What the documents look like
Fresh-food weighing and sorting happens inside warehouse fulfilment, and the working data centres on weight and specification. The materials handled day to day are picking task sheets, weighing labels, short-weight compensation forms and quality inspection records. These arrive from the WMS, electronic scales, the order system and inspection photographs, and they update per order and per day.
For the contract-and-transaction-material comparison task, these four material types are placed inside one authorization boundary and checked against each other. The question is which subject may view or operate on which material, in what state, and within what effective scope. The materials sit across several systems, so permission and data isolation have to be verified account by account. Retrieval relevance does not stand in for an authorization decision.
Constraints at the access controls step
Picking task sheets, weighing labels, short-weight compensation forms and quality inspection records are files or folders inside a knowledge base. In the permission system they correspond to the collection resource type.
When knowledge-base file-level permission is off, collection readability matches the knowledge base exactly and the system queries no collection permission records. When it is on, every file or folder receives a complete permission snapshot, and the list, the detail view and retrieval recall all authenticate against that snapshot item by item. Knowledge-base permission remains the threshold at all times; collection permission cannot bypass it.
Retrieval recall filters by the files the current member can read, and this applies only when authentication runs as the current member identity. A workflow that preselects a knowledge base without member-identity authentication does not apply file-level filtering and still recalls under knowledge-base permission. A team administrator does not bypass file-level permission; team-level administrative permission covers only the team's own resources. System root and the team owner are treated as holding full permission over all files.
Hypothetical drill sample: a front-warehouse quality inspection supervisor submits a handover request asking that view permission for the picking task sheet "2025-03-12 morning shift, zone A" be granted to picker A. The current creator of that task sheet is the supervisor. File-level permission has not been enabled for the knowledge base. The proposed sentence reads: "View permission for the 2025-03-12 morning shift zone A task sheet has been granted to picker A." The point to decide is whether that proposed sentence holds.
Configuration and implementation checks
The table below covers only the documented settings or implementation checks that bear on this feature and this primary task, tied to the sample above.
| Check item | Setting or action | Relation to the sample |
|---|---|---|
| Knowledge-base file-level permission switch | Confirm whether file-level permission is enabled for the knowledge base | In the sample it is not enabled, so a write operation configuring a single file's permission is rejected |
| Enablement entry and permission requirement | Enter from the target row menu in the knowledge base detail file list; knowledge-base manage permission is required | Whether the supervisor holds that permission is unknown and must be checked |
| Collection collaborator roles | Read permission, write permission, administrator, creator | The permission to be granted is view, which corresponds to read permission |
| Creator constraint | The submitted collaborator list must contain the current creator | The creator in the sample is the supervisor, so the list must contain that member |
| Full-overwrite semantics | The submitted list is the final result | Submitting picker A alone can drop the creator record, and the operation is rejected |
| Retrieval recall authentication condition | Applies when authentication runs as the current member identity | The handover request does not state whether the retrieval entry authenticates by member identity |
Hypothetical starting point for this exercise: change the knowledge-base file-level permission switch from off to on. The reason is that the knowledge base in the sample is in the off state and a single file's permission cannot be configured before it is on. The comparison object is the acceptance result of the same file permission configuration request before and after the change.
Three common errors
- Treating retrieval relevance or a similarity setting as a permission filter. In the sample, retrieval recall filters by the files the current member can read; a similarity score does not carry the function of excluding unauthorized records, and retrieval is not authorization.
- Treating team administrator identity as grounds for bypassing file-level permission. If the supervisor in the sample is only a team administrator, the knowledge base and the files are still authenticated against their own collaborator configuration, and team-level administrative permission does not cover file permission.
- Treating "has been granted" in the proposed sentence as a completed fact. In the sample, file-level permission is not enabled for the knowledge base, so a write operation configuring a single file's permission is rejected, and the state described in the proposed sentence is unsupported.
How to verify the setup
- Input the sample text and the proposed sentence, then compare the knowledge-base file-level permission switch state against the authorization action described in the proposed sentence. If the switch is off, the write operation configuring a single file's permission is rejected with a prompt to enable it first, and the proposed sentence does not hold. If the switch is on and the collaborator list contains the creator, the read-permission configuration request can be accepted, and the acceptance result still needs to be checked against the actual permission snapshot.
- Input picker A's account and the supervisor's account, then compare the visible content of the same task sheet in the file list and the detail view. If picker A has not been added to the collaborator list, the task sheet is not visible to that account. If picker A has been added with read permission, it is visible. Record the actual visible content and operation result without presupposing a conclusion.
- Input the retrieval entry condition that the sample handover request does not state, then compare the retrieval recall scope under member-identity authentication against the scope without it. If retrieval authenticates as the current member identity, files beyond that member's permission are not recalled. If a workflow preselects the knowledge base without member-identity authentication, recall still follows knowledge-base permission. This branch condition is not recorded in the sample and remains an item to verify; no cross-model retrieval comparison of missed recall is performed.
This feature's verified public technical facts, used to identify related content in the documents: check the actual member identity and team role, since a role name does not replace a resource access test; check read and operation permission item by item against the authorization scope of the relevant resource; file classification, labels and retrieval relevance are not access authorization, and a retrieval setting cannot replace permission; when connecting to a business system, verify the external interface authentication and the FastGPT resource permission separately; use accounts with and without permission to check the same material and record the actual visible content and operation result.
