What the documents look like
After-sales repair and reship work aims to restore a product to use. Cases close through completed repair or a reshipped part; direct refunds follow a separate path. The main data sources are the after-sales system, the order system, repair sites, and the parts warehouse WMS. Daily documents include repair requests, reship orders, inspection reports, and parts outbound orders. Updates occur per case and daily. Operating reports and exception reviews need case-by-case checks of document status, and daily summaries serve as reference only.
A repair request and a reship order are different objects. An inspection report and a parts outbound order belong to different stages. These four document types cannot substitute for one another in a report. At the database operations step, the objects under review are the actual records of these documents in the storage and query path. A configuration value cannot be inferred from its name.
Constraints at the database operations step
Hypothetical drill sample: after-sales system records show a brand after-sales site as the entity, repair request W-01 for order A as the object, and a status of "inspection complete, awaiting reship," with a validity range of 1 March 2025 to 31 March 2025. The parts warehouse WMS shows reship order B-02 generated and not yet outbound. Proposed determination sentence: "Order A has completed the reship."
The review boundary for this sample is as follows. Repair request W-01 has the status awaiting reship. Reship order B-02 is generated and not outbound. The two records have different objects and different status fields. The proposed determination sentence writes the generated state of the reship order as a completed state, and it lacks an outbound record and a customer confirmation record. The database operations step needs to preserve the original fields of both documents, join report queries by case number, and compare status fields during exception review. Values collected by retrieval or forms are inputs only. Business authorization and outbound execution require downstream system implementation, and configuration items do not perform authorization decisions.
Configuration and implementation checks
The table below lists review items for this hypothetical trial. The values are hypothetical starting points, with the reason for each choice and the comparison object stated. They are not official default values.
| Review item | Hypothetical starting point | Reason and comparison object |
|---|---|---|
| MONGODB_URI | Points to the main business database address for this drill | Compare with the actual connection address used by the after-sales and order systems |
| REDIS_URL | Points to the cache address for this drill | Compare with the cache address given in the deployment plan |
| DBMAXLINK | Hypothetically set to 10 | Documentation states automatic limitation to 10–1000; compare with observed connection counts under own load |
| SYNC_INDEX | Hypothetically kept at true | Compare with index creation records in the startup log |
| LOGENABLEOTEL | Hypothetically set to false | Compare with the deployment decision on whether log reporting is needed |
| TRACINGOTELSAMPLE_RATIO | Hypothetically set to 0.1 | Documentation states a range of 0 to 1; compare with sampling needs |
After a configuration change, restart the service and re-query the same business sample.
Three common errors
- Treating the generated state of reship order B-02 as completed outbound. The input is the B-02 record; the comparison is between "generated" and "outbound"; the observable result is that the two differ and the proposed determination sentence does not hold.
- Reading the awaiting-reship status of repair request W-01 as closed. The input is the W-01 status field; the comparison object is the records required for closure; the observable result is that the outbound record and the confirmation record are absent.
- Treating a document returned by retrieval as an authorization credential. The input is the query result; the comparison object is the authorization boundary; the observable result is that the query result contains no authorization field and cannot serve as an execution basis.
How to verify the setup
- Input the original text of repair request W-01 and the original text of reship order B-02. Compare the case number, object, and status fields of the two documents. The condition is met when the fields correspond item by item and the status has not been rewritten.
- Input the proposed determination sentence "Order A has completed the reship." Compare it with the outbound record of B-02. The condition is met when an outbound record exists and a customer confirmation record exists; a generation record alone does not meet it.
- Input the empty-result continuation scenario, using the paper input [] to check the downstream design. The condition is met when the downstream handles the empty result and does not trigger an execution action. Whether an actual retrieval returns empty must be based on observation and is not guaranteed.
Fields not provided remain unknown. A pending review status does not indicate a lack of permission. Signing, reaching cooperation, and contract effectiveness are three distinct facts.
