What the documents look like
For product questions in Warehouse picking and packing, this page examines FastGPT document chunking. Similar short names for cushioning and support pads need distinct material identities. The examples are hypothetical.
Constraints at the document chunking step
A proposed warehouse material table gives a cushioning pad the short name soft pad and a packaging-protection purpose. A support pad has the short name base pad and supports the finished product underneath. A picking note requires checking the corresponding material name first. A bottom-support question must distinguish packaging from a product component despite shared pad terminology. Parsing should preserve full name, alias and purpose pairs. Blocks containing aliases alone make the natural question ambiguous, and the picking note does not authorize substitution among similarly named materials.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Original or chunk check | Specific source relationship | Evidence action |
|---|---|---|
| Full material names | Cushioning and support pads differ | Check distinct entities. |
| Alias pairing | Each short name has a full name | Check parsed correspondence. |
| Purpose identity | Packaging versus product support | Do not substitute from term similarity. |
| Prerequisite note | Name verification before picking | Keep condition with relevant block. |
| Alias-revision retest | Old alias and new material index | Check processing and targeted original. |
Documented conditions
| Documented item / implementation check | Condition |
|---|---|
Original-document check | Compare original files with parsed output. |
Chunk completeness | Keep conditions traceable to their subjects. |
Data and indexes | Retain original-data and index evidence separately. |
Sample retrieval | Retest literal wording and natural questions. |
Post-update check | Inspect training or index state after updates. |
Three common errors
One common error attaches the cushioning purpose to the support-pad row, changing a finished-product part into packaging. Another separates the material-name check and the answer recommends substitution from word similarity. Compare original rows, parsed pairs and actual blocks to distinguish merged entities from lost prerequisites. Aliases may help retrieval but must still trace to complete original data; an alias hit cannot establish compatibility. The packet supplies neither dimensions nor substitution rules, so the two pads cannot be declared interchangeable merely because a search can find both.
How to verify the setup
Acceptance should query full names, short names and the item supporting the finished product underside. Each returned block should identify material and purpose together. Preserve the difference between support and cushioning and the name check before picking. After adding material or changing an alias, inspect processing and index state before repeating questions, particularly whether an older alias incorrectly targets a new item. Upload success cannot establish updated pairings. Keep original tables beside blocks, and do not present a successful text retrieval as validation of actual warehouse picking.
