What the documents look like
Tmall flagship store operations sit inside a framework of brand authorization, flagship store identity and Tmall points compensation rules. The working materials for operating reports and exception review are the product publishing page, the brand authorization letter, the delivery commitment record and after-sales tickets. These materials update daily and per order. The most time-consuming steps are verifying category qualifications, maintaining the 48-hour delivery commitment and handling delayed-delivery compensation. Tool calls and plugins enter this step by letting the model decide, from a tool description and parameter descriptions, whether to invoke a system module or a plugin, so that report data retrieval and exception checking can be attached to a workflow.
Two features of this category shape the work. Brand authorization and flagship identity mean that a product publishing page carries claims about store status and category qualification that must be read against the authorization letter, not assumed. The 48-hour delivery commitment and delayed-delivery compensation mean that delivery statements belong to a defined commitment scope, and a store-level commitment does not by itself describe a single product's actual outbound time. These two features determine what a reviewer compares when a draft sentence or a handover request is placed next to the source material.
Constraints at the tool calls step
A tool description tells the model what the tool is for, and it should state the input conditions and the situations in which the tool should not be called. For system modules the tool parameters are already fixed; for plugins the tool parameters are configurable. The parameter description and whether a parameter is required jointly affect whether the model issues a call. When a suitable required parameter is absent, the model may not call the tool, and interaction can guide the user to supply it; the actual request content is then checked. In advanced orchestration, available tools are connected to the tool call module, and a small number of tools is recommended for tuning first. The tool call termination node ends the current call, does not call other tools and does not call AI to summarize the tool result. A retrieval or a form collects values; business verification, approval, database writes and external synchronization each need their own downstream implementation, and retrieval itself does not constitute authorization.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample. A product publishing page draft awaiting review states: "This store is a brand flagship store, the category qualification has been submitted, and the delivery commitment is dispatch within 48 hours." The signature date is 1 June 2024, and the authorization scope is limited to this brand flagship store. One proposed sentence reads: "This product has completed category qualification verification and meets the delivery commitment." A separate handover request reads: "Please call the report tool to summarize this month's delayed-delivery compensation records." In the sample the qualification status is "submitted" and no review approval is recorded; the delivery commitment is a store-level commitment and the product's actual outbound time is not recorded.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration item | Hypothetical starting point for this exercise | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| Tool description | State the purpose, input conditions and situations where the tool should not be called | Compare against the tool node description text and check whether it covers the report and review scope |
| Plugin tool parameters | Fill each configurable plugin item | Compare parameter description and required flag against the actual request to see whether required parameters are present |
| Tool connection | Connect the report tool and the exception check tool | Confirm the diamond connection in advanced orchestration and tune with a small number of tools first |
| Tool call termination | Attach after the report tool | Confirm that reaching this node ends the call, with no further tool call and no AI summary |
| Custom tool variable | Add a parameter description for a node not treated as a tool parameter | Check whether the variable description corresponds to the node actually called |
| Required parameter completion | Supply a missing parameter through interaction guidance | Check the parameter value in the actual request after the interaction |
The starting points above are chosen for this paper exercise so that each item has a stated reason and a comparison method. They are not official defaults, and no numeric limit, unit, menu or global switch is assumed.
Three common errors
- Treating "category qualification submitted" as "category qualification verification completed." The sample source text records only "submitted" and no review approval, while the proposed sentence states "has completed category qualification verification." This writes an unsupported status as a completed one. The check takes the sample source text and the proposed sentence as input, compares the status value of the qualification field, and is satisfied only when the source text contains review approval or an equivalent statement.
- Applying the store-level 48-hour delivery commitment directly to a specific product. The sample commitment is store-level and the product's actual outbound time is not recorded, while the proposed sentence states "meets the delivery commitment." The check compares the subject of the commitment with the product object, and is satisfied only when the source text clearly places that product's outbound time within the commitment scope.
- Treating the handover request "please call the report tool to summarize this month's delayed-delivery compensation records" as an authorized execution action. The sample provides only the request text, with no approval or execution status recorded. The check compares the request status with the execution status, and is satisfied only when a clear approval and an execution record are present.
How to verify the setup
- Verification one: input the sample source text and the proposed sentence "This product has completed category qualification verification and meets the delivery commitment," then compare the status value of the qualification field with the assertion in the proposed sentence. The proposed sentence agrees with the source text only when the source text contains review approval or an equivalent statement. When the source text records only "submitted," the proposed sentence is not supported and the evidence gap is recorded.
- Verification two: input the handover request "please call the report tool to summarize this month's delayed-delivery compensation records," then compare the request text with approval and execution records. The request can be judged to have entered execution only when a clear approval and an execution record are present. With only the request text, the request remains pending and is not treated as executed.
- Verification three: input the connection relationship of the tool call termination node, then compare whether the node is attached after the report tool. The termination behavior is satisfied only when reaching this node ends the call, with no further tool call and no AI summary. If the node is not connected or its position does not match, the actual observation is recorded and no run result is inferred.
Across these checks, retrieval and similarity settings do not carry permission or entity isolation duties. Libraries using different vector models cannot be associated together; identifiers are checked first and non-matching libraries are excluded. An empty result can be carried into a downstream design check using an explicit paper input, and no claim is made that a fictional rule retrieval necessarily returns empty. Optional paths shown in the overall document flow diagram do not mean every request executes all of them; image retrieval requires a corresponding image input and model capability, and reranking requires a model and must be enabled by its setting.
