility. The material set for comparison in this category includes electronic waybills, handoff manifests, pickup scan records, and exception parcel registers. These materials update per batch or per day. The feature on this page does not depend on a batch synchronization mechanism, so update frequency is noted only where it affects the comparison itself.
In practice, these documents frequently carry mismatched parties, unstated status, or missing validity scope. Comparison must proceed line by line against the original text. A fluent answer returned by retrieval does not substitute for source evidence. The main task here is contract and transaction material comparison, and the specific feature is citation source tracing: confirming where a cited statement came from, which document version it belongs to, and whether the cited text and the drafted statement agree on the same field for the same party and the same period.
Constraints at the citation tracing step
Retrieval only recalls candidate content and does not perform authorization judgment. The knowledge base search node can associate one or more knowledge bases that use the same vector model, and the citation output is an array whose length may be zero. An empty array means the output path still runs; it does not mean a business action has been completed. Citation content must be passed to the answering step and checked item by item, and the displayed original text and the answer content must agree.
Material timeliness must be tested with a current version and a historical version of the document. Whether a citation is adopted still depends on review against the effective version. RRF is a fusion process for mixed results, not a switch that can be turned on. Reranking requires a model and must be enabled according to settings. Image retrieval requires corresponding image input and model capability. Knowledge bases with different vector models cannot be associated together; check the identifiers, exclude those that do not match, and record the actual observation.
A relevance score is not a category, entity, or permission filter, and retrieval is not authorization. Forms collect values; business verification, approval, database writes, and external synchronization require their stated downstream implementation. Without a documented error code or actual observation, describe what to compare and what remains unknown.
Configuration and implementation checks
Hypothetical drill sample: a warehouse shipping group processes a batch of 30 parcels on 10 June 2025. The handoff manifest states: "Carrier A completed pickup scan at 18:00 on 10 June." The electronic waybill shows: "Sender entity: a warehousing company." The exception parcel register states: "2 parcels with damaged outer packaging, pending carrier confirmation." A drafted sentence reads: "Carrier A has completed pickup of all 30 parcels, with no exceptions." This drafted sentence and the exception parcel register take mutually exclusive values on the same field, so the point remains to be verified.
| Check item | Input | Observed result and condition |
|---|---|---|
| Associated knowledge base identifier | Selected knowledge base list | Knowledge bases may be associated together only when their vector model identifiers match |
| Citation content output | Search node output | Array length may be zero; an empty array does not indicate an error |
| Citation input handover | Retrieval output and answering step | Check item by item whether the answer and the cited original text agree |
| Citation display check | Traceable sample | The condition is met only when the displayed original text and the answer content agree |
| Material timeliness check | Current version and historical version documents | A citation may be adopted only when the version is effective and the citation has been reviewed |
| Empty result handover | Paper input [] | The downstream design must handle an empty array; do not claim that a fictional rule necessarily returns [] |
Three common errors
- Treating a retrieval hit as an authorization basis. Error: the citation content returned by the knowledge base search is taken directly as proof that the carrier has completed pickup. Executable check: input the retrieval output and the original handoff manifest text, compare the party, date, and quantity fields, and observe whether they agree.
- Treating an empty array as a business exception. Error: when the search node output has length 0, the workflow is judged to have failed or the business action is judged not to have been executed. Executable check: input the paper value [] and the downstream node design, compare whether an empty-value handling path exists, and observe whether the path runs through.
- Treating a pending item as a negative conclusion. Error: when the exception parcel register states "pending carrier confirmation," the drafted sentence is written as "no exceptions." Executable check: input the original exception parcel register text and the drafted sentence, compare whether the values on the same field are mutually exclusive, and observe whether the statement is unsupported.
How to verify the setup
- Input the handoff manifest original text from the hypothetical sample, "Carrier A completed pickup scan at 18:00 on 10 June," together with the drafted sentence, "Carrier A has completed pickup of all 30 parcels, with no exceptions." Compare the quantity field and the exception status field, and observe whether the exception parcel register entry "2 parcels with damaged outer packaging, pending carrier confirmation" contradicts the drafted sentence. If it contradicts, the drafted sentence does not meet the condition.
- Input the paper empty array [] and the downstream node design. Compare whether the downstream has an empty-value handling path, and observe whether the path runs through. If the downstream design does not handle an empty array, the condition is not met.
- Input the current version and the historical version of the handoff manifest. Compare the version identifier and the citation scope, and observe whether the citation has been reviewed against an effective version. If the version is not stated, or only one version exists, record the evidence gap and do not judge it as a negative or a conflict.
Across all three checks, the comparison must concern the same party, the same period, and the same field. A contradiction is established only when the same field carries clearly mutually exclusive values. An unstated field, or evidence that covers only a related stage, remains unsupported or pending verification. A pending review does not demonstrate the absence of an operating permission, and signing, reaching cooperation, and contract effectiveness are three distinct facts.
