Regional dealer stock: HTTP integrations for operating reviews

Review HTTP integrations for operating reviews in Regional dealer stock. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

Regional dealer stock replenishment runs on daily rolling orders rather than seasonal centralized ordering. The working materials are replenishment applications, inventory turnover sheets, outbound notes and payment collection plans. Data arrives from dealer ERP systems, brand ordering systems, warehouse inventory and sales receipts, with weekly or monthly update cycles. For operating reviews and exception retrospectives, the task is to align fields in these documents with values returned by external systems, one field at a time.

This page addresses one step only: the HTTP integration that carries replenishment review data to and from an external system. The HTTP module sends a request to a configured address. Params, Headers and Body each accept {{}} references to global variables, system variables or upstream node outputs, and the URL itself can also reference variables. Return values are extracted through JSON path expressions. When the output type is set to string, the value at the corresponding key is converted to a JSON string. Two system variables, chatId and responseChatItemId, do not exist in test mode, so empty values seen during debugging are a known condition of that mode rather than a business fault.

Constraints at the HTTP integrations step

A hypothetical drill sample is used below. No real customer, company or identity record is involved.

Material under review, quoted as the replenishment application text: "Applicant: East China Region 1 dealer; replenishment object: Model A; requested quantity: 200 units; application date: 10 March 2025; authorization status is pending review by the brand channel manager."

Draft sentence to be judged: "This replenishment application has been approved and outbound arrangement may proceed."

The comparison is between the authorization status field in the application text and the approval wording in the draft sentence. The source text records only pending review. The draft sentence asserts approval. The approval conclusion is not supported by the material, and the evidence gap stays open. Pending review does not demonstrate the absence of operating authority, and it does not constitute approval. A signature, a reached cooperation and an effective contract are three distinct facts; none of them can be inferred from a pending status.

The same discipline applies to interface work. A value extracted through JSON path is a returned value, not a verified business fact. It must be compared field by field against the corresponding field in the replenishment application, the inventory turnover sheet, the outbound note or the payment collection plan before it enters a review report. Retrieval and similarity scoring do not perform authorization or entity isolation. A relevance score is not a category, entity or permission filter, and it does not exclude unrelated businesses or unauthorized records. Retrieval is not authorization.

Configuration and implementation checks

The table below records the assumed starting points for this drill. These are settings for the hypothetical test, not official defaults.

Configuration itemAssumed starting point for this drillReason and comparison method
Request addressThe replenishment query address given in the external system documentationEnter it as documented and compare character by character against the documented address
Request methodPOSTCompare against the method declared in the interface documentation; if they differ, check the documentation
Headers authenticationAuthorization referencing an injected credential variableCompare against the external system credential configuration; credentials are not written into public samples
Body structureJSON containing applicant, object, quantity and date fieldsCompare field by field against the replenishment application text
Return value extractionJSON path expression for the authorization status fieldCompare against the authorization status in the source text and record whether they agree
Output typeStringCompare against the format required by the downstream text processing step

Forms collect values. Business verification, approval, database writes and external synchronization require their own downstream implementation and are not produced by the HTTP node itself. The optional paths shown in a general workflow diagram do not all execute on every request: image retrieval requires a corresponding image input and model capability, and reranking requires a model that is enabled according to its settings. Libraries built on different vector models cannot be associated together; check the identifiers first, exclude the non-matching ones, and record what is actually observed.

Three common errors

  1. Writing "approved" when the replenishment application text records "pending review." The input is the application text, the comparison object is the authorization status field, and the observable result is that the draft sentence contains an approval statement with no supporting basis in the source. The correct outcome is to mark the approval conclusion as unsupported and keep the evidence gap.
  2. Treating an empty chatId or responseChatItemId in test mode as a business failure. The input is a request made in test mode, the comparison object is the system variable description, and the observable result is that the investigation is directed away from the interface contract. The correct outcome is to record the empty value as a known condition of test mode.
  3. Treating a JSON path extracted value as an already verified business fact. The input is the interface return value, the comparison object is the corresponding field in the replenishment application text, and the observable result is that a report figure disagrees with the document without being noticed. The correct outcome is to list the differences field by field and mark undocumented items as pending verification.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the hypothetical replenishment application text and the draft sentence given above. Compare the authorization status "pending review" in the source against "has been approved" in the draft. The expected observation is that the approval conclusion is identified as unsupported and the evidence gap is preserved. This is an expected outcome, not a completed test.
  2. Input a request made in test mode. Compare the presence of chatId and responseChatItemId against the system variable description. The expected observation is that the empty values are classified as a known condition of test mode and are not listed as a business failure.
  3. Input the interface return value together with the replenishment application text. Compare each extracted field against the corresponding field in the source. The expected observation is a field-by-field list of differences, with undocumented items marked as pending verification. Where a downstream step consumes an empty result, use an explicit paper input of [] to check that downstream design; do not assert that a fictional retrieval rule necessarily returns an empty array.

No test, deployment, approval, refund or other business action is claimed to have occurred. Where the supplied documents do not state an error code or an observed result, the comparison method and the remaining unknown are recorded rather than a deterministic failure cause.
