What the documents look like
Brand-owned stores are staffed and accounted for directly by the brand, without a franchise contract acting as an intermediate layer. The operating materials for this category come from the POS system, member CRM, ERP inventory, and store inspections. The documents handled day to day include the daily sales report, the shift schedule, display photos, and the inventory transfer order. These materials update on a daily or weekly basis and feed operating reviews and exception reviews.
Two or three industry facts shape this page. First, the absence of a franchise contract means the data boundary between a store, a regional manager, and the brand company is set by internal authorization rather than by a contract relationship, so the operations configuration has to match that internal boundary. Second, the source systems are separate: sales figures, membership records, inventory movements, and inspection evidence arrive from different systems and different document types, so a review conclusion needs the specific source material that supports it. Third, the materials are the working evidence for target tracking and exception review, which means a statement about performance or about a transfer order must be traceable to a field actually recorded in the source document.
The database and operations step answers a narrow question: after these documents enter the system, are the connection settings correct, does the retrieval scope cover the intended store and period, and does an exception conclusion rest on the original material. Retrieval association and similarity scores do not carry authorization or entity-isolation functions, and a retrieval result does not constitute authorization.
Constraints at the database operations step
Database connection, cache, vector store, and object storage each serve different roles. The business record store and the vector retrieval backend must be checked against the actual deployment; the connection target cannot be inferred from a variable name. When materials such as the daily sales report or the inventory transfer order enter a knowledge base, libraries built on different vector models cannot be associated together, so the identifier must be checked first and non-matching libraries excluded. Reciprocal rank fusion is a hybrid result fusion process and is not described as a switch. An empty-result handoff can be checked against an explicit paper input of [] to confirm the downstream design.
Hypothetical drill sample. The source material reads: "The daily sales report for brand-owned store A in the East China region on 17 March 2025 records daily sales of CNY 86,400; the shift schedule for the same day records 6 sales assistants on duty; inventory transfer order number DB-0317-02 records 120 units transferred in that day." The draft sentence to be judged is: "Store A exceeded its sales target on 17 March, and the transfer order has been fully executed." Judging "exceeded its sales target" requires the target value in the source text, and judging "has been fully executed" requires a receipt or inbound record. Neither appears in the available material, so both claims are unsupported.
Configuration and implementation checks
The table below lists checks tied to this page's task and to the sample above. Values marked as a hypothetical trial starting point are set for this paper drill to illustrate the comparison method and are not official defaults.
| Check item | Hypothetical trial starting point | Comparison method and reason |
|---|---|---|
| Business database connection | Filled per the deployment plan | Compare against the store and period recorded in the documents; do not infer from the name |
| Vector store identifier | Filled per the actual backend | Check that the library identifier matches the retrieval target; libraries on different models are not associated together |
| Daily sales report field scope | Store, date, amount | Compare field by field against the sample text; a missing field is recorded as pending verification |
| Transfer order status field | Order number, quantity, status | When the status value is empty or not recorded, execution is not determined |
| Retrieval return count observation | Record the actual count | Compare against the query conditions; first-hit or full recall is not guaranteed |
| Post-change review sample | The same daily sales report | After a configuration change, recheck the same sample rather than only checking that the process is alive |
Three common errors
- Treating a retrieval result as an authorization basis. Input is a retrieval request scoped to "store A, 17 March"; the comparison object is the authorized scope for that store and period; the observable result is that the retrieval returns records for another store or another period. Record the mismatch between retrieval scope and authorized scope; the retrieval itself is not an authorization action.
- Treating a similarity score as an entity filter. Input is a query containing the keyword "transfer order"; the comparison object is the store identifier on the returned records; the observable result is that transfer orders for a store other than A are returned. A similarity score does not exclude unrelated business records, so the store identifier must be checked separately and non-matching records excluded.
- Judging an unrecorded status in a draft sentence as completed. Input is the draft sentence "the transfer order has been fully executed"; the comparison object is the status field in the transfer order source text; the observable result is that the source text records no receipt or inbound record. Record this as unsupported; do not determine it as executed or as a completed termination.
How to verify the setup
- For the daily sales report in the sample source text, input the store, date, and amount fields; the comparison object is the verbatim record in the source text; the observable result is that the three fields match the source text with no extra inference. If the source text lacks the target value, the target-attainment judgment remains unsupported.
- For the draft sentence "the transfer order has been fully executed," input transfer order number DB-0317-02 and the status field; the comparison object is whether the source text records a receipt or inbound record; the observable result is that the source text does not record that status. Judge this as pending verification, not as executed or as a completed termination.
- For retrieval scope, input the query condition "store A, 17 March, transfer order"; the comparison object is the store and date identifiers on the returned records; the observable result is that all returned records belong to store A and carry the date 17 March. If records for another store or period appear, record a scope mismatch; an empty result can be checked against the paper input
