Amazon FBA preparation: product questions with hybrid retrieval

Review hybrid retrieval for product questions in Amazon FBA preparation. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

For product questions in Amazon FBA preparation, this page examines FastGPT hybrid retrieval. Compare the material received with the sources used in the answer. The examples are hypothetical.

Constraints at the hybrid retrieval step

The proposed FBA inbound-plan attachment lists smart bracelets, one hundred pieces and a small size category. These support a reading of the supplied stocking description. After marking the original name, quantity and size wording, compare fused candidates with the reranked result for the same item. A size question should not lose its size passage behind a quantity-only candidate. Retain the cited wording instead of expanding “small” into dimensions that the source never supplied.

Three common errors

“Electronic product” in the inbound plan and “fragile item” on the carton label can both be true. They are not automatically opposing evidence. Distinguish product category from handling information and keep both originals traceable. If the label is missing from candidates, inspect its recall first. When both are present, check whether reranking encourages a handling note to be described as a product category or citation trimming leaves a short term without a recognizable source.

How to verify the setup

The existing bracelet plan lacks special-packaging instructions. A “fragile” label cannot create a complete packing procedure. Inspect whether the answer invents specific materials or packing layers, and obtain the relevant instructions from their actual source. Use the same packaging question before and after supplementation, retaining candidates, order and citations to establish where a new requirement came from. Retrieval or reranking scores cannot replace reading the packaging requirement in its original context. Record the missing packaging instructions separately from the available carton label. A handling note does not supply a complete procedure. If added material covers only part of the question, the answer should preserve that limited scope instead of describing a full packing plan.
