Creator commission settlement: citation tracing for multilingual work

Review citation tracing for multilingual work in Creator commission settlement. Check input mappings, source evidence and failure handling before use.

What the documents look like

Commission settlement happens after a sale closes. The objects being checked are valid promotion orders and post-sale commission deductions, and the material comes from the affiliate backend, order after-sales data, the finance system, and creator contracts. In cross-border work, the same commission setting record, settlement statement, refund deduction detail, and invoice may be kept separately in Chinese, English, or another language. Citation tracing answers one question: can every quoted passage in an answer be traced back to a specific document, a specific version, and a specific field. Settlement runs weekly or monthly, and document versions change over time, so a citation must name the version it used.

The knowledge base search node can associate one or more knowledge bases that share the same vector model, and it outputs citations as an array whose length may be zero. An empty array still completes the output path. Semantic retrieval supports cross-language understanding, so a Chinese question can match an English knowledge point, which helps multilingual material. A similarity score only expresses how related the content is; it does not carry permission or entity isolation, and retrieval itself is not authorization. Hybrid retrieval merges multiple result paths through RRF, and reranking is applied according to settings. The minimum relevance value takes effect only in semantic retrieval or when result reranking is used, and it is a filter threshold, not a sorting rule. The citation limit is counted in tokens, which differs from top k.

Constraints at the citation tracing step

A hypothetical paper exercise sample is given here for illustration only. A settlement specialist needs to check an English commission setting record whose text reads: "Commission rate for creator A: 12% of net order value, effective 2025-03-01 to 2025-03-31. Refunded orders are excluded from commission." A Chinese refund deduction detail reads: "Creator A, March 2025, commission on refunded orders has been deducted back." A draft sentence reads: "Creator A's March 2025 commission is settled at 12% of net order value, and refunded orders do not participate in settlement."

The judgment points are these. The subject is creator A in both sources, the period is March 2025 in both, and the field is the commission calculation basis. The English source explicitly excludes refunded orders, and the Chinese detail states the refunded commission has been deducted back, so the two point in the same direction and the draft sentence is supported. If the draft sentence instead reads "Creator A's March 2025 commission has been settled and payment completed," the payment status is not stated in the given material, so it is unsupported and requires separate verification against finance payment records.

Several conditions follow. The associated knowledge bases must share the same vector model before they can be linked together; this requirement applies to the knowledge base association and does not extend to business registration sites or other external systems. The search node output is a citation array that may be empty, and an empty array does not mean the workflow has errored or stopped. The citation limit is measured in tokens, and it is not a thinking budget. The minimum relevance value is a filter threshold only under semantic retrieval or reranking. RRF is a merge process for hybrid results, not a switch that is turned on. Whether image retrieval or reranking runs depends on the request having the relevant input and the model having the relevant capability, and the optional paths in the overall flow diagram are not all executed on every request.

Configuration and implementation checks

Configuration itemHypothetical trial starting point for this pageReason and comparison object
Associated knowledge basesSelect only the commission settlement knowledge base with the same vector modelCompare knowledge base vector model identifiers and exclude those that differ
Search modeHybrid retrievalCompare with pure semantic retrieval, since numbers and proper nouns need full-text hits
Minimum relevanceTentatively set to 0.4Compare with the value shown in the configuration dialog, and observe whether low-relevance fragments are filtered
Citation limitTentatively set to 3000 tokensCompare with the length of a single statement, to avoid cutting off a whole passage
Result rerankingEnabled according to settingsCompare with the disabled state, and observe ordering changes when candidates are numerous
Question optimizationEnabled for multi-turn follow-upCompare with the disabled state, and observe retrieval differences after reference completion

The values above are hypothetical trial starting points for this page, not official defaults. They should be compared with the values actually shown in the configuration dialog before any adjustment.

Three common errors

  1. Treating a similarity score as a permission or entity filter, and assuming a high-scoring result necessarily belongs to a creator record the current operator is allowed to view. Check: input the same question, compare the returned citations with the manually confirmed accessible scope, and observe whether any unauthorized record appears.
  2. Treating retrieval output directly as a settlement conclusion, and ignoring that the citation array may be empty. Check: use a paper input of an empty array to review the downstream answer design, and observe whether an empty result is misread as no commission.
  3. Associating knowledge bases with different vector models together and assuming retrieval still works normally. Check: verify each knowledge base vector model identifier, exclude those that do not match, and record the actual observation without inferring missed recall or redundant results.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the English commission setting record and the Chinese refund deduction detail given above, compare the subject, period, and field of the draft sentence against both source texts, and observe whether the citations point to these two source texts and whether the draft sentence is supported.
  2. Input the draft sentence "Creator A's March 2025 commission has been settled and payment completed," compare this sentence with the given material, and observe whether the system marks the payment status as unsupported while preserving the evidence gap.
  3. Input a query unrelated to commission, compare the returned citations with the question topic, and observe whether an empty array or unrelated content is returned; record the actual observation without presupposing a necessary result.

When handing over operations, the authorization state of materials, actions, and requests must be kept distinct from retrieval or form submission. Retrieval does not grant authorization, and a pending request is not an approval. A signed termination that is unsigned is not a completed termination. Where the material does not state a payment status, that gap remains open rather than being resolved by inference.
