Peak-sale fulfillment: upgrades for operations handover

Review upgrades for operations handover in Peak-sale fulfillment. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

Peak-sale warehouse and delivery scheduling turns on short-lived peak capacity and on the coordination of people, vehicles and dock space. The working materials are the peak-sale forecast sheet, staff shift rota, courier assurance plan and exception daily report. These materials are refreshed per event and per day. The upgrades step does not consume their business content; it consumes their authorization state at the moment of handover.

Operations permission and handover management is about the state of each item: which handover material, operation request or approval action is in what condition. A shift rota that has been submitted but not approved does not constitute an execution authorization. An assurance plan that has been signed but has not taken effect does not constitute a capacity commitment. At the upgrades step the current version and the target version must be confirmed, and the manual-trigger scripts named in the upgrade notes must be checked against their stated preconditions.

Constraints at the upgrades step

Hypothetical paper exercise. A warehouse performs a system upgrade handover before a peak-sale event. The handover material reads as follows:

"Peak-sale forecast sheet (number: HCP-2026-001) was submitted by the warehouse manager on 10 April 2026, status pending review. Staff shift rota (number: PS-2026-004) was submitted by the dispatcher on 11 April 2026, status approved. Courier assurance plan (number: KD-2026-002) was submitted by the courier business contact on 9 April 2026, status pending review."

Proposed draft sentence to be judged: "The courier assurance plan has been approved and can be executed."

This draft sentence does not match the source. The source states that the courier assurance plan is pending review; approval has not been recorded. The judgment requires the same subject, the same period and the same field. A pending-review state does not show that an operating permission is absent; it shows that the approval step has not been completed.

Two further boundaries follow from the same material. The staff shift rota carries an approved status, and approval is an approval-node action; it is not an execution record, and it is not evidence that the rota was carried out. The forecast sheet carries a submitted status, and submission is delivery of material; it is not an effective authorization clause. Where an execution authorization record or an effective authorization clause is not present in the material, that gap stays a gap and is recorded as pending verification.

The upgrade notes for V4.17.2 name two manual-trigger scripts: the historical chunk training task migration and the dataset rebuild status migration. Both are described as manual-trigger tasks that do not block service startup. The second depends on the first being complete. The stated precondition for the first is that all old-version FastGPT App and Pro instances in the cluster have fully stopped and old task leases have expired before execution is triggered. Whether that precondition holds is a fact to be compared against the cluster state, not something the script list itself supplies.

Configuration and implementation checks

The rows below relate to this page's upgrade handover check. The hypothetical starting values are used only for this paper exercise and are not official defaults.

Configuration itemHypothetical starting valueCheck method
AIPROXYAPIENDPOINThttp://aiproxy:3000 for this exerciseCheck whether /v1 has been appended or a single-model address substituted; compare against the upgrade requirement that AI Proxy is a mandatory dependency from V4.17.0
AIPROXYAPITOKENA non-empty string for this exerciseCheck consistency with the AI Proxy server configuration; an empty value fails startup validation
FE_DOMAINhttp://localhost:3000 for this exerciseCheck that protocol, host and optional port are complete; used to complete file and image resource paths
FILETOKENKEYA random string of at least 6 characters for this exerciseCheck that the runtime required field is present and that no example value is used
AES256SECRETKEYA random string of at least 6 characters for this exerciseCheck that the runtime required field is present and that no example value is used
INVOKETOKENSECRETA random string of at least 32 characters for this exerciseCheck that the runtime required field is present and that no example value is used

Three common errors

  1. Treating a pending-review state as approved. Input: the courier assurance plan field "status pending review" in the exercise material. Comparison: the draft sentence "has been approved". Observable result: the status fields disagree, and the draft sentence is not supported by the source.
  2. Treating an approved state as executed. Input: the staff shift rota field "status approved". Comparison: whether a corresponding execution record exists. Observable result: approval and execution are separate facts; where the execution record is absent, the item is recorded as pending verification.
  3. Treating a submission action as an effective authorization. Input: the forecast sheet field "submitted". Comparison: whether an effective authorization clause exists. Observable result: submission shows only that material was delivered; an effective authorization requires a separate system implementation or a completed manual approval.

How to verify the setup

  1. Compare the draft sentence against the exercise source. Input: the courier assurance plan source text "status pending review". Comparison: the draft sentence "has been approved and can be executed". Observable result: the two status fields disagree and the draft sentence does not hold. Expected observation: the check record shows a status-field conflict.
  2. Check the handover material status fields against the authorization boundary of the operation request. Input: the staff shift rota field "status approved". Comparison: whether a corresponding execution authorization record exists. Observable result: the approved status and the execution authorization are different facts. Expected observation: where the execution authorization record is absent, the item is marked pending verification.
  3. Check the trigger preconditions of the upgrade scripts. Input: the manual-trigger script list in the V4.17.2 upgrade notes. Comparison: whether all old-version instances in the cluster have fully stopped and old task leases have expired. Observable result: whether the stated precondition for the first script is satisfied. Expected observation: where old instances have not stopped, the trigger precondition is not met and the item is recorded as pending verification.
