What the documents look like
A fresh-food concession counter in a hypermarket is frequently run by a supplier who stations staff on site and is paid through a sales-share arrangement. Store fresh-food staff, the concession supplier and the store manager all take part in daily operations. That structure spreads the paperwork across several parties: the concession contract defines the share and the boundaries of responsibility, the daily sales report and the shrinkage record capture weighed sales and how shrinkage is allocated, and the food purchase inspection record carries the document check for each arriving batch. POS data, supplier delivery notes, food-safety ledgers and store stock counts are the main data sources. Errors in this area can lead to food-safety penalties, gross-margin disputes and customer claims.
For forms and interaction, the existence of these materials only identifies what can be checked. It does not mean any field is automatically validated by a system or that any action has been authorized. A form node collects the values a user enters and passes them to later nodes; it does not act as a business database.
Constraints at the interactive forms step
The form input node and the user selection node are both user-interaction nodes. When either is triggered, the conversation enters an interaction state, the workflow state is recorded, and execution waits until the user finishes the interaction, after which the workflow continues downward. This behaviour sets the boundary for store service and internal training: information collection can be done through a form, while field validation, business approval, write-back and bulk operations need to be implemented in an external system or in later nodes. The user selection node executes a branch according to the user's choice and cannot serve as a staff directory or a business-data selector. Retrieval and forms do not constitute authorization to execute.
Hypothetical paper exercise (documents only, not actually submitted): a hypermarket fresh-food department signs a concession contract with a supplier, under which the supplier stations staff to run a leafy-vegetable counter and is paid a share of sales, with the contract term covering the current quarter. The store receives a batch of leafy vegetables. The food purchase inspection record states the arrival date, product name, quantity and supplier name; the inspector signature field is blank. The daily sales report shows the counter's weighed sales amount for that day, and the shrinkage record notes the quantity written off the same day. A draft handover request reads: "The supplier's share for this quarter has been settled under the contract; please let the store release subsequent deliveries directly." The request attaches no signature page and no settlement voucher.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration or check item | Related material on this page | Implementation point |
|---|---|---|
| Form input node | Food purchase inspection record, shrinkage record | Collects required information and passes it to later nodes after submission; does not write to a business database |
| User selection node | Check of the sales-share clause in the concession contract | Executes a branch according to the choice; not a staff or business-data selector |
| Interaction-state waiting | Judgement of the handover request | Records workflow state and waits for the interaction, then continues |
| Required-field check | Inspector signature on the inspection record | Test behaviour with the field missing and after it is filled; the hypothetical starting point here is a blank signature field |
| Downstream division of work | Share settlement, delivery release | Field validation, approval and write-back are implemented in an external system or later nodes |
Three common errors
- Treating form submission as completed business approval. In the exercise above, the draft sentence states that the share "has been settled under the contract," while the materials attach no settlement voucher and no signature page. Collecting that sentence in a form does not create a settlement fact.
- Treating a user-selection branch as authorized release. The exercise request asks to "release subsequent deliveries directly." The user selection node only executes a branch; it does not constitute delivery authorization.
- Reading a blank inspector signature field as a failed inspection. A blank field is an unstated condition, which is a different fact from an inspection that did not pass.
How to verify the setup
- Input the food purchase inspection record text and the draft sentence from the exercise above, then compare "the share has been settled under the contract" against whether the materials contain a settlement voucher or signature page for the same party, the same period and the same field. Only when such a voucher exists and points to the same supplier and the current quarter is the settlement judgement satisfied; otherwise record it as unsupported.
- Input the exercise request "please let the store release subsequent deliveries directly," then compare whether the request carries a release authorization or an effective clause. The materials state no authorization, so the result should be recorded as pending verification and not judged as released.
- Input the field showing a blank inspector signature, then compare whether it and "inspection failed" are mutually exclusive values of the same field. They are different, so record the result as unstated and keep the evidence gap open.
A hypothetical starting value used above is the blank inspector signature field. It was chosen because the inspection record states arrival date, product name, quantity and supplier name while leaving the signature empty, and it is compared against the same field after a signature is entered. This is a paper starting point for the exercise, not an official default.
The verification steps test the named primary task of interactive forms for store service and internal training. They inspect the specific proposed copy against the supplied source wording and its limits. They do not drift into identity certification, report analysis or any other task. Where a document field is not provided, it remains unknown. A pending request is not an approval, an offered option is not an execution, and an unsigned termination is not a completed termination.
