Livestream violation appeals: citation tracing for product questions

Review citation tracing for product questions in Livestream violation appeals. Check input mappings, source evidence and failure handling before use.

What the documents look like

Livestream violation appeals address penalties that have already been issued, so the work is a retrospective review of an evidence chain rather than pre-broadcast screening of creators. The main data sources are the platform violation center, livestream recordings, customer service records, and the product qualification library. Routine documents include the violation notice, the livestream recording, product qualification files, and the appeal statement. Locating the violating segment, supplementing evidence, and drafting the appeal reasoning consume the most time. Errors can lead to product broadcast bans, account throttling, and deposit deductions. Material updates are irregular and occur once per violation. This page addresses only citation sources and tracing within product material and selection question answering; retrieval output is citation content, and the retrieval action itself does not constitute authorization.

Constraints at the citation tracing step

The knowledge base search node selects one or more knowledge bases that share the same vector model and outputs a citation array whose length may be zero. Even when nothing is retrieved, the output path still completes. Citation content must be passed to the subsequent answering step, where the answer is checked line by line against the cited source text. Material timeliness requires testing sources with both the current version and historical versions; whether a citation is adopted still depends on review of the effective version. The minimum relevance score is a filtering threshold that takes effect only in semantic retrieval or when result reranking is used, and it does not perform permission or entity isolation. Hybrid retrieval merges multiple result paths through RRF, and RRF is a fusion process rather than a switch. Image retrieval requires image input and model capability, and reranking requires a model and must be enabled through settings. Optional paths shown in the overall document flow diagram do not mean every request executes all of them. Knowledge bases using different vector models cannot be associated together; check identifiers and exclude those that do not match, then record the actual observation.

Hypothetical exercise sample. Source text one: a store received a platform violation notice on March 10, 2025, numbered example A-0310, with violation type of missing product qualification and a penalty of a 7-day product broadcast ban. Source text two: the product qualification file provided by the store is valid from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025, covering the product involved. Source text three: the livestream recording timestamp runs from 20:15 to 20:40 on March 9, 2025, and shows the product involved. Draft sentence to be judged: the store's product qualification was within its validity period at the time of the violation, and the appeal requests revocation of the broadcast ban. The judgment condition is same subject, same period, same field: if the qualification validity period covers the violation date, the draft sentence is supported; if the qualification file does not state a validity period or only shows evidence from a related stage, the result is recorded as unsupported or pending verification.

Configuration and implementation checks

The table below centers on the sample above and lists only officially documented settings or implementation check items relevant to this feature and the primary task. The values are starting points for this hypothetical trial and must be compared against control values.

Configuration itemHypothetical starting point for this trialReason for selection and comparison method
Associated knowledge basesSelect one product qualification libraryCheck the library identifier and vector model identifier, and exclude libraries with different vector models
Search modeHybrid retrievalCompare with a single-path semantic retrieval result to see whether retrieved content covers the qualification source text

Minimum relevanceAssumed 0.5Compare with the citation count when filtering is off, and observe whether low-relevance fragments are filtered out
Question optimizationEnabledCompare with the disabled state to see whether the retrieval terms for a follow-up question have the subject completed
Result rerankingEnabled through settingsCompare with unranked results to check candidate order and whether the qualification source text ranks near the top

Three common errors

  1. Treating retrieval output as authorized execution. Incorrect behavior: once citation content includes the qualification file, the appeal is treated as approved or the penalty as revoked. Check method: input the sample citation array, compare the citation content with the authorization status field, and observe whether an independent approval record exists; when no approval record exists, record it as pending verification.
  2. Treating minimum relevance as an entity or permission filter. Incorrect behavior: assuming that raising the minimum relevance excludes other stores or unauthorized records. Check method: input the same query, compare citation results across different stores, and observe whether unauthorized records are still retrieved; the relevance score does not perform isolation.
  3. Treating an empty citation array as a workflow failure. Incorrect behavior: when citation length is zero, the node is judged abnormal or the flow is judged interrupted. Check method: input a clearly paper-based empty array, compare whether downstream nodes continue to execute, and observe whether the output path completes; an empty array only means no content was cited this time.

How to verify the setup

  1. Using source text one and source text two, input the query "example A-0310 qualification validity period" and compare whether the citation content includes the violation date and the qualification validity range. The expected observation is that the cited source text contains both March 10, 2025 and January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025; if the citation contains only one of them, record it as incomplete citation.
  2. Using the draft sentence to be judged, input the query "does the qualification cover the violation date" and compare the field values of the draft sentence with the cited source text. The expected observation is that under same subject, same period, same field, the qualification validity period covers the violation date and the draft sentence is supported; if the qualification file does not state a validity period, record it as unsupported.
  3. Using source text three, input the query "March 9, 2025 livestream recording" and compare whether the citation content includes the timestamp and the product involved. The expected observation is that the cited source text shows 20:15 to 20:40 and the product description; if the recording does not cover the violating segment, record it as an evidence gap and do not judge it as negative or conflicting.
