What the documents look like
Fresh-food concession counters in hypermarkets are frequently run by on-site supplier staff under a revenue-share arrangement. That operating model shapes the document set. A daily sales report and a shrinkage ticket have to line up, day by day, against the concession contract and the food purchase inspection record. Sales figures come from the POS system. Delivery and inspection data come from supplier delivery notes and the food safety ledger. Count results come from the store's own stocktake.
Three steps consume most of the working time: reconciling weighed sales, handling shrinkage allocation, and checking purchase inspection evidence. These same materials decide whether an operating report can be reproduced, and whether an exception review can be traced to a specific batch and a specific boundary of responsibility. The daily and per-batch update rhythm matters here only in that the report and the review both depend on records that are meant to correspond to the same day and the same batch.
Constraints at the database operations step
Database operations carries one job on this page: keep the materials behind the operating report and the exception review storable, retrievable and checkable. Business source data and the vector retrieval backend are checked against the connections actually deployed. Configuration values are not inferred from variable names. Connections and concurrency are observed against the deployment's own load, and thresholds tested elsewhere are not copied across.
Backup creation and an actual restore are verified separately, with a sample and a record that can be checked. After a database or service configuration change, the same business sample is inspected again; process liveness alone does not establish normal operation.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample: on 3 June 2025 a store fresh-food department submits a handover request, proposing to move supplier A's daily sales report, shrinkage ticket and food purchase inspection record for that day into the exception review repository. The source text for checking is: "Concession contract no. LH-2025-018, signed 10 January 2025, revenue share settled on the monthly sales total." "Shrinkage ticket dated 3 June 2025, shrinkage reason field blank, quantity 3.2 kg, no store manager signature present." "Food purchase inspection record states the batch arrival date as 2 June 2025, supplying entity supplier A, inspector the store receiving clerk." The draft sentence to be assessed is: "This shrinkage has been confirmed by supplier A and the allocation has been completed." The authorization boundary of the request is: the store fresh-food department raises the handover, the store manager's approval status is not stated, supplier A has not signed any confirmation in the materials, and no allocation result appears in the materials.
Configuration and implementation checks
The table below lists only settings documented in the official material that relate to this page's sample, or explicitly named implementation checks. Every value in the second column is a starting point for this hypothetical exercise, used to compare against the deployment's own load or against fields in the materials. It is not an official default.
| Item | Hypothetical starting point for this exercise | Reason and comparison object |
|---|---|---|
| Business source data connection address | Enter according to the chosen deployment plan | Compare character by character with the connection address for the corresponding service in the deployment plan document |
| Vector retrieval backend connection address | Enter according to the vector store actually deployed | Compare with the vector store type actually enabled in the same deployment |
| Database connection pool maximum links | Set after observing the deployment's own load | Compare with the actual connection count during the deployment's own peak period; do not copy another deployment |
| Log output level | A level consistent with the investigation goal | Compare with the record granularity this exception review needs to retain |
| Backup and restore sample | The daily sales report and shrinkage ticket from this sample | Compare with the actual field values after restore |
| Post-change recheck sample | The purchase inspection record from this sample | Compare with the same record's field values before the change |
A vector similarity score is not a permission filter or an entity filter, and retrieval by itself grants no operating permission. Knowledge-base reference limits are read in the unit the documentation states; they are not converted into an item count. Only the same vector model can be associated together; libraries on different vector models are checked by identifier and non-matching ones are excluded, without running a cross-model retrieval to compare missed recall. An empty result can carry a downstream design check; it does not establish that any particular rule's retrieval necessarily returns empty.
Three common errors
- Treating a pending approval as granted. In the sample the store manager's approval status is not stated. If the handover is taken as approved on that basis, the input is "approval status not stated", the comparison object is the state "approved", and the observable result is that the two do not agree, so the item is recorded as pending verification.
- Treating the draft sentence as an occurred fact. The draft says shrinkage has been confirmed by supplier A and the allocation completed. In the materials the shrinkage ticket signature field is empty and no allocation result appears. The input is "no signature and no allocation record", the comparison object is "confirmed and allocation completed", and the observable result is that the corresponding evidence is absent, so the claim remains unsupported.
- Merging different fields into one judgment. The shrinkage ticket quantity and the purchase inspection record arrival date are different fields. If quantity is used to infer whether inspection was completed, the input is "3.2 kg", the comparison object is "inspection completion status", and the observable result is that the fields do not correspond, so no inspection conclusion follows.
How to verify the setup
- Input the concession contract source text from the sample together with the draft sentence. Compare the contract signing date and the revenue-share wording against the confirming party the draft claims. The observable result: when the supplier confirmation in the draft has no corresponding party or clause in the contract source text, the claim is judged unsupported.
- Input the shrinkage ticket source text from the sample. Compare the shrinkage reason field and the signature field against the allocation completion the draft claims. The observable result: when the signature field is empty and no allocation result appears, the item is judged pending verification, not judged negative.
- Input the food purchase inspection record from the sample. Compare the three fields of arrival date, supplying entity and inspector. The observable result: when all three are supplier A and the store receiving clerk, this supports only the fact that the batch arrival was inspected; it does not support the conclusion that shrinkage allocation has been completed.
All of the above judgments apply to the hypothetical paper exercise sample. They were not executed against real records, and no actual approval, signature or allocation result was produced.
