What the documents look like
Concession-counter operations at a brand shopping mall rely on four document groups: the joint-operation concession contract, mall activity letters, sales receipts, and monthly reconciliation statements. The data comes from the mall POS, the brand ERP, mall membership activity records, and the finance system, and it updates daily and monthly. The defining difference from a brand-operated street store is that a concession counter accepts the mall's unified cashiering and settlement with a concession fee. That difference shapes what staff training must reconcile: whether the transactions on a sales receipt fall within the mall's unified cashiering scope, and whether the concession rate stated in the joint-operation contract and the concession fee on the monthly reconciliation statement cover the same period. Activity letters that change resource arrangements require the counter manager to explain the participation scope during handover. Forms collect operational requests and confirmations; they do not perform concession calculation or settlement approval.
Constraints at the interactive forms step
When the Form Input node is triggered, the conversation enters an interactive state, the workflow state is recorded, and execution waits until the user completes the interaction. After submission, the node collects the entered information and passes it to later nodes. When the User Selection node is triggered, it likewise enters an interactive state and executes a branch based on the user's selection. Neither node carries business database functions. Field validation, business approval, write-back, and batch operations must be implemented in an external system or in later nodes. Retrieval and form submission do not constitute authorization to execute. During operational handover, the authorization status of materials, operations, and requests must be checked separately.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample. A joint-operation concession contract states: "Party A is a mall operator, Party B is a brand retailer, the contract period runs from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, and the concession rate is twenty percent of the current month's tax-inclusive sales." A mall activity letter states: "This letter invites Party B's counter to join the mall membership activity from May 1 to May 5, 2024; participating counters grant a five percent discount on sales during the activity period." A draft sentence under review reads: "The counter has confirmed participation in this membership activity and will settle activity-period sales at the contract concession rate." Points to compare: whether the contract parties, period, and concession rate, and the activity letter's invited party, activity period, and discount rate, point to the same counter and the same time span. The draft sentence turns the activity letter's invitation into confirmed participation, and merges the activity discount rate with the contract concession rate into one settlement basis. Both points lack support in the source text.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration item | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Form Input node | Official node | Enters an interactive state when triggered, records workflow state, collects information on submission and passes it to later nodes |
| User Selection node | Official node | Enters an interactive state when triggered and executes a branch based on the user's selection |
| Required-information check | Implementation check | List the parties, objects, periods, and status fields that this task cannot omit, and test the behavior with the field missing and with it supplied |
| Interactive-state waiting | Official behavior | After the node triggers, it waits for the user to complete the interaction, then continues execution |
| Downstream processing split | Implementation check | Field validation, approval, write-back, and batch operations are implemented in an external system or in later nodes |
| Hypothetical starting point for this exercise | Hypothetical value | The draft-sentence check uses the contract period January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024 as the comparison scope; this value is chosen because the source text states that period, and the comparison object is the activity period May 1 to May 5, 2024 stated in the activity letter |
Three common errors
- Writing the activity letter's invitation as confirmed participation. The activity letter only expresses an invitation. The draft sentence says "has confirmed participation," but no counter reply or confirmation record is present, so that status is unsupported.
- Merging the activity discount rate with the contract concession rate into one settlement basis. The contract states a concession rate of twenty percent of tax-inclusive sales; the activity letter states that participating counters grant a five percent discount on activity-period sales. The parties are the same, but the rate values and the applicable scopes differ. The draft sentence settles activity-period sales at the contract concession rate, which does not match the discount rate stated in the activity letter.
- Treating form submission as completed approval or authorization. The Form Input node collects entered information and passes it to later nodes; it does not perform approval or write-back. An operational handover request submitted through a form remains pending.
How to verify the setup
- Enter the contract text and activity letter text from the hypothetical exercise sample. Compare the contract period January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024 with the activity period May 1 to May 5, 2024, and observe whether the draft sentence merges the two periods into one settlement scope. If the draft sentence does not distinguish them, record it as a period-scope misalignment.
- Enter the draft sentence "The counter has confirmed participation in this membership activity." Compare the invitation wording in the activity letter with the presence or absence of a counter confirmation record, and observe whether a confirming party and a confirmation time exist. If they are missing, record the participation status as unsupported; do not judge it as confirmed.
- Enter the contract concession rate of twenty percent and the activity letter discount rate of five percent. Compare the calculation object and applicable period for each rate, and observe whether the draft sentence applies both to the same settlement. If they are mixed, record a settlement-basis inconsistency, keep each source text's own wording, and do not supply authorization or effective clauses that are not present.
