Overseas stock replenishment: multi-turn prompts for copy drafting

Review multi-turn prompts for copy drafting in Overseas stock replenishment. Check sources, input boundaries, error handling and repeatable test evidence.

What the documents look like

Third-party overseas warehouses can serve several sales channels, and the seller allocates stock across them. The materials behind replenishment work arrive from different systems: the overseas warehouse WMS, ERP sales forecasts, freight forwarder systems and carrier bills. The four recurring documents are the replenishment plan, the inbound appointment, the inventory age table and the last-mile delivery order. Copy drafting for products and marketing draws quantities, statuses and time ranges from these materials, and anything the materials do not state stays unknown. The brief records weekly and daily update frequencies; this page does not derive any synchronization mechanism from them.

For multi-turn drafting, the practical consequence is that earlier turns are carried into the current request. The memory turns setting controls how many prior rounds the AI may reference. A larger value makes earlier dialogue easier to reuse, and it also brings in more content, which can raise consumption and affect response speed. Before drafting, the context actually carried in should be checked, and the difference between a new session and a continued session should be distinguished. Where a knowledge base conversation needs pronouns resolved, question optimization can be checked; short questions do not automatically qualify. The model context length and the reply cap determine whether a long document combined with follow-up questions can be handled in full. The reply format follows what the downstream step needs, and choosing json_schema requires filling in the corresponding format requirements and verifying the returned structure. Retrieval returns candidates by similarity and does not perform permission or entity isolation.

Constraints at the multi-turn prompts step

A hypothetical paper sample is used below. The source material reads: "Week 12 of 2025 replenishment plan: for German warehouse Class A item SKU-1001, planned replenishment is 600 units; inbound appointment status is submitted, not yet confirmed. The inventory age table shows 420 sellable units of this SKU on hand, of which 90 units have an age over 180 days." The draft sentence to be judged is: "This SKU has sufficient stock and can be scheduled for inbound and listing immediately this week." The comparison subject is SKU-1001, the period is week 12 of 2025, and the fields are appointment status and on-hand quantity. The question is whether the draft sentence is supported by the material.

The material states that the appointment is submitted and not yet confirmed, and that on-hand sellable stock is 420 units. It does not state that stock is sufficient, and it does not state that inbound and listing can proceed immediately. A pending appointment is not a confirmation, and a submitted status is not an approval. The draft sentence therefore goes beyond what the material supports, and the gap stays recorded as unsupported rather than being filled in.

Multi-turn drafting adds a second layer. Prior turns may contain earlier replenishment figures, earlier appointment statuses or earlier inventory age readings. When the memory turns setting carries those into the current request, the drafting model may reuse an old status as if it were current. The check is to compare the context actually carried in against the material for the current period, and to treat any earlier-period value as a candidate for verification rather than as a current fact.

Configuration and implementation checks

The table below ties settings to this page's documents. The values in the third column are hypothetical starting points for this paper exercise, not official defaults.

Configuration itemUse on this pageHypothetical starting point and comparison method
AI modelDrafting and follow-up answersChoose a model whose context length covers the material being cited; compare against material length
Memory turnsCarrying prior replenishment materialHypothetical starting point of a small number of turns; compare against the number of rounds actually needed
Reply capLimiting single-draft lengthHypothetical starting point that fits a complete paragraph; compare against truncation observed in output
TemperatureStable wording when citing materialHypothetical starting point on the lower side; compare against wording drift in drafts
Reply formatDownstream node reading structureWhen json_schema is chosen, fill in the format requirements and verify the returned structure
Multimodal recognitionReading replenishment screenshots or table imagesRead only when the model supports it and it is enabled; compare against input with it off

The memory turns setting is documented as controlling how many prior rounds are referenced. The reply cap is documented as limiting reply length, with a slider. Temperature is documented as controlling stability, with lower values suited to rule-bound scenarios. Reply format is documented as following downstream needs, with json_schema requiring format requirements. Multimodal recognition is documented as depending on model capability, and requests are filtered again before sending.

Three common errors

  1. Treating an unstated inbound confirmation status as confirmed, and drafting a sentence that says listing can proceed immediately. Check: take the source material above, compare "submitted, not yet confirmed" against the draft wording, and flag any occurrence of "confirmed" or "can be listed immediately" as unsupported.
  2. Treating a similarity score as a permission or entity filter, and assuming a low-scoring candidate is necessarily unrelated to the business. Check: take one retrieval candidate list, compare score against the library identifier dataset_id, and confirm that the score does not change the accessible range.
  3. Treating a form input awaiting review as already submitted successfully. Check: take the inputForm field returned by an interactive node, compare value against defaultValue, and treat a missing user value as an incomplete input.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the hypothetical source material and the draft sentence above, compare whether the draft contains a confirmation status or quantity the material does not state, and record the gap as unsupported when it does.
  2. Input a continued session with a follow-up question, compare the history rounds actually carried in against the configured memory turns, confirm the carried range matches the setting, and record any excess as pending verification.
  3. Input the paper empty result [], compare how the downstream node is designed to handle empty references, and confirm that no replenishment conclusion without a source is produced; do not claim that a fictional rule search necessarily returns empty.

The similarity score remains a retrieval ranking value and does not exclude unrelated businesses or unauthorized records. Retrieval is not authorization. The interactive node returns a display configuration containing type and params; internal runtime fields such as entryNodeIds, memoryEdges, nodeOutputs and nodeResponseId are not returned. Forms collect values, and business verification, approval, database writes and external synchronization require their stated downstream implementation. Where the material does not state a field, the field remains unknown.
