Fresh-food concession counters: retrieval for copy drafting

Review retrieval for copy drafting in Fresh-food concession counters. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

A hypermarket fresh-food concession counter is frequently operated on site by a supplier, with settlement based on a sales share. That operating relationship defines the boundary of what may be used when drafting product and marketing copy. Four document families recur: the concession contract, the daily sales report, the shrinkage record, and the food inbound inspection record. They originate from the hypermarket fresh-food department, the concession supplier, and the store manager respectively. Any outward-facing sentence that cites sales figures, shrinkage ratios, or inspection conclusions must be traced back to the corresponding file and checked for the responsible party, the period, and the specific field. Updates arrive daily or per batch, so retrieval works against a same-day or same-batch scope; a citation that crosses days or batches requires the applicable range to be reconfirmed.

The minimum search unit is the knowledge base, and a collection serves only as a classification layer with no effect on search results. A knowledge base search node may associate one or more knowledge bases that use the same vector model. Search modes include semantic retrieval, full-text retrieval, and hybrid retrieval; hybrid retrieval merges multiple result paths through RRF, and result reordering applies a ReRank model for a second ordering pass. The citation cap is expressed in tokens. The minimum relevance value takes effect only under semantic retrieval or when result reordering is used. Question optimization performs coreference resolution and question expansion and adds one model call before retrieval. Image retrieval requires an image input and the corresponding model capability, and reordering requires an available model and must be enabled in settings; these paths do not form a fixed part of every request.

Hypothetical drill sample: a store fresh-food department intends to draft one shrinkage statement for a concession counter, and three source sentences are available for checking. Sentence one: "This counter is operated on site by a concession supplier and settled on a sales-share basis." Sentence two: "From 1 March 2025 to 31 March 2025, the shrinkage records for leafy vegetables at this counter registered a total shrinkage quantity of 120 kilograms." Sentence three: "The above shrinkage records were reviewed and signed by the store manager on 2 April 2025." The draft sentence to be assessed is: "Shrinkage of leafy vegetables at this counter has long been held at an extremely low level." The material needed for the assessment is the period, quantity, and review status in the original shrinkage records, and the retrieval scope is limited to the shrinkage record collection already ingested for this counter.

Constraints at the retrieval step

Several constraints follow from the documents themselves. The draft sentence combines a period claim, a quantity claim, and a qualitative judgment, while the available source sentences supply one month of quantity data and one review signature. Retrieval cannot widen that scope on its own. The concession contract establishes the operating and settlement relationship; it does not state a publication authorization for marketing text. The review signature records a review action; it does not state whether the shrinkage quantity was adopted as a settlement basis.

Search mode selection matters for this material. The draft sentence contains noun phrases such as "leafy vegetables" and "shrinkage," so keyword matching and semantic recall each have a role, and the three modes should be compared against the actual test question rather than assumed. The citation cap is measured in tokens, and the shrinkage records may differ greatly in fragment length, so the cap should be compared for whether long and short fragments are cited completely. The minimum relevance value applies only under semantic retrieval or result reordering; relevant and irrelevant samples should be labelled first, then the retained content compared after filtering. Question optimization is not enabled at the start, because the draft sentence has a clear subject; enabling and disabling it can be compared for whether the subject is altered. Result reordering is not enabled at the start, because it requires an available model and explicit enabling; the candidate ordering without reordering can be observed first.

Configuration and implementation checks

Configuration itemHypothetical starting point for this drillReason for the choice and comparison method
Associated knowledge basesConcession contract base, shrinkage record base, inbound inspection record baseThe three bases must use the same vector model to be associated together; verify identifiers first and exclude any that do not match
Search modeHybrid retrievalThe draft sentence contains noun phrases such as leafy vegetables and shrinkage, so keyword hits and semantic recall each have a use; compare the three modes against the test question
Citation capA hypothetical starting value of a number of tokensNo official default is documented; this starting point is used to compare whether long and short shrinkage record fragments are cited completely, then compared against an adjusted value
Minimum relevanceA hypothetical starting value within the 0-1 rangeThis value takes effect only under semantic retrieval or result reordering; label relevant and irrelevant samples first, then compare retained content after filtering
Question optimizationNot enabled for nowThe draft sentence has a clear subject; compare whether the subject is altered when enabled and when disabled, then decide
Result reorderingNot enabled for nowReordering requires an available model and must be enabled in settings; observe candidate ordering without reordering first, then decide whether to introduce it

Three common errors

  1. Treating "has long been held at an extremely low level" as supported by the material. The material provides only a single month's shrinkage quantity and a review signature for March 2025, and states no long-term trend or comparison benchmark. Check: input the draft sentence and the three source sentences, compare whether "long" and "extremely low" have corresponding fields, and observe that no comparable interval or threshold exists in the material.
  2. Treating the review signature on the shrinkage record as the shrinkage data having taken effect. The signature is a review action, and whether the shrinkage quantity was adopted as a settlement basis is a separate fact. Check: input the third source sentence and the draft sentence, compare the signature date against any settlement field, and observe that the material states no settlement adoption status.
  3. Treating the supplier's on-site operating identity as authorization to publish marketing copy. The contractual relationship and publication authorization are separate facts. Check: input the first source sentence and the draft sentence, compare the contract party against any publication authorization field, and observe that the material states no publication authorization scope.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the three source sentences and the draft sentence, and under hybrid retrieval compare whether the recalled content covers the period, quantity, and review status of the shrinkage records. If the recalled content lacks the period or the review status, the basis for assessing the draft sentence is insufficient, and the gap should be recorded.
  2. Input the draft sentence together with the words "long" and "extremely low," and compare whether a corresponding interval or threshold exists in the material. If the material states none, the wording is unsupported, and the pending-verification status should be retained.
  3. Input an explicit paper case in which the reference content is an empty array, and check how the downstream design handles a reference content length of 0. If the downstream defines no empty-result branch, record it as a gap to be filled, and do not infer that retrieval necessarily returns an empty array.

This page addresses only the following: hypermarket fresh-food concession counters, product and marketing copy drafting, and knowledge base retrieval and recall. Whether a specific promotional sentence in product copy is supported by the material cannot be converted into an enterprise identity certification tutorial.
