What the documents look like
For product questions in TikTok Shop US operations, this page examines FastGPT retrieval. Compare the material received with the sources used in the answer. The examples are hypothetical.
Constraints at the retrieval step
A new TikTok Shop Listing test can say, “One charging cable; the adapter in the scene is for display only.” A contents question needs the single-item wording and display qualification together. Compare retrieval modes for literal terms and a question about adapter inclusion, checking whether returned text still separates product and prop. This reads proposed ordinary-text descriptions, without inspecting an actual photograph or establishing what was shipped.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Documented item or implementation check | Material and condition | Evidence action |
|---|---|---|
| Source scope (implementation check) | Separate Listing and return records | Returned contents do not establish the sales configuration. |
| Search modes: semantic, full-text, hybrid | Cable and adapter-inclusion questions | Inspect retention of the display-prop role. |
| Citation token limit | Display-only qualification | Do not retain only the adapter noun. |
| Minimum relevance | Check relevance under semantic or reranking conditions | Accessory wording does not establish device compatibility. |
| Question optimization | Follow-up about a particular device | Preserve the device and product across optimization. |
Documented conditions
| Documented item / implementation check | Condition |
|---|---|
Associated knowledge bases | Knowledge bases associated with one search node must use the same embedding model. |
Search mode | Semantic, full-text and hybrid modes are available. |
Citation limit | Citation limits are measured in tokens. |
Minimum relevance | Range 0–1; active for semantic search or reranking. |
Question optimization | Resolves references and expands questions. |
Three common errors
A separate proposed Return Grading attachment records only that a return includes connection accessories. It names no adapter and supplies no original-order contents. Inspect whether similar accessory terminology causes the return record to be used as a sales configuration, retaining independent Listing and return-source identities. Check token-based citation limits: an isolated adapter term loses its display role. Trace the complete passage rather than combining different business stages into one supposed source. A proposed erroneous answer can claim the order includes an adapter. Inspect whether it cites the display note or the return wording. If neither supplies inclusion evidence, retain the answer beside those originals as an unsupported expansion, without rewriting the Listing configuration to fit it.
How to verify the setup
The available material says nothing about compatibility with a particular device. The cable name and display prop cannot provide a compatibility list. Test whether the answer borrows another item’s compatibility statement, then compare citations after obtaining corresponding specifications. Question optimization should retain the device and this cable without adding connector conditions. Validate relevance filtering under semantic or reranking conditions; a related search hit does not establish verified compatibility.
