What the documents look like
Group-buy leader operations manage community pickup nodes and commission, rather than cold-chain quality inspection. The working documents are leader agreements, commission tables, pickup lists and community announcements. The data sources are the group-buy platform back office, leader chat groups, order details and after-sales records, refreshed daily or per group. Store service and internal training use these materials to map each source statement to a specific version and authorization state for handover and training. The subject, object, state and validity range recorded in the material are the basis for judgment. When a field is absent, the item stays pending verification.
A knowledge-base search node can be linked to one or more knowledge bases that share the same vector model, and it outputs an array of cited content whose length may be zero. When the array is empty, the output path still runs through. Retrieval results do not constitute authorization. A form collecting a value does not mean business verification, approval, a database write or external synchronization has occurred. Minimum relevance takes effect only under semantic search or result reranking, and it is a filter threshold rather than a permission or entity isolation rule. RRF is the fusion step for mixed retrieval results. Reranking requires a model and must be enabled by configuration. Image retrieval requires corresponding image input and model capability. Knowledge bases built on different vector models cannot be linked together; check the identifiers first, exclude those that do not match, and record what is observed instead of running a cross-model search to compare missed recalls.
Hypothetical drill sample: a community group-buy platform and one leader signed a leader agreement whose text reads, "This agreement takes effect on the date both parties sign, and remains valid through 31 December 2025; Party A authorizes Party B to provide pickup service at the community node under its responsibility." For the same period the commission table states, "Commission for November 2025 is settled according to order details; settlement status is pending review." A draft community announcement sentence reads, "This leader has obtained renewal authorization for 2026 and may continue using the original pickup point." The request to be judged is, "Please confirm whether this leader's 2026 renewal authorization has taken effect, and update the authorization statement in the training material accordingly."
Constraints at the citation tracing step
The search node returns cited content as an array, and that array can be empty without breaking the downstream path. The minimum relevance value filters low-relevance results only under semantic search or reranking; it does not separate unrelated businesses or unauthorized records. Mixed retrieval results pass through RRF fusion, and reranking applies only when a model is available and the setting is enabled. Image retrieval paths apply only when image input and matching model capability exist. Linking knowledge bases requires the same vector model, so the first action is to compare vector model identifiers across the selected bases and exclude non-matching ones. The tracing task then compares each cited passage against the source document's subject, object, state and validity range.
In the drill sample, the agreement states a validity end of 31 December 2025. The draft announcement asserts a 2026 renewal authorization. The agreement does not record any 2026 authorization, so that statement is pending verification rather than confirmed. The commission table's "pending review" status is not approval and does not establish that settlement occurred. A retrieval hit supplies source text; it does not execute an authorization decision.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration or check item | Hypothetical drill starting value | Reason and comparison method |
|---|---|---|
| Linked knowledge bases | Knowledge bases containing the leader agreement, commission table, pickup list and community announcement | Compare vector model identifiers across bases; link only matching ones and exclude the rest |
| Search mode | Mixed retrieval | Materials contain both identifiers and natural language; compare semantic recall against full-text recall results |
| Minimum relevance | 0.5 | Hypothetical starting value for this drill; compare returned items at 0.4 and 0.6 and record observations |
| Citation limit | 2000 tokens | Hypothetical starting value for this drill; compare citation completeness at 1500 and 2500 tokens |
| Question optimization | Enabled | In multi-turn follow-up scenarios, compare whether the retrieval query is completed with its subject before and after enabling |
| Result reranking | Enabled per configuration | When candidates are numerous, compare ordering before and after reranking and confirm the model is available |
Three common errors
- Treating the commission table's "pending review" as approval and concluding that commission has been settled. The check input is the commission table text and its settlement status field; compare whether "pending review" and "settled" are mutually exclusive values in the same field; the observable result is that the status remains pending review, and settlement is not supported.
- Treating the draft announcement sentence "has obtained renewal authorization for 2026" as an effective fact. The check input is the draft sentence and the leader agreement text; compare the agreement validity end of 31 December 2025 against the 2026 authorization asserted in the draft; the observable result is that the agreement records no 2026 authorization, so the item remains pending verification.
- Treating a retrieval hit as executed authorization. The check input is the search node's citation array and the authorization request; compare the cited content against the authorization boundary; the observable result is that the citation supplies source text only, the authorization state still requires manual verification, and no execution has occurred.
How to verify the setup
- Input the leader agreement text, the commission table text and the draft community announcement sentence from the hypothetical sample. Compare the agreement validity period against the authorization period asserted in the draft. Observe whether the cited content maps item by item to the source text. The 2026 authorization asserted in the draft is not recorded in the agreement and is judged pending verification.
- Input the request "Please confirm whether this leader's 2026 renewal authorization has taken effect." Compare the authorization described in the request against the agreement's signing and effective clauses. Observe whether signing, cooperation formation and contract effectiveness are conflated. The agreement records only that it takes effect on signing and remains valid through 31 December 2025; the 2026 authorization is not supported.
- Input the paper-level empty array [] and check the downstream handling design. Compare whether the downstream path still runs when the search node output length is zero, and observe whether the output path continues. Do not claim that a fictional rule search necessarily returns [].
The linked knowledge bases must share the same vector model; compare identifiers first, exclude non-matching bases, and record actual observations. The minimum relevance threshold does not perform permission or entity isolation. Retrieval output does not constitute authorization, and a form value does not complete business verification, approval, a database write or external synchronization. The empty citation array is a documented output condition, not evidence that a workflow has failed.
