Store cold-chain receiving: workflow routing for multilingual work

Review workflow routing for multilingual work in Store cold-chain receiving. Check sources, input boundaries, error handling and repeatable test evidence.

What the documents look like

Store cold-chain receiving runs batch by batch. The working materials are cold-chain temperature records, arrival acceptance sheets, rejection notes and supplier delivery notes. Data arrives from vehicle temperature control, the WMS, the store receiving system and quality-inspection photos. In cross-border and multilingual settings these materials reach the retrieval scope in different languages and formats, so workflow routing must first confirm which batch, which store and which status a document belongs to before deciding the next step.

Compared with fruit purchasing, cold-chain receiving tracks transport temperature and arrival batch, and origin price inquiry sits outside this step. Material updates follow a per-batch and daily rhythm, which means routing cannot assume that one input covers every batch. Each batch needs its own correspondence to the acceptance object.

Constraints at the workflow routing step

The Form Input node is a user-interaction node. When it triggers, the conversation enters an interaction state, the workflow state is recorded, and execution continues after the user completes the interaction. It collects required information and passes the submitted values to later nodes. The User Selection node is also a user-interaction node. When the user makes a choice, the node evaluates that choice and runs the corresponding "yes" branch. Both nodes record workflow state and wait for the user to finish before continuing.

Routing must verify branch connections one by one and confirm that collected values are explicitly passed to later retrieval, judgement or interface nodes. Order writing, document backfill and external status synchronization require a separate business interface or a later process. The interaction nodes do not perform those business actions. A retrieval result does not constitute authorization, and a collected form value does not represent approval.

Libraries built on different vector models cannot be associated together. The model identifier must be checked first and non-matching libraries excluded. Cross-model retrieval must not be run to compare missed recall. Image retrieval requires a corresponding image input and model capability. Reranking requires a model and must be enabled according to its setting. Optional paths listed in the documentation do not mean every request executes all of them. An empty-result handoff can be checked against a clearly written paper input to confirm downstream design; it cannot be claimed that a fictional rule retrieval necessarily returns empty.

Hypothetical paper exercise: a batch of chilled beef shipped from overseas. The vehicle cold-chain temperature record states: "The transport temperature record range for this trip was 0°C to 4°C, from 2025-03-10 08:00 to 2025-03-11 06:00; the carrier was a cold-chain transport company; the receiving store was a fresh-food store." The arrival acceptance sheet states: "Arrival batch number B-20250311-07, acceptance status pending quality inspection, acceptance quantity 120 boxes." A proposed sentence reads: "The temperature record for this batch has been confirmed as qualified by the quality inspector and is allowed for direct putaway." The question is whether that proposed sentence is supported by the source text.

Configuration and implementation checks

The table below uses the exercise above and lists documented settings or implementation checks tied to this feature and the primary task. The values are hypothetical starting points for this paper comparison only and are not official defaults.

Configuration itemHypothetical starting pointReason and comparison method
Form Input required fieldsBatch number, store, document languageThe sample contains batch number B-20250311-07 and a store; a missing field leaves later nodes without a correspondence
User Selection branchComplete documents go to the retrieval branch; missing documents go to the supplement branchThe sample holds a temperature record and an acceptance sheet; check each item before choosing the branch
Interaction state checkRecorded state produced by the interaction node's behaviourNo separate global state-recording switch is set; check whether the conversation enters the interaction state after the node triggers
Output handoff checkForm values passed to later retrieval or judgement nodesCompare output against input item by item and confirm batch number and store pass through consistently
External action splitPutaway writing attaches to a separate business interfaceThe interaction node does not perform putaway; check whether a later process is declared
Retrieval scope checkRetrieval within libraries of the same vector modelCheck the identifier first, exclude cross-model libraries, and do not run cross-model retrieval to compare missed recall

Three common errors

  1. Treating "confirmed as qualified by the quality inspector" in the proposed sentence as a fact that occurred. The sample acceptance sheet states only that acceptance status is pending quality inspection, and the temperature record does not state quality-inspector confirmation. The wording is unsupported and must be recorded as pending verification.
  2. Treating form submission as putaway authorization. The form collects batch number and store and passes them to later nodes; putaway writing requires a separate business interface. The submission action does not constitute approval or execution.
  3. Treating a retrieval result as a permission filter. A relevance score does not carry entity isolation or authorization judgement. Libraries on different vector models cannot be associated together; the identifier must be checked first and non-matching libraries excluded.

How to verify the setup

  1. Enter the sample temperature record text and acceptance sheet text, then compare the proposed sentence "The temperature record for this batch has been confirmed as qualified by the quality inspector and is allowed for direct putaway" against the source text. The source states only the temperature range, time window, carrier, store, batch number, pending-inspection status and quantity. The expected conclusion is that both quality-inspector confirmation and putaway permission are unsupported and remain pending verification.
  2. Enter the sample batch number B-20250311-07 and the store information, then compare whether the form output passes completely to later retrieval or judgement nodes. The expected observation is that later nodes can read the same batch number and store. If the output is missing, check the required fields and branch connections.
  3. Enter the paper empty result [] and compare whether the downstream node handles it according to the empty-result handoff design. The expected observation is that downstream does not produce fabricated hits. If downstream still outputs specific records, check the retrieval scope and the handoff logic. All three checks are paper comparisons; no live test is claimed.
