What the documents look like
Central chain procurement and distribution centers on headquarters purchasing and delivery, not on store display checks. The working document set includes centralized procurement contracts, replenishment plans, delivery notes, and store requisition forms. Data arrives from ERP purchasing, WMS, store POS, and supplier delivery records, with daily or weekly update frequency.
For workflow routing in cross-border material handling and multilingual retrieval, this means the workflow operates over a multi-source, multi-party document collection. Retrieval and handover must be anchored to a specific document, a specific party, and a specific state. A retrieval hit is not an authorization conclusion. In cross-border settings, documents may contain fields in more than one language, and retrieval scope and document language need separate verification.
Constraints at the workflow routing step
The Form Input node is a user interaction node. When triggered, the conversation enters an interaction state, the workflow state is recorded, and the workflow continues after the user completes the interaction. The node collects required information the user fills in and passes it to subsequent nodes. The User Selection node is also a user interaction node. When the user makes a selection, the node evaluates that selection and executes the corresponding "yes" branch. Branch connections need to be verified one by one. Interaction state is recorded by the interaction nodes; no separate global state-recording switch is documented. Collected information must be explicitly passed to subsequent retrieval, judgment, or interface nodes, and outputs must be compared item by item against inputs. Order writing, document backfill, and external status synchronization require a separate business interface or downstream flow. Retrieval itself does not carry authorization execution.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample: A chain supply chain center receives a draft supplier centralized procurement contract. The source text reads: "Party A: a chain supply chain center; Party B: a food supplier; Contract subject matter: Q3 2025 centralized procurement of biscuit products; Contract status is pending signature; Quote validity until August 31, 2025." A proposed draft sentence reads: "The contract is already effective, delivery can be arranged." The question to decide is whether the proposed sentence is consistent with the source text.
Configuration and implementation checks
The table below lists, for the sample above, documented settings or implementation check items relevant to this feature and the primary task. The values are hypothetical starting points for this exercise only, used to explain the comparison method. They are not official default values.
| Configuration item | Hypothetical starting point for this exercise | Verification method |
|---|---|---|
| Form Input node required fields | Contract parties, contract status, quote validity | After submission, check whether the fields passed to subsequent nodes are complete |
| User Selection node branch | "Yes" branch connected to a retrieval node | Verify branch connections one by one; confirm the corresponding branch executes after selection |
| Interaction state recording | Recorded by the interaction node | Check whether the conversation enters the interaction state after triggering |
| Output handover | Collected information passed to the retrieval node | Compare retrieval input against form output item by item |
| External operation division | Delivery arrangement connected to a separate business interface | Confirm the retrieval node does not perform order writing or status synchronization |
| Retrieval scope | Document library containing the contract source text | Check whether the target document is within the accessible retrieval scope |
Three common errors
- Treating a retrieval hit as authorized execution. Retrieval returning the contract source text does not mean the contract is effective or that delivery has been approved. Check input: the retrieval result. Compare: the contract status field in the source text. Observable result: if the status is "pending signature," the proposed sentence "already effective" does not hold.
- Treating pending signature as already effective. The sample source text states "Contract status is pending signature," while the proposed sentence says "The contract is already effective." Check input: the source text status field. Compare: the proposed sentence against the source text value for the same field. Observable result: the two values are mutually exclusive, so the proposed sentence is a contradiction.
- Treating quote validity as a supply period. The sample source text "Quote validity until August 31, 2025" states only the valid range of the quote. It does not indicate a supply period. Check input: the source text validity field. Compare: whether the proposed sentence extends that field into a supply period. Observable result: the source text does not state a supply period, and that part of the proposed sentence is unsupported.
How to verify the setup
- Verification one: Input the sample source text and the proposed sentence "The contract is already effective, delivery can be arranged." Compare the source text contract status field "pending signature" with the proposed sentence "already effective." If the two values are mutually exclusive, the proposed sentence is a contradiction. Expected result: the proposed sentence does not hold.
- Verification two: Input the sample source text "Quote validity until August 31, 2025" and the proposed sentence "Supply period until August 31, 2025." Compare the source text validity field with the proposed sentence supply period field. The source text does not state a supply period. Expected result: the proposed sentence is unsupported, and the evidence gap is recorded.
- Verification three: Input the empty-result paper sample [] and check whether the downstream design treats the empty result as a pending-verification state. Compare the retrieval output with the downstream node input. Expected result: the downstream does not treat the empty result as a negative conclusion, and records it as pending verification.
These verifications are paper exercises. They were not actually executed and do not constitute confirmation of any real contract, delivery, or authorization.
