Franchise filing management: HTTP integrations for operating reviews

Review HTTP integrations for operating reviews in Franchise filing management. Check input mappings, source evidence and failure handling before use.

What the documents look like

Franchise filing management centers on legal disclosure and the commerce department system, not on site engineering for individual outlets. The working materials are franchise contracts, operations manuals, filing submissions, and information disclosure documents. Source records include the commercial franchise information management system, enterprise licenses, store lists, and contract ledgers. Filing conditions such as the two-outlet one-year requirement are checked against these records. Updates are irregular or annual; this page does not depend on that cadence and does not describe a synchronization mechanism.

For operating reports and exception review, the practical need is to consolidate contract ledger status, store list entries, and filing material status into records that can be compared line by line. The HTTP module carries requests to and from external systems. It does not decide whether a filing condition is met, whether a disclosure obligation was performed, or whether an authorization exists.

Constraints at the HTTP integrations step

The HTTP module sends a request to a configured address. Params are path request parameters, Body is the request body, and Headers are request headers. All three can reference variables through {{}}. Variables come from global variables, system variables, or the output of preceding nodes. The URL can also reference variables. Return values are extracted by configuring keys with JSON path syntax; when the output type is set to string, the value at the corresponding key is converted to a JSON string.

Among the system variables, chatId and responseChatItemId do not exist in test mode. Empty values for these two during debugging are a documented condition, not a business fault. The chat interface uses APIKey authentication. When calling chat/completions, passing body.appId in the request body is recommended. The appId priority order is body.appId, then <apiKey>-<appId>, then the appId associated with the apikey. With detail=true, intermediate values are returned; in non-stream mode the result is held in responseData, and in stream mode it is distinguished by event. Retrieval or a form collects values. Business verification, approval, database writes, and external synchronization each require their own downstream implementation.

Hypothetical paper exercise sample: a franchise headquarters legal reviewer prepares an annual review and holds a paper record reading, "Franchisee A submitted one store list during the filing year; the contract ledger shows the contract status as signed; no receipt for the information disclosure document is present." The draft sentence to be judged is, "Franchisee A has completed the filing information update." This sample checks whether the draft sentence goes beyond the status the material records. It involves no real party or identifier.

Configuration and implementation checks

The configuration below is tied to the sample above. Entries are documented settings or implementation checks, not defaults.

Configuration itemAssumed trial starting pointReason and comparison method
Request address and methodAddress and method given by the external system documentationThe address can reference variables; check each item against the external interface contract
Headers authenticationAuthorization header carries credentials injected by security configurationKeep separate from public samples; check whether the injected value matches the target system
Body structureEnabled only under the corresponding request type, filled as a JSON structureCompare field names and levels against the external interface contract
Variable referenceReference global variables, system variables, or preceding node outputCheck each actual passed value; an empty chatId in test mode is a documented condition
Return value extractionConfigure keys with JSON path syntaxCompare extraction path and output type against the interface response example
Status checkManually compare the status in the material against the draft sentenceA contradiction requires the same subject, same period, and same field

Three common errors

  1. Treating "signed" in the contract ledger as a completed filing information update. The input is the ledger status field; the comparison object is the filing material receipt. When the receipt is absent, the draft sentence is unsupported and completion cannot be asserted.
  2. Treating empty chatId and responseChatItemId in test mode as a business failure. The input is a debug request; the comparison object is the documented test-mode condition. Empty values are a known situation and do not constitute an anomaly.
  3. Reading a similarity score returned by retrieval as a permission or entity filter result. The input is the score and similarity fields; the comparison object is the authorization boundary. A score does not exclude unrelated business or unauthorized records, and retrieval does not constitute authorization.

How to verify the setup

  1. For the sample text "the contract ledger shows the contract status as signed; no receipt for the information disclosure document is present" and the draft sentence "Franchisee A has completed the filing information update," the input is these two passages. The comparison object is the field recorded in the material against the assertion in the draft sentence. The draft sentence is satisfied only when supporting material such as a receipt states, for the same subject, same period, and same field, that the update is complete. The current material supports only that the contract is signed; the draft sentence is unsupported.
  2. For the request configuration, the input is the address, method, and Body filled in per the external documentation. The comparison object is the external interface contract. The condition is satisfied only when field names, levels, and request type match. An empty chatId in test mode is handled per the documentation and is not recorded as a failure.
  3. For return value extraction, the input is the interface response and the configured keys. The comparison object is the JSON path extraction result and the output type. The condition is satisfied only when the extracted value matches the corresponding path in the response example. For an empty result, a downstream design can be checked against an explicit paper input of []; this does not assert that a fictional rule retrieval necessarily returns empty.

Across all three checks, a pending request is not an approval, an offered option is not execution, and an unsigned termination is not a completed termination. Where a field is not provided, the value remains unknown.
