What the documents look like
Pinduoduo low-price campaign operations revolve around campaign resource slots, campaign inventory, and refund-rate fluctuation. The main data sources are the merchant backend, campaign resource-slot data, ERP inventory, and logistics delivery records. The documents handled day to day are campaign registration forms, product cost calculation sheets, after-sales refund slips, and platform internal messages. These materials update daily or per campaign. Errors can lead to stockout penalties, loss-making accepted orders, and a higher after-sales rate.
For the inventory procurement and supplier materials task, four document types have distinct structures. A campaign registration form carries the campaign name, registered product, campaign price, and inventory quantity. A product cost calculation sheet carries purchase unit price, logistics cost, and gross-margin calculation. An after-sales refund slip carries order number, refund reason, and refund amount. A platform internal message carries notice items and time requirements. If these fields are split apart during chunking, a retrieval result may match only the campaign price while losing the corresponding inventory scope.
Constraints at the document chunking step
The following is a hypothetical paper exercise sample, used only to explain a checking method. It does not point to any real merchant or platform record.
Material text for checking: a campaign registration form states "Campaign name: Spring Low-Price Special; Registered product: Model A storage box; Campaign price: 9.9 yuan; Campaign inventory: 500 units; Registration deadline: April 10, 2025." A product cost calculation sheet for the same batch states "Model A storage box purchase unit price: 7.2 yuan; Logistics cost: 1.5 yuan per unit; Calculated gross margin: 1.2 yuan per unit." A platform internal message states "Spring Low-Price Special registration under review; please confirm inventory before April 8, 2025."
One draft sentence to be judged: "Model A storage box has passed Spring Low-Price Special registration review, and the campaign inventory of 500 units has been confirmed."
This draft sentence involves three facts to be verified: registration review status, the inventory confirmation action, and the correspondence between the campaign inventory quantity and the registration form. The internal message shows only "under review" and does not state that review passed. The materials contain no record of an inventory confirmation action. The 500 units is the campaign inventory filled in on the registration form and does not mean confirmed sellable stock. Judging requires same subject, same period, and same field. The campaign inventory field on the registration form and the "has been confirmed" wording of the draft sentence are different facts and cannot corroborate each other. The review status field in the internal message is "under review," while the draft sentence says "has passed." The same field holds mutually exclusive values, which constitutes a contradiction.
Configuration and implementation checks
Configuration centers on the four document types of this page's sample and lists settings already explained in the official material or implementation check items relevant to this feature. The hypothetical trial starting values in the table are for this paper check only and do not represent official defaults.
| Configuration item | Hypothetical trial starting value | Reason and comparison method |
|---|---|---|
| Search mode | Hybrid search | The campaign registration form contains natural-language fields such as campaign name, and the refund slip contains precise fields such as order number. Hybrid search uses semantic recall and full-text recall together and fuses them through RRF. Compare with semantic search alone and observe whether order-number queries match. |
| Minimum relevance | 0.3 | A hypothetical starting value for this check, used to filter low-relevance results. Compare with 0.5 and observe whether registration-form fragments are still recalled. This value takes effect only under semantic search or result reranking. |
| Reference limit | 800 tokens | A hypothetical starting value for this check, controlling the amount of referenced content per search. Compare with 500 tokens and observe whether the cost calculation sheet and registration form are split apart. |
| Question optimization | Enabled | On a follow-up question such as "how much inventory does this product have," coreference resolution can complete the product subject. Compare with disabled and observe whether the follow-up still recalls the corresponding registration form. |
| Result reranking | Enabled | Performs a second ordering of text when candidate results are numerous. Compare with disabled and observe whether campaign price and inventory fields return in the same segment. |
| Segmentation completeness check | Manual review | Check whether the campaign price and campaign inventory on the registration form sit in the same data block, avoiding separation of a condition from the content it constrains. |
Three common errors
- Treating the campaign inventory filled in on the registration form as confirmed sellable inventory. The input is the registration form's "Campaign inventory: 500 units." The comparison object is the draft sentence's "campaign inventory of 500 units has been confirmed." The observable result is that the materials contain no inventory confirmation action record, so the sentence is unsupported.
- Reading the internal message's "under review" as "has passed." The input is the internal message's "registration under review." The comparison object is the draft sentence's "has passed registration review." The same review status field holds mutually exclusive values, which constitutes a contradiction.
- Treating a successful upload as retrieval already updated. The input is a material upload action. The comparison object is the actual training and index status. The observable result is that the training completion status needs to be checked; a successful upload does not mean new content can be recalled by retrieval.
How to verify the setup
- Use "Model A storage box" from the sample text as the retrieval input, and compare whether the returned fragment contains both the campaign price of 9.9 yuan and the campaign inventory of 500 units. The condition is met when both fields appear in the same referenced content. If only the campaign price returns, record that the segment was split apart.
- Use "Spring Low-Price Special review" as the full-text retrieval input, and compare whether the returned fragment matches the internal message's "under review." The condition is met when the internal message text is returned. If the draft sentence's "has passed" is returned, record that recall did not follow the source text.
- Use an order-number type field as the precise query input, and compare whether the returned fragment matches the corresponding order number on the after-sales refund slip. The condition is met when the order number appears completely in the referenced content. If it does not match, record that the full-text or hybrid search setting needs review. When the result is empty, a clearly stated paper input can be used to check the downstream design, without claiming that a fictional-rule search necessarily returns an empty array.
