What the documents look like
Group-buy presale collection takes orders first and organizes procurement and fulfillment afterward. The working materials for one session include the presale product table, the collection result, the procurement plan, and the cut-off notice. These materials update daily or per session, and after a session cut-off the work moves into purchase placement and sorting wave arrangement. Contract and transaction material comparison must determine whether the item, quantity, and price recorded in the presale product table point to the same entity, the same period, and the same field as the collection result and the procurement plan. When materials from different sessions are mixed, the comparison conclusion loses its basis.
Context and token handling in this step keeps the model looking at the original text of the same session and the same field, with cited content not truncated and earlier session quantities or prices not carried into the current judgment through conversation history. A presale session is a bounded unit: the session identifier, item name, specification, quantity, unit price, and cut-off time belong together. If the cited content is cut, the model may see only part of a field and the comparison cannot stand. If too many history turns are included, a quantity from a previous session cut-off notice enters the current context and confuses the value of the same field.
Constraints at the context limits step
The comparison task depends on original text completeness. When the citation limit is too small, the quantity and unit price of the same item in the presale product table may be cut in half, and the model sees only partial fields. When the reply limit is too low, the model may output a conclusion while omitting the supporting fields, and manual review cannot check the basis. Structured output requires complete fields; checking text length alone does not confirm that parsing succeeded.
Retrieval results provide candidate content only. Authorization status, approval status, and signing status still require manual or downstream system verification, and retrieval itself does not constitute authorization. A relevance score is a similarity filter threshold, not a category, entity, or permission filter; it does not exclude unrelated businesses or unauthorized records. The documented citation limit is measured in tokens, not a guessed item count.
The maximum context of a model is a separate capability indicator from the reply limit. The reply limit controls the length of a single answer. Treating the two as one leads to a long material being misjudged as fully read. The thinking budget is a reasoning budget and is not a citation token limit.
Configuration and implementation checks
The following settings address this page's comparison task. The values are hypothetical starting points for this paper exercise, not official defaults.
| Configuration item | Hypothetical starting point for this exercise | Reason and comparison method |
|---|---|---|
| Citation limit | Controlled by token, starting point set to cover all item fields of one session's presale product table | Compare with the length of a single material segment to confirm the cut-off notice and collection result are not truncated |
| Minimum relevance | Starting point set to medium, effective only in semantic retrieval or with result reranking | Compare with recalled content to observe whether unrelated fragments are filtered |
| Search mode | Hybrid retrieval with result reranking | Item numbers and quantities are precise fields; semantic and full-text recall results are fused through RRF |
| Question optimization | Enabled for multi-turn follow-up scenarios | Compare the retrieval terms for the same question before and after enabling to confirm coreference resolution |
| Reply format | Select json_schema and fill in format requirements when fixed fields are needed | Compare whether parsed result fields are complete |
| Memory turns | Starting point set to a small number of history turns | Compare the input for the same question with empty history and with history |
Three common errors
- Treating the reply limit as the complete context window. The reply limit controls the length of a single answer, while the model's maximum context is a separate capability indicator. Mixing the two causes a long material to be misjudged as fully read.
- Treating minimum relevance as a permission or entity filter. This value is a similarity filter threshold. It does not distinguish business ownership and does not exclude unauthorized records.
- Treating a retrieval hit as completed authorization or approval. Retrieval returns candidate content. Signing, cooperation reached, and contract effectiveness are three different facts. A pending review status does not demonstrate the absence of operation permission.
How to verify the setup
Hypothetical paper exercise sample: a community group-buy platform operator intends to check the contract and transaction materials of one presale collection session. The presale product table original text is: "Session S-0417, item A potato 500 g, presale quantity 200 units, unit price 3.5 yuan, cut-off time April 17 at 20:00." The collection result original text is: "Session S-0417, item A potato 500 g, group-formed quantity 180 units." The procurement plan original text is: "Session S-0417, item A potato 500 g, procurement quantity 180 units, supplier confirmation status is pending confirmation." The draft sentence to be judged is: "Session S-0417 item A procurement quantity matches the group-formed quantity, and the supplier has confirmed."
- Verification one: input the three original texts above and the draft sentence, compare the supplier confirmation status field in the procurement plan with "has confirmed" in the draft sentence, and observe that when the status is "pending confirmation," the draft sentence is not supported and the evidence gap must be recorded.
- Verification two: input the presale product table original text and the collection result original text above, compare the quantity values for the same session, same item, and same field, and observe that presale quantity 200 units and group-formed quantity 180 units belong to different fields, do not constitute a contradiction, and only reflect the difference between presale and group formation.
- Verification three: input the same comparison question with empty history and with the previous session's cut-off notice history, compare the session identifier and quantity fields appearing in the two inputs, and observe that when the previous session's quantity is mixed into the history input, that history must be excluded before judging the current session conclusion.
These verifications are paper checks and were not actually executed. Retrieval checks require observing actual returned content and failure branches; first-hit or full recall is not guaranteed. Libraries across different vector models cannot be jointly associated; verify identifiers first, exclude non-matching ones, and record actual observations. Empty-result handling can use an explicit paper input [] to check downstream design, without claiming that a fictional rule retrieval necessarily returns [].
