What the documents look like
Member private-domain operations centre on customer data and repeat-purchase outreach, and they do not cover store shift scheduling. The working materials are member tag tables, outreach plans, coupon rules and privacy authorization records. These come from CRM systems, enterprise WeChat, POS transaction records and mini-program behaviour data, and they update daily or weekly. In store service and internal training, guides and enterprise WeChat operators cite these materials when answering customers or onboarding new staff. Whether a cited source can be traced back determines whether outreach stays inside the authorized scope and whether coupon rules are read correctly. Update frequency does not change the tracing method on this page, so synchronization mechanisms are not covered here.
Constraints at the citation tracing step
The knowledge base search node selects one or more knowledge bases that share the same vector model and outputs citations as an array, which may have length zero; when the array is empty, the output path still completes. The minimum relevance value takes effect only in semantic retrieval or with result reranking. It is a filter threshold and does not perform permission or entity isolation. The same-vector-model requirement constrains only which knowledge bases can be associated together; it does not extend to business-registration sites or other external systems. Hybrid retrieval merges multiple result paths through RRF, and RRF is a fusion process rather than a switch that can be turned on. The citation limit controls, in tokens, the maximum content cited per search. Image retrieval requires corresponding image input and model capability, and reranking requires a model that is enabled by configuration. The optional paths shown in the overall flow diagram do not mean every request executes all of them.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample: a brand member private-domain operations team keeps the original text of a Member Outreach Authorization Record, containing two sentences: "Member A signed an electronic authorization on 1 March 2025, agreeing to receive enterprise WeChat service notifications, with the authorized scope limited to order fulfilment and after-sales reminders" and "This authorization does not include marketing campaign pushes." A separate Coupon Rules original text states: "Coupon C is valid only within the validity period of March 2025; it becomes void after expiry." A draft sentence to be assessed reads: "Member A is authorized, so a March marketing campaign can be pushed and Coupon C issued." The subject needed for the judgment is Member A, the object is enterprise WeChat service notifications and Coupon C, the status is that the authorized scope is limited to order fulfilment and after-sales reminders, and the validity scope is March 2025. This sample is a paper exercise and does not represent any real customer or executed action.
Configuration and implementation checks
The table below lists officially documented settings or implementation check items relevant to this page's materials and primary task. Where a value appears, it is explicitly a hypothetical starting point for this exercise, with the comparison object stated.
| Configuration or check item | Hypothetical starting point or value for this exercise | Reason and comparison method |
|---|---|---|
| Associated knowledge bases | Member tag table, outreach plan, coupon rules, privacy authorization records | All four materials fall within this task's citation scope; first check whether the vector model identifiers match, and exclude any that do not |
| Search mode | Semantic retrieval plus full-text retrieval | Authorization scope and coupon validity contain dates and qualifiers, so full-text retrieval suits exact hits while semantic retrieval covers natural-language phrasing |
| Minimum relevance | Hypothetical starting point 0.5 for this exercise | This value takes effect only in semantic retrieval or with reranking; compare against the number of returned items when the value is not set, and observe whether low-relevance fragments are filtered |
| Citation limit | Hypothetical starting point 2000 tokens for this exercise | The citation total is controlled in tokens; compare against the sample original length to confirm the authorization-scope sentence and coupon-validity sentence both enter the citation |
| Question optimization | Not enabled in this hypothetical exercise | The sample question has a clear subject; enabling it adds one model call, so compare elapsed time and cited content against the enabled case before deciding |
| Citation output check | Inspect whether the output array contains the authorization-scope sentence and the coupon-validity sentence | When the array is empty, the downstream design must be able to receive it; an empty array is not the same as a workflow error termination |
Three common errors
- Treating minimum relevance as a permission filter. The input is the sample authorization record, and the comparison object is the retrieved content against the authorized-scope field. If a high relevance score alone is taken to mean Member A's marketing push is authorized, the original limitation to order fulfilment and after-sales reminders has been ignored.
- Writing RRF as a switch that can be turned on. The input is the hybrid retrieval configuration, and the comparison object is the documented role of RRF against the list of configuration items. Adding an RRF switch to the configuration does not match the documented fusion process.
- Treating a pending-review state as granted authorization. The input is an outreach request marked "pending review," and the comparison object is whether the authorization record contains a corresponding signature and effective field. Treating a submitted request as executable confuses pending review with granted authorization.
How to verify the setup
- Input the original text of the Member Outreach Authorization Record from the hypothetical sample and the draft sentence "Member A is authorized, so a March marketing campaign can be pushed and Coupon C issued." Compare the scope stated in the draft sentence against the original text's "authorized scope limited to order fulfilment and after-sales reminders" and "does not include marketing campaign pushes." If the draft sentence lists marketing push as authorized, the judgment is unsupported, and the authorization record must be checked for a separate marketing authorization field.
- Input the Coupon Rules original text "Coupon C is valid only within the validity period of March 2025; it becomes void after expiry" and the issuance action in the draft sentence. Compare whether the coupon's validity period and the usage time stated in the draft sentence fall within the same period. If the draft sentence states no issuance date or usage date, record the evidence gap and do not judge Coupon C usable or unusable.
- Input a paper-based empty citation array [] and compare whether the downstream answer step is designed to receive a citation of length zero. If the downstream step still completes and outputs a pending-verification notice with an empty array, the condition is met; if the downstream design depends on a non-empty citation, record that design gap and do not claim a fictitious rule search necessarily returns an empty array.
