What the documents look like
Brand-operated livestream rooms carry their own scripts, inventory, and after-sales work, so the daily document set is made up of livestream scripts, product explanation cards, shift schedules, and livestream reviews. Operating reports and exception reviews ask where a conversion problem in one session or one hour came from, and the retrieval scope falls on these documents. Data sources include Douyin Shop Compass, Juliang Qianchuan, livestream comments, and transaction details, with updates at session or hourly frequency, so review material and retrieved content often sit inside the same operating cycle. Errors here lead to false-advertising complaints, oversold inventory, and declining conversion. When retrieved references disagree with the script or the explanation card, the review conclusion drifts away from what was actually executed.
Constraints at the retrieval step
The knowledge base search node can associate one or more knowledge bases that use the same vector model. Bases with different vector models cannot be associated together; the practical step is to check the vector model identifier, exclude those that do not match, and record the actual observation, without running a cross-model retrieval to compare missed recalls. Search modes are semantic retrieval, full-text retrieval, and hybrid retrieval; compare them against the test question rather than assuming one mode suits all material. The citation limit is measured in tokens, so test with real material of differing length to see whether content stays complete. Minimum relevance takes effect only under semantic retrieval or when result reranking is used; label relevant and irrelevant samples before adjusting the threshold. Question optimization performs coreference resolution and question expansion; compare the original question with the optimized question and check whether the subject was altered. Citation content is output as an array whose length can be 0, and the output path still runs when nothing is found. RRF is the fusion process of hybrid retrieval, not a switch. Image retrieval requires an image input and the corresponding model capability, and reranking requires a rerank model enabled by its settings; optional paths do not mean every request executes all of them. Retrieval does not constitute authorization; forms collect values, and business verification, approval, database writes, and external synchronization each need their own downstream implementation.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample: the source material reads, "From 20:00 to 21:00 on 12 June 2025, the host in brand livestream room A followed the shift schedule and executed version 3 of the product explanation card, which marked the inventory ceiling for that product at 800 units. The livestream review for the same period records 620 units sold, and the comment stream contains the phrase 'oversold'." The sentence to be judged is, "Inventory was oversold in that period, and the host should be held responsible." The source states only the inventory ceiling, the sold quantity, and the comment phrase; it does not state the actual inventory deduction result or the attribution of responsibility.
Configuration and implementation checks
The table below centers on this sample and lists officially described settings or implementation checks relevant to this feature and primary task. The values are starting points for this hypothetical trial and need comparison against another set of values before adjustment.
| Configuration item | Hypothetical trial starting point and reason | Comparison method and check action |
|---|---|---|
| Associated knowledge bases | Select the script base and the review base whose vector model identifiers match | Check each base's vector model identifier, exclude mismatches, and record |
| Search mode | First run the same question through semantic retrieval and full-text retrieval separately | Compare the two return sets, then decide whether to use hybrid retrieval |
| Citation limit | Start at a token amount that can hold one complete explanation card body | Test once with a long explanation card and once with a short review record, and see whether content is truncated |
| Minimum relevance | Start at a middle value, since this value takes effect only under semantic retrieval or reranking | Label relevant and irrelevant samples first, then adjust up and down and compare the filtered results |
| Question optimization | Enable for multi-turn follow-ups and short questions | Compare the original question with the optimized question and check whether the subject was altered |
| Result reranking | Enable by its settings when a rerank model is available | Compare candidate order before and after reranking, and observe filtering with the rerank score |
Three common errors
- Treating minimum relevance as a permission or entity filter. The value is a filtering threshold; it does not exclude unrelated businesses or unauthorized records, and retrieval does not carry authorization judgment. To check, input the same question together with a set of unrelated records, compare whether the returned content still includes them, and if it does, the value has not performed isolation.
- Associating knowledge bases that use different vector models. The documentation requires associating knowledge bases with the same vector model. To check, verify each base's vector model identifier one by one, exclude mismatches, and record the actual observation without inferring runtime results of a joint association.
- Writing the sentence under judgment directly as a conclusion. In the sample, the source states only the inventory ceiling, the sold quantity, and the comment phrase; it does not state the inventory deduction result or the attribution of responsibility. To check, compare the source and the drafted sentence field by field, and record missing fields as unsupported.
How to verify the setup
- For the sample sentence "Inventory was oversold in that period, and the host should be held responsible," input the two source sentences and the drafted sentence, and compare three field groups: 620 units sold against the 800-unit inventory ceiling, the comment phrase against the inventory deduction result, and shift execution against responsibility attribution. A contradiction is judged only when the source states mutually exclusive values for the same subject, same period, and same field; when a field is not stated, or only related-stage evidence exists, the judgment is unsupported or pending verification.
- For the citation limit, input one complete explanation card and one short review record, and compare whether the returned content is truncated. The expectation is that the long document may be incomplete at the starting value and needs adjustment and retesting; a single pass is not guaranteed.
- For the empty result, use the paper input of an empty citation array [] to check whether the downstream design carries an output of length 0. The expectation is that the downstream path still runs; do not claim that a fictional rule retrieval necessarily returns [].
A pending review does not demonstrate the absence of operating permission, and signing, reaching cooperation, and contract effectiveness are three distinct facts. Retrieval or a form does not constitute authorized execution; approval, writes, and synchronization each need their own downstream implementation.
