What the documents look like
Weighing and sorting for fresh-food fulfillment happens inside the warehouse, and the records that matter center on weight and specification. The daily material set includes sorting task sheets, weighing labels, short-weight compensation forms, and quality inspection records. Sources span the WMS, electronic scales, the order system, and inspection photographs. Each order produces new weighing and labeling entries, while inspection and compensation activity is summarized at the daily level.
In contract and transaction material comparison, these documents serve as source evidence. A task sheet states the sorting object and the specification requirement. A weighing label records the actual weight. A compensation form reflects how a short-weight case was handled. An inspection record adds quality status. Citation tracing requires each conclusion to be tied to a specific location in the original material, and where material is missing, the gap stays open.
Constraints at the citation tracing step
The knowledge base search node selects one or more knowledge bases that share the same vector model, and outputs cited content as an array whose length may be zero. An empty array does not mean the workflow has errored out or stopped. The retrieval output is passed to the answering step, where each statement is checked against the cited original text. The minimum relevance score is a filtering threshold that takes effect only in semantic retrieval or when result reranking is used; it does not perform permission or entity isolation. RRF is the fusion process for hybrid retrieval results, not a switch that can be turned on. Reranking requires a rerank model and must be enabled in the settings. Image retrieval requires corresponding image input and model capability. Knowledge bases built on different vector models cannot be associated together; the identifiers should be checked first and non-matching bases excluded.
Hypothetical drill sample: a forward warehouse sorting task sheet dated 12 March 2025 states "Object: spinach, 500 g specification; sorter: A; status is pending review." A weighing label for the same day records "actual weight 480 g." A short-weight compensation form states "application status is pending approval; compensation target: order B." The draft sentence to be judged is "This order has completed short-weight compensation." The original material does not state that compensation was executed, and a pending-approval status does not establish that compensation was completed.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration item | Hypothetical starting value for this drill | Reason for the choice and comparison method |
|---|---|---|
| Associated knowledge bases | Select one knowledge base containing sorting task sheets, weighing labels, compensation forms, and inspection records | Confirm that the vector model identifiers of each base match before associating them together; exclude those that do not match |
| Search mode | Hybrid retrieval | Needs to cover both precise terms such as specification numbers and natural-language descriptions; compare with pure semantic retrieval results |
| Citation limit | Set a trial value in tokens | The documentation specifies controlling the citation limit in tokens; compare stability against a top-k approach |
| Minimum relevance | Set a trial value in the 0–1 range | Takes effect only in semantic retrieval or result reranking; compare recall range against leaving it off |
| Reranking | Enable according to settings | Requires a rerank model; compare candidate ordering before and after enabling |
| Reply format | Default | Change to json_schema only when a downstream process reads fixed-format content |
Three common errors
- Treating the minimum relevance score as a permission or entity filter. Input a cross-business query, compare the retrieved content against the query subject, and observe whether unrelated business records are still returned. A relevance score does not exclude unauthorized records.
- Treating a pending-approval compensation form as completed compensation. Input the draft sentence above, compare it against the status field in the compensation form, and observe whether the draft sentence exceeds what the original states.
- Treating RRF as a switch that can be turned on. Input a hybrid retrieval configuration, compare the fusion process described in the documentation against the configuration interface, and observe whether an independent RRF switch exists.
How to verify the setup
- Citation tracing check. Input the original text of the sample task sheet, weighing label, and compensation form; compare the draft sentence "This order has completed short-weight compensation" against the compensation form's "application status is pending approval"; observe whether the draft sentence matches the original status. If the draft sentence claims completion while the original only states pending approval, the condition is not met.
- Empty-result handling check. Input the paper retrieval output array
[], compare the downstream answering step design, and observe whether the downstream continues executing with empty citations. The documentation states that the empty-array path runs through; if the downstream is designed to error out and stop, the condition is not met. - Cross-model association check. Input two knowledge bases with different vector model identifiers, compare whether the identifiers match, and observe whether the joint-association condition is met. Exclude those with mismatched identifiers; do not run cross-model retrieval to compare missed recalls.
