What the documents look like
Cross-border return refurbishment and resale handles reverse logistics and item condition. It differs from inbound replenishment management, which covers first-leg stock movement. The documents in daily use are return inspection sheets, refurbishment records, scrap declarations and relisting lists. Sources include overseas warehouse WMS, TikTok return centers, Amazon return reports and item inspection photos. Updates arrive daily or per batch. For the procurement and supplier records task, workflow routing has to carry the inspection conclusions, refurbishment status and listing scope found in these documents, turning manual judgment into checkable branch paths. Grading a return, arranging refurbishment packaging and deciding between scrap and resale are the three most time-consuming steps. Workflow routing matters because each step needs a clear input, interaction and output handoff.
Constraints at the workflow routing step
When a form input node triggers, the conversation enters an interaction state. The node collects required information and passes it to later nodes after submission. A user selection node evaluates the user's choice and executes the corresponding "yes" branch. The interaction state is recorded by the interaction node; no separate global state switch is documented. Collected information must be passed explicitly to later retrieval, judgment or interface nodes, and outputs are compared against inputs item by item. Order writes, document backfill and external status synchronization require a separate business interface or later process. A form or selection does not by itself constitute authorized execution.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample: the text of a return inspection sheet reads "Subject: a cross-border seller in East China; Object: Bluetooth earphones from batch R2024-05; Status: inspection judges them refurbishable, outer packaging damaged, function normal; Scope: 120 units total, dated 10 May 2024." A proposed sentence reads "All 120 units in this batch have completed refurbishment and can be relisted directly." A pending request reads "Please mark the 120 Bluetooth earphones in batch R2024-05 as relistable and synchronize to the inventory system." In this sample, the inspection sheet states only that refurbishment is possible. It does not state that refurbishment is complete, and it does not state that relisting has been authorized. Retrieval or form collection does not change that authorization status.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration item | Setting or check content | Relation to this page's documents |
|---|---|---|
| Form input node | Enters interaction state on trigger, collects required information and passes it to later nodes | Collects key fields from the return inspection sheet |
| User selection node | Executes the "yes" branch after the user makes a choice | Supports the refurbish-or-scrap branch decision |
| Interaction state check | Recording state is behavior of the interaction node | No separate global state recording switch is added |
| Output handoff check | Passes collected information to later retrieval, judgment or interface nodes | Compares outputs against inputs item by item |
| External operation division | Order writes, document backfill and external status synchronization connect to a business interface | A form does not constitute authorized execution |
| Hypothetical trial starting point | Uses the 120 units of batch R2024-05 as the scope of this paper check, compared against the inspection sheet text | This value is a hypothetical starting point for this exercise, not an official default |
Three common errors
- Treating "refurbishable" on the inspection sheet as "refurbishment completed." The input is the inspection sheet text; the compared field is "Status: inspection judges them refurbishable"; the observed result is that no refurbishment completion record appears in the source text, so the proposed sentence "have completed refurbishment" is unsupported.
- Treating a form submission or user selection as relisting authorization. The input is the pending request "mark as relistable and synchronize to the inventory system"; the comparison object is the authorization scope in the inspection sheet; the observed result is that the source text does not state relisting authorization, so the request remains pending verification.
- Treating the interaction node's state recording as a global state switch. The input is the node documentation; the comparison object is "recording state is behavior of the interaction node"; the observed result is that the documentation does not describe a global switch, so no such item should be added to configuration.
How to verify the setup
- Use the inspection sheet text from the hypothetical sample together with the proposed sentence "All 120 units in this batch have completed refurbishment and can be relisted directly." The input is the three-sentence source text; the compared fields are "refurbishable" and "have completed refurbishment"; when the source text contains no refurbishment completion record, the proposed sentence is marked unsupported.
- Use the pending request from the hypothetical sample, "Please mark the 120 Bluetooth earphones in batch R2024-05 as relistable and synchronize to the inventory system." The input is that request and the authorization scope in the inspection sheet; the comparison object is whether the source text states relisting authorization; when it does not, the request stays pending verification and does not enter an execution branch.
- Use the batch scope from the hypothetical sample, "120 units total, dated 10 May 2024." The input is that scope and the output of later nodes; the comparison object is whether later nodes carry forward subject, object, status and scope item by item; when output matches input, the handoff check is satisfied, and any missing field is recorded as an evidence gap.
