What the documents look like
Omnichannel stock transfers track goods moving between stores and warehouses. They do not handle marketing outreach, which separates this category from member and private-domain operations. The operating review draws on four source systems: ERP inventory, store POS, e-commerce orders, and WMS. The working documents are transfer requests, inventory snapshots, store shortage lists, and transfer logistics notes.
The review has to reconcile subject, object, and period across these four materials. A transfer request records intent. A snapshot records quantity at a point in time. A shortage list records a store-side gap. A logistics note records in-transit status. The field definitions differ between them, and a missing material leaves the review at pending verification. The remaining three cannot be used to infer the missing conclusion.
Update frequency is given as daily and weekly. This page does not need that cadence to function, so it is noted and set aside.
Constraints at the database operations step
Database and operations work separates business source data storage from the vector retrieval backend, and checks connections against the actual deployment. Backup and recovery are verified as two distinct steps: generating the backup, and actually restoring it. A checkable sample is retained. After any database or service configuration change, the same business sample is rechecked. Process liveness alone does not satisfy that recheck.
Retrieval association is limited by the same-vector-model condition. Libraries built on different vector models cannot be associated together. A relevance score does not carry permission or entity isolation duties, and a retrieval result does not constitute authorization. Forms collect field values. Business verification, approval, database writes, and external synchronization each require their own downstream implementation.
Hypothetical drill sample. The source text for checking is: "Transfer request A-01, subject is a store in the East China region, object is item SKU-100, requested quantity 30 units, request date 2024-03-04, status pending review." "Inventory snapshot S-01, subject is a store in the East China region, object is item SKU-100, snapshot quantity 30 units, snapshot time 2024-03-04." "Store shortage list Q-01, subject is a store in the East China region, object is item SKU-100, shortage quantity 30 units, list date 2024-03-04." The draft sentence to be judged is: "The store has completed transfer receipt for this item, and stock has been replenished." The fields needed to judge it are the transfer receipt status and the arrival-and-inbound record. Neither is stated in the two source texts, so the sentence is unsupported.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration item | Use on this page | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| Business database connection | Stores transfer requests, snapshots, shortage lists, logistics notes | Check the connection configuration against the deployment plan; do not infer from the name |
| Log database connection | Stores operation and status records needed for review | When unset, reuse the main database as documented, and check the actual target |
| Vector retrieval backend connection | Retrieves historical transfer and exception records | Separate business source data from the vector backend; check against the actual deployment |
| Connection pool maximum links | Connection ceiling for report and review queries | Observe connections, errors, and latency under your own load; do not copy an untested threshold |
| Log level | Visibility of operation records needed for review | Check against the documented level values; do not infer behavior beyond them |
| Backup and recovery | Recoverability of report data | Verify backup generation and actual restore separately; retain the sample and record |
Hypothetical trial starting value for this exercise: set the connection pool maximum links to 20, on the reasoning that low concurrency makes connection occupancy easier to observe. Compare it against the documented automatic range and against your own load observations. This is not an official default.
Three common errors
- Treating pending review as approved. In the sample, transfer request A-01 has status pending review. If a draft states "transfer receipt completed," the input is the request status field, and the comparison object is the inbound record. The conclusion holds only when an inbound record exists with the same subject, same object, and same period, and its status field states completed. No such record exists here, so the statement is unsupported.
- Using a relevance score in place of a permission decision. The input is the relevance value returned by retrieval, and the comparison object is the authorization field. A record enters the review only when the authorization field explicitly permits that subject to access it. A high or low score does not justify excluding unrelated business records or unauthorized records.
- Associating libraries across different vector models. The input is the vector model identifier of each library, and the comparison object is whether the identifiers match. When they do not match, exclude that library. Do not run a cross-model retrieval to compare missed recalls.
How to verify the setup
- For the sample draft sentence "The store has completed transfer receipt for this item, and stock has been replenished," the input is the three source texts: request A-01, snapshot S-01, and shortage list Q-01. The comparison object is whether an arrival-and-inbound record exists with the same subject, same object, and same period. The sentence is satisfied only when that record exists and its status field states completed. None of the three source texts states that field, so the conclusion is unsupported.
- For the retrieval check, the input is one query for historical transfer records. The comparison object is the subject identifier and authorization field of each returned record. A record enters the review only when its subject identifier falls within the authorized scope. When the result is empty, check the downstream design using an explicit paper input of an empty list. Do not assert that a fabricated rule makes retrieval return empty.
- For the post-change recheck, the input is the same business sample before and after the change. The comparison object is the value of the same field. The recheck is satisfied only when the values match or the difference has an explicit record. Process liveness does not serve as the basis for the recheck.
